The purpose of that kill switch is basically like a jet ski kill switch. There's probably supposed to be a rubber/plastic cord hooked up to the little hole in the kill switch and wrap the other end around your wrist. This way if you fall off the bike, it turns off and doesn't keep going or come back and run you over.
Your kill switch is designed to connect to a strap that you attach to the rider so that if the rider falls off the quad it automatically kills the engine. Also, the petcock being lower than the carb isn't an issue. The gas tank being higher than the carb will force gas through the petcock to the carburetor.

Most of these smaller quads also have an adjustable thumb throttle to adjust the speed as the kid grows up.

I was the kid that learned how to modern it though and just popped the screw out made it go way faster
After 6 Chinese scooters, i always bypass those dumb fuses by clipping the C clips into each other. If you stick with the right sized battery and keep track of no accidental grounding, you should be good
Just spent the day in the garden getting my mums petrol lawnmower and strimmer going as lock down in UK so something to do sweet vid as allways Migs
Watch out for the throttles on those, sometimes you’ll turn them on and they will idle but when you switch the choke to on/off they will sometimes just start going forwards at full throttle
Lol that's if your cable is to short or routed wrong 😂 and if U don't know how to make bike's run right would only happen to dumb asses
If that’s happening then you put your slide in backwards. The throttle cable attaches to a needle that goes into the top of the carb, and the needle is housed in a slide to stay centred. The slide has a notch on one side and a bump on the other. If the notch is in the wrong side, it’ll stay stuck at full throttle.

Hey miggs hit the plastic with a little wet sanding and some wd40 she will look mint and if you need new tires I have brand new tires I don't need
You need to make sure that that system doesn't have a vacuum operated pulse pump, a lot of those Chinese bikes have them so that the fuel doesn't leak. Good luck and stay healthy.
You can bring back the plastics with a sos pad and soap & water or 1000 grit sandpaper. Then spray wd40 and let it soak, that’s a budget fix.
Your gas was off the whole time and when u turned it “off” u turned it on. But awesome videos man!

My parents bought me and my sister 2 quads, my dad fixed my sisters little one, now me and my dad are fixing my yamaha raptor. We waked it up and its really loud like a chain saw, i hope i will be able to ride it soon!

I usually just get really lucky when driving around and finding stuff at the curb with a free sign on it, but also I spread the word through friends and family that I’m always looking for new projects, word of mouth spreads fast 👍🏻

If you mix a solution of paint thinner and boiled linseed oil, it will bring back the plastics, I’ve done it with 4 of my quads
I noticed the abs and parking brake light on dash my 200 silverado had that issue it would randomly come on and off for 2 years I finally fixed it for good, you need to take the ebcm out from the truck crack it open very carefully and re solder a couple joints on the motherboard reinstall and bingo it fixes the issue vibration and age will cause a bad joint and its the root of the issue

The kill switch, normally operates with a wristcord. So if you fall off, the engine would shut down. Kinda like on a jetski. You are welcome 😁👍🏻
That kill switch is for when you fall off it has a líne that attaches to you incase you fall off it comes off with you and kills it.
The kill switch is its supposed to have a string that goes around your wrist and the switch so when you crash it pulls it out
Wet sand the plastic 220 then up and then you can use a torch lighlty or you can use a heat gun and the plastic will be like new again.

Josh Oakes I’ve had both too and my 450 does wheelies in about any gear. They are quick no deneying the fact that they are stupid fast. If I were him I’d get a 250f for now. I can ride my 450 well but I’m gonna take a 125 to the track

I think that kill switch was like a jet ski. Where u hook a string to your wrist and if you fall off it will kill the motor. Like a fail safe.

@moto migs use some Lucas stabilizer in ur oil of ur motors n thru ur gas every now n then it will make it wake up trust me I swear by this stuff I put it in my f150 and it cleaned my motor in my 5.4 v8 triton motor so well that it quit burning oil it tightens up the piston rings and lubricates everything in the engine as an additive it’s a great product! Highly recommended

In the future when disconnecting a battery or hooking one up, always unhook negative first and hook up positive first when putting it back together. Just for your safety brother!

Usually I push start mine. Kick the back tire in 2nd. And boom!
I have a quad that you can have for free but I’m in Australia it’s been sitting for ten years and is in good condition and all plastics aren’t faded at all

The kill switch is probably so the kid could strap string around his arm, so if he falls off then the bike will cut out... similar concept to a boat's kill switch

Did you go to school to become so smart on motors. I want to learn how to fix my own cars and stuff and wondering where to start first. And how?
Research and just having a go will teach you alot, sure you might break stuff but then you'll learn from the misrakes. Once you start your soon realise alot of stuff applies from stuff like this 50cc right up to a car engine and how it's really just nuts and bolts and common sense. I couldn't Change a wheel over and ended up being able to swap an engine just from research and having a go
I wouldn't mind getting one of these little quads to try and squeeze a predator 212 in it.
