Ha, great to see this again. I worked on the very end shot and did the 3D light scan lines shooting out from the Earth (and logo) with a company called Filmfex. someone else did the model work, and Filmfex put it all together as an optical. Light scan (Slit scan) was a complicated 3D process developed by Douglas Trumball. These days you can get a similar effect at the push of a (computer button) lol.
That can't have been from 1983 (unless they changed the titles at the end later). The titles shown are part of the famous Landor livery that BA proudly wore from 1985-1996 when they came out with the ghastly "World Tails". I guess some like the WT but I didn't - I thought the Landor scheme was the best. Elegant, regal and British, which is what BA should be all about!
love the ending of the commercials, with the supersonic concorde sound !
This advert was ground-breaking at the time. Indeed, it is one of the most iconic adverts of all time.

I have publicity stills from this campaign!
Great work, Calvertfilm!
My dad is the guy walking the dog at the beginning. I dined out on that fact for years.....

Roger Manhattan!!! (Great B.A advert!)
This advert can't be from 1983 - their planes still had the Negus and Negus livery at this point. The Landor livery didn't come out until late 1984.
i like the ending when they get too serious
I espically like the ATC and the callsign "Manhattan"
wow
the ending is soo dramatic
