    Awesome information/ have worked on cars for 50 years and just now back into the RC world that I been involved with 20 years ago with my boys. The proper tools make all the difference and now I know what items to pick up to toss in one of my drill bags for a traveling tool kit. Love your videos!

    A some additional things that I bring out… spare wheel nuts/hexes, a small assortment of nuts and bolts (a Jenny’s rc fastener pack for your most common truck will take care of most needs), flashlight for seeing in dark spots, body clips, paper towels or rag to wipe off mud when needed, esc program card, lipo tester, 7mm driver for pillow balls adjustment, single battery loop thingy, common spares like control arms or shock ends to keep you or a buddy going, gorilla tape, shock pliers, leaf blower for quick cleaning. I also have a table or work surface if I’m going to be away from the truck and a cart to get everything out there. I keep a separate set of most of the tools in a bag just for this and a bin for additional items so they are always ready to go. Nothing worse than leaving what you need at home. Yeah I bring a lot but usually have what I or a buddy needs for a quick fix.

    As per your norm … excellent content AJ ….. I’ve been following you for quite a while now and as someone who’s been outta the hobby for more years than I would admit to Lolol your presentation is always spot on ….. the only thing that surprisingly you omitted in your field kit is the need to always have a heat gun to monitor your temps while you’re running your RCs ……again….. excellent content and thank you for sharing…….

      Right. There are a lot of things I would like to bring with me. For new people, who usually run stock, we arranged the tools for must haves. Your addition is also spot on. Thank you 😎👍

    Snippers - AKA - Dykes.
    I also recommend having needle nose vice grips, a hammer, and a set of mini screw drivers. And if you're able to... upgrade to a rechargeable Transmitter. Less headache!

    A brush to remove dirt, a flash light when dark, a Lipo tester. A backup car or two 👍😀

    Cool video as usual 🙂 Glad you brought up a tool bag! Those "Husky" bags from Home Depot (the small ones) were selling for about 7 bucks! Great option and cheap also!

    Those smaller handled hex drivers can be hell on your hands because they are too small, especially on bead lock rims. I know, I couldn't use my fingers for a few days taking my wheels apart. I agree, having tools are important. I think it best just to invest in a second set of bench tools and buy a Plano tackle box to keep those tools in it. You know exactly what tools you need doing bench repairs. Small and compact may save space, but not your hands.

    In my personal opinion, when it comes to the hex drivers (with or without the handle ) don't cheap out. The cheaper ones can be made out of softer metals and round off. Get a set made by MIP, yea they're more expensive but well worth it.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 роки тому

      Well said. If one can afford the good stuff that I’d definitely spend extra on the hex drivers. Thanks for pointing that out 😎👍

      @@AJJAMStudios I bought a cheap set before I even got my truck (Losi TT Pro) and when I was checking to make sure everything was tight, the 2.5mm one totally rounded off torquing a loose screw. I thought I was just being a Gorilla on it, but the 2.0MM and 3.0mm ones did the same thing. My MIP set showed up a couple of days later. I have some other good ones that are a little shorter that go in my electric screwdriver. A lot has changed in the nearly 30 years away from this stuff, but decent tools are still a must. I nabbed a DeWalt toolbag from some site I was on looking at something and at $5.00 for a medium sized one, I snatched it up. The seller had dozens of them. I wish I knew who I got it from!

      The tools are generic to keep the cost down. Find tools in the categories we suggest and you're in business. 😎👍
