Along with parota, they serve apart from, coconut chatni, kurma and some other stuff, which you might have noticed, kept on the table. I mean the " three vessel carrier. You sould try them also.

While in south, have drumstick veg. it is very healthy. In UK it is called Moringa fruit. Those are the long stalks which are added to sambar. So Moringa is part of everyday diet, no need for expensive supplements

For patatha, they don't give lentils, they give kurma ie. Made with coconut and other masala ingredients. They never serve with sambar or lentils.

haha yes, I would agree, love that bread from the south. It's parotta, the north has something called paratha... which is completely different type of bread. Since the north always wants to put the fingers in everything, people eventually settled for the same word... but its supposed to be called parotta. Also try the Jigarthanda drink, its from Tamil Nadu

I was just saying that you should take care, because sometimes thieves on bikes snatch the mobile or GoPro from your hand and speed off. Gogo should have been walking between the traffic and Kay. We are also getting indications from Team Namo (Modi advisers) that in the next Modi term, there will be a lot of focus now on civic services and mainly urban development / redevelopment and cleaning up of the civic agencies and the trash problem in main commercial and public centers even the tourist centers and near railway stations etc. From civic services, education and awareness, as well as a system of rewards and punishments are needed . Surprisingly very few of these same indians will not litter in the metro stations, but just outside of them it is often just trash everywhere.

However we will never understand why people don't want to be proud of a clean city its the beautiful land India so precious it should be kept clean by citizens.

Maybe people still do not take ownership of the the land and nation after being under foreign rule for a thousand years ❗ (mainland india is so different from North East India) . Also , the civic agencies in most indian cities have been most corrupt and in cahoots with the equally corrupt politicians. The metro stations are much cleaner (metro itself is responsible for the cleaning and enforcing no-littering ), but just outside there is trash everywhere !

In TAMILNADU people don’t understand Hindi language. You can use VANAKKAM instead of Namaste. Also you should use NANDRI instead of Dhanyavad. People will be happy. Keep posting interesting videos continuously and enjoy. All the best.

Do better research on food places to visit and talk to the locals esp when they approach and talk. Not everyone is out there to scam you and its very easy to avoid if you can simply say no when they try to sell you something.

I have never seen any tourist wanna explore Chennai so much. I personally found it very filthy and unfriendly. Though one has to travel via Chennai if one wishes to go to Pondicherry, Mahabalipuram even Dhanushkodi

Kay, you are spot on about people throwing trash wherever they want. Yes, it is educating people, and show by example like you did! It must be started from young age and taught in schools. When I was in school, every class room had a waste basket, and the students were responsible for emptying it at the end of classes.
It should be taught early t on BY PARENTS. But 99.995% parents do not tell their kids to NEVER LITTER, AND TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS. Having dustbins is not the point, But NEVER TO LITTER and carry your trash back home if you have to... that is what parents should teach their children.

'PONGAL' is the name of the dish that the other guy was eating. It is close to a porridge and is made of lentil named 'MUNG BEAN and RICE'. It is generally eaten when one is unwell or wants to have something light on the stomach easy to digest. 'YES: It was sugar cane. The Green Mousy looking Vegetable is called 'B'ITTER GOURD' and the brown round tuber looking stuff was 'YAM' - it is a tuber that comes from beneath ground like potato etc.

In India every state has a different language down south........so in Chennai we say "Nandri" not "Dhanyavadh"...........Dhanyavadh is Thank you in Hindi language while in Chennai people speak a language called Tamil (its the oldest language of the world).........here in Chennai if u say Dhanyavadh very few know the meaning as its another language...............so here we say "Nandri" for Thank you.........would love to hear you speak in Tamil, so pls say Nandri next time here in Chennai...

Don't eat Parota since it is made of Maida. Instead eat either Idle or Dosai. Middle Class Good Hotel Chains: Saravana Bhavan Hetel, Sangeeta Hetels, Adayar Anand Bhavan or A2B. Oldest temples in chennai are 1. Shri Kapaaleswa Temple, Mylapore, 2 Shri. Parthasarathi temple, Triplicane, 3. Sri Vadivudai Amman Temple, Thiruvettriyur.
