I like to think that Caspar and Lindhart's ending in 3 Houses is meant to be similar, with how both are just traveling around the world, but Linhart framed it in a way to Caspar as wanting a bodyguard at his side when he travels when that was just Lindhart's way of flirting with the ever oblivious Caspar
Im pretty sure those endings are meant to be romantic. IS loves to reference old characters and Linhardt does have more than a passing resemblance to Soren (Intelligent, calculating, bad people skills, twink, long green hair, wind magic specialist, etc.).
Imo Caspar's endings with Ashe and Linhardt are meant to be a reference to Ike's endings with Ranulf and Soren.
Admittedly I dont have as much evidence for Ashe, beyond the similarity in endings and his and Caspar's supports focusing a lot on cats lol. But given the Path of Radiance's translation actively tried to make Ike straight, and Radiant Dawn's translation used an extremely abridged version of the script that cut out most of Ike and Ranulf's interactions, I wouldn't be surprised if Ashe and Caspar's supports have references that never made they way into English
@@davidmaxwell4696 yeah I immediately thought of Ike/Soren when I got their ending and I can’t not but help make them have it together on every run Lmfao, Linhart even learns mostly wind magic as well and kinda resembles Soren too

Personally I also love how chaotically bi he is. Like in his conversation with Bernie he casually dropped certain words and also ran away. Christ I am bi myself and Linhardt is a mans.

While Shez can’t romance anyone, they do have some flirty Supports. Along with Linhardt, there’s:
• Female Shez’s C-Support with Sylvain where he says “And then I can spend all my time flirting with you instead.”
• their A-Support with Dorothea where they make her blush at the end
• their A-Support with Edelgard where they make her blush
• their B and A-Support with Lysithea where they tell her smooth lines and make her blush
• their A-Support with Manuela where she asks them out on a date but they try to avoid it
• their A-Support with Yuri where he offers to spend the rest of their lives together
• their A-Support with Ignatz where if you pick the dialogue option “Crack a joke” Shez will ask Ignatz if he has a crush on them and Ignatz offers to hire Shez as his bodyguard so they can travel together
• their A-Support with Petra where she offers to take them back to Brigid with her
• their A-Support with Hilda where they talk about how she’s clinging to Shez during battle and she subtly flirts with them but remains ambiguous about it
• not really a flirty Support, but in the C-Support with Holst, you can pick the dialogue option “Make a move on Hilda?” where he responds by subtly threatening them; though with Female Shez, he does do a double take saying “You? On her?” before threatening her

• Edelgard says she’s “drawn” to Byleth in her A-Support with Hubert
• Edelgard and Monica, just everything with them
• Ferdinand and Dorothea have a lot of shiptease in their B and A-Support which has the both of them blushing a lot; plus outside of their Support Conversations, Ferdinand says he hopes to not get too distracted watching her if you make them train together and they have dialogue in Azure Gleam Chapter 9’s battle where she says he’s dashing as ever in a sad tone showing she is trying to be nice to him
• Dorothea and Petra call each other “precious to me” in their A-Support
• Ignatz and Marianne’s A-Support where he says “You can…sense my feelings?” but it turns out she was talking about pegasus
• Manuela tries to flirt with both Jeritza and Jeralt _a lot_ in their Supports
• Hanneman and Manuela get pretty flirty when he shows up in her Paralogue A Grand Day for the Opera
• Dorothea ships Bernadetta and Yuri in her and Bernadetta’s B-Support
• It’s not necessarily shipping but in Shez and Jeralt’s A-Rank, he says he hopes that Shez and Byleth could become friends and asks them to look after Byleth in case he dies

Oh, yes! Linhardt going in on showing dat bi attraction too! Now it really does feel real! I'm glad to see him flirting with boys. Linhardt always felt like he had more interest (if you can call it that with the way he acts) in women (Flayn, Hapi, Lysithea) and was just an asexual bordering on aromantic. And despite liking Casphardt, I always felt their bond to be way too platonic (and I headcanon Caspar to be aro, so). So, it's really, really nice to see characters like Linhardt live up to the sexuality they were given and not just be Playerhomo. We are making good progress! 👍🏼
this game has a fair bit of non-straight hijinks. just look at Yuri's supports. or Monica's existance

Hmm, either Shez is asexual or they just didn't want them to feel bad for ruining Byleth's ships, given they're already taking Byleth's position as protagonist here.
I think Shez reaction was simply their surprise, not asexuality. Haven't played the game yet, but if it had S-Supports it would likely take things further.
@@Sakisasvictorianmask precisely because there are no s-supports i've been thinking they are. Though to be fair, A was enough for romance between non-byleth ships, but always kept in ambiguous teasing so they wouldn't lock you out if you wanted them for yourself lol
@@buntado6 No, I'm quite certain the S-Supports are missing because the story is kinda supposed to play inbetween the time skip, so romance wouldn't make much sense at that point.
