That Famicom is awesome! I actually had that exact model when I was I child, was living in Venezuela and I don't know how my mom ended getting my brother and I that model, we had to find and adapter for the American cartridges so we could play other games, but it was fantastic! Enjoy mate!

Those Sony earbuds are the only earbuds allowed on the Japanese Metro System. Busses, Trains and Subways all banned the use of any earbuds headphones and speakers. For safety reasons obviously. It is technically against the rules to use your phone on the metro as well but that is rarely enforced. These earbuds allow you to have music but you are able to hear emergency announcements and such.

It looks like a super flat CRT, based off how it flickers, but it’s far, far too flat to be one. *EDIT:* I didn’t know this at the time but the screen probably flickers because of the style of screen and having a low refresh rate that doesn’t synchronise with the camera.

Dear Austin I recommend you to try out Panasonic RP-HT010 Headphones and review them. They are unbelievably cheap but offer amazing sound. Also it has the deepest base I have heard over all other headphones.

That 'goopy pad' on the bottom of the fan is a quite common product in Japan. They put it under all sorts of small objects to keep them from sliding around or falling over in an earthquake

The Famicom also didn't have a lockout chip which meant that there were more available pins...a thing which allowed for more channels for custom sound chips on cartridges for games such as later Konami ones and Gimmick! (which might well have the best soundtrack on the entirety of the console...a bold assertion I know).
