My only comment, ditch the acoustic kit and get an e-kit .... my suggestion would be the Roland TD-27, especially since the prior version is on sale for about $1000 off. Roland stuff is road worthy, and once you setup your rack, its a simple case of fold and go, All of your e-drum pads and cymbals will fit into a single bag After that is a small hardware bag for your other stands and sticks and your good to go You could also kick for a road case that everything fits in, and make it all move in a single trip. Less space consumed in your gigging trailer No more hauling around that massive drum shield Setup is extremely simple once you mark your rack, stands and drum kit pad. Opt for the larger rack (MDS Grand) its more robust than the MDS standard or the MDS Compact. Mount the KD-10 onto a board so it won't rock about is the only improvement necessary, you can do that with 1/4 - 1/2 in ply (depending on how hard you romp on the bass pedal) , carriage bolts, washers and wing screws. The other benefit is you have various kits to add to the flavor of the music. If your using superior drummer .... you can set up your whole music set, start to stop on your laptop.
