The Indy car race through Baltimore a couple of years ago was cool. I can only imagine Stock cars there would be better. Those Indy cars are fragile, Stock cars are made for banging in the corners.

Whenever they include the MRN calls in these, it becomes immediately apparent how much of a higher level they're on than the TV announcers

Mike Bagley was not part of the MRN broadcast this week, but I agree. I've been listening to the radio broadcast over TV for a couple years now. I'm not going to try to convince anyone of anything, but I recommend that if you haven't to try listening to the radio one race.
@j.paulm.1575 thanks for the clarification, didn't get a chance to watch much this year to include this race so wasn't aware. Hopefully they keep including Mike and the whole MRN team. Makes the TV broadcast more entertaining, I'm sure
Not a full-time fan, but I love this race. Great addition to the series.
I’m usually not a street course guy but it’s been a fun race to watch keep it on the lineup @NASCAR

Waiting till 1630 CST wasn’t the greatest idea coupled with the Rain.
I was there general admission. The rain was cool to me. Nothing like rain in the Windy City with cars flying by. Can’t wait for next year going to start saving up for the vip pass.

I love this race. It’s something new, and announcing it like a radio broadcast brings me joy
🌆 Those shots along the cityscape are gorgeous.
So many people have called for SVG to get more experience on ovals in Xfinity before transitioning to Cup.. Yet he's still able to pass guys and consistently finish in the top 15 on ovals without crashing and taking people out.. Unlike these so called best drivers in the world who can't keep their car underneath them when the roads wet. Now ya'll gonna cry.. 'they have no experience in the wet" Well now you know what SVG is up against and the stella job he's doing with no experience on ovals, but he's doing a much better job than these top tier cup guys by not crashing, not taking others out and finishing races.

These drivers are only the best in the world on ovals, I mean no offence but the majority are so far off the pace on road courses
Right, road is not a high priority nore should it be. This race is definitely fun and entertaining but we don't need more road courses, id rather not change another thing in NASCAR.........
Most all Nascar fans love SVG and his skill on road courses. He's finishing top 20 on ovals in the Xfinity series, where the talent is much lesser than Cup. He's getting a lot better at ovals and I agree he should be in a cup car next year full time. No need to defend SVG in UA-cam comments, he is well loved

haha I ...see... what you mean. But they are usually looking at the fractions of a second between the cars on numbers chart. If you can see it visually it just means the gap is closing rapidly.

It looks like he was thinking he could either take out the car in front like Briscoe, and himself, or he could just take himself out. And he made the decision to take himself out. I don't think he was expecting to clip the other car, sent him almost straight into the concrete barriers, but I respect the decision behind it.
That's what happens when the wheels lock up, not like he meant to do that or was thinking anything about sprint car racing.
@@2639theboss Yeah he cut right to avoid the 54 and just about slipped around the end of the tires and into solid concrete.
@@tylerrogers3263 Plus these low profile tires behave much differently than the ones still used in Xfinity. Once a low profile tire starts to skid, you are just along for the ride because it's not gripping any time soon.

It's probably best that SVG got taken out when he did because the NASCAR regs would not have seen which way he went on a wet track once he hit the front
He got the lead but wasn't going anywhere. Gibbs and C-Bell were right there.

Eh, I don’t blame briscoe. It’s rainy conditions, he locks it up, and he happens to run into SVG. Not necessarily a bad mistake, although it’s still a mistake. It’s just an unfortunate incident for SVG

That should hopefully be possible with IndyCar moving to Fox next year. They've also gotten really unlucky with the weather both years.

What NASCAR should do is probably move the race date up maybe to May or June. Might help with weather situation. Just my opinion.
