Baal is a pretty non-violent demon especially when compared to the other demons. She mostly just swallows her enemies and when that doesn’t work she has acid rain and if that doesn’t work she can just sing them dead. She’s such a pretty princess

Queen Butterfly is goals for fighting lazy; Sin Gomorrah was basically Demon Godzilla; Baal Zebul was the hidden badass all along; and the Phantom was, in short, your standard Spider Kurama with fire powers 😂😂😂😂

I know it's a twenty-year-old callback, but I do hope a lot of other people got the same hard flashback to Phantom from Devil May Cry. They used the same motions, the same body shape, even the camera angles and lines and player character responses are almost exactly the same. It's a hell of an homage.

The phantom is totally a DMC reference to the lava spider in the first game
LITERALLY replayed, almost line for line and move for move. Dante even knocks on the spider's head a couple times. Even the BGM is strikingly similar.

I honestly thought for a few seconds that she just got malphas, but then I had the thought of maybe this is a different Bayonetta, cus she had malphas in 1 and 2, but not in 3
This has to be a different one, and my theory (which I'm sure is 99% correct) is that this braided Bayo is actually Cereza from the 1st game. She and Bayo 1 are from different timelines after B1's ending, and that would explain pretty much everything. From the "rescuing the fair lady" (demonstrating this is not the same Bayo who rescued Jeanne in 2) to all these demons she doesn't have before, like Malphas, Baal, Phantasmaraneae and Mictlantecuhtli (the other 3 demons were in Bayo 2 as well)

From my understanding the homunculi were part human, but had nothing of inferno or paradiso in them.
There's also the fact that they're not actually alive.

considering the people who formed Platinum Games were the ones who made the first Devil May Cry, no you did not imagine it. In fact Bayonetta tapping its face with the back of her fist is exactly the same thing Dante did in DMC1 and The Phantom is the name of the Magma Spider from DMC1 so that is an even bigger reference.

CIAOFI BALZARG translates to "Terror Steward" and with Madama Butterfly being Bayo's main demon, it suited her.
