Text: Psalm 124
Title: Like a Bird in the Bracken
At “my” local church last Sunday, a preacher preached that HelenKeller was a good Christian doing the Lord’s work. When I asked him where he obtained such information, he deemed me unworthy to even respond, but merely gave me a social “nicety.” Thank God for Doug, his mind, and his willingness to share & teach. He is such an encouragement to me. I pray God will be bless him mightily.
As a rapper that is familiar with sampling. I’ll just say there are so many quotable lines. Doug Wilson also drops barz.
I can't get enough of Doug's sermons. So much common sense and Biblical science all wrapped up into one. So much plain talk for the common man. Excellent stuff.
Also remember there were many saints who went to the stake and were burned alive, there were many who went to the cross and were crucified, there were many who went to the sword and will be headed. The thing is it's not about us, it's about God's plan. We pray and hope for the best, but if the worst shall come God still deserves the glory.
My goodness- I remember last minute acts of God - he saved me from prison ( I did not commit a crime but denounced corruption ) and crushed an enemy - after that a strange mood sets in - I am afraid of denying him or missing a chance to boost his message. I can confirm this preaching so much. There is another thing that happens when he delivers you from evil - time is different, like there is no time just silence, peace and joy. Please remember Jesus Christ : Father I submit my spirit into your hands.
What a gift Pastor Doug has to communicate Biblical Truth, relate to our lives and encourage us!! I've finally become more bold in telling people about Jesus and my life being saved by His grace, after falling away and being brought to my knees. I'm already feeling the divisions and the enemy at work and it is painful. But I know it is what Jesus tells us will happen. Thanks again for sermons that always "find" me right when I need them. Praise God.
Pray for this man as persecution of the church ramps up here in America.

“God does nothing except in response to believing prayer.” Maybe God waits until the nick of time because His people don’t start praying soon enough.
Perhaps if God delivered us from our tribulations too soon, we wouldn’t realize we had been delivered. Perhaps we would (and do) believe we delivered ourselves.
I’ve used drugs lately. And I don’t want it. Please pray for me. Lord my savior deliver me.
