What a lovely gift and what a lovely friend! You are blessed! 💕
I am indeed blessed!
What a wonderful sweet gift from your friend Juliet! I agree, those painted cover books are just gorgeous. It was so fun to see you on Dave and Garett’s livestream again, even if I only saw the last part about the fake turtleneck discussion 😂. You’re such a trooper for being on for 4 hours! 😊. Hope you have a wonderful week, Pat 💖
Hi Farrah! Lovely to hear from you. We had such an intense conversation on that show, and then, right around the time you arrived, we went off the rails! Hope you’re doing well. 🥰
I'm catching up on watching videos! Such a sweet and thoughtful gift 🫶🏽. Happy reading!
Thanks, Mariandrea. Yes, such a thoughtful gift from a lovely friend.
That’s great! Do you want me to do any more videos, Top Ten Luxury Wines, Top Ten Holiday Destinations etc? Just let me know 😉
@@GenreBooks23 all of the above, Gavin! Yes, please! 😊
Oh, wow, that Jane Eyre book is absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful gift!
Hi Jen! Yes, a beautiful gift from a lovely friend!
You are amazing, my friend! Those are some incredible reading plans!
Thanks, Reney! They’ve already changed since I made these last videos! I’m not judging the Book Tube Prize, and I’m already adjusting some of these events…Hope you’re doing well.
Oh my gosh, that Jane Eyre is gorgeous. What a lovely gift and what a thoughtful friend! Looking forward to seeing all the things you read in February.
Thanks, Nicky. Juliet is a dear, dear friend, and this gift was just an incredibly lovely surprise.
Aww!! So sweet, Pat 🎨📚 I’m so behind in watching your videos. Your reading on-takings is phenomenal, as always. I enjoyed the Simak Live, today. Keep pushing Onward!
So lovely to see you, Diane, here and in the livestream. I hope you are doing well.
That's a beautiful gift. It is great to have wonderful friends who give such gifts
Hi Stuart. It really is a beautiful book from a lovely, dear friend.
What a beautiful gesture with that gift! ❤
Yes! A lovely gift from a dear and beautiful friend! ❤️
So exciting about the book judging. Can’t wait to hear.
I wasn’t selected! I’m not judging the first round.
Great stuff Pat! And I really need to reread The Goblin Reservation! Thanks for reminding me about that excellent book.
We had the livestream on Goblin Reservation yesterday. If Shawn has posted it, I’ll link it on my community page. It was a really fun read!
I love that Jane Eyre! What a lovely gift. I read The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat many years ago and found it very interesting.
The Jane Eyre edition is a beautiful book from such a lovely friend. Hope you're doing ok, Angelia.
@BookChatWithPat8668 I'm well, thank you. Getting back into some healthy routines.
@readandre-read I’m glad to hear that.
What a beautiful gift, Pat! I attempted Remarkably Bright Creatures on audio and wasn’t enjoying it. Would love to read it myself to see if I can get into it! Looking forward to your February reviews ❤
Aww I'm sorry Remarkably Bright Creatures didn't work for you. I thought it was going to be totally hokey with the octopus being a narrator, but I ended up really enjoying it, and I loved the octopus character, Marcellus. Maybe you'd like it better in print?
What a beautiful copy of Jane Eyre. Your friend sounds very dear. ❤
@@ariannefowler455 she is a treasure! 🥰
That’s a lovely Jane Eryer edition you got.
Thanks, Jess. It is a really beautiful book from a most lovely friend.
I hope you make the cut for this round of the Booktube prize! I'm judging non-fiction again, but I'm sitting out the first round (I realized that Spring break means I have a week less to read everything in the octofinal round).
Last year I did non-fiction in the first round and fiction in the second. I did not make it into the first round.
❤📚📚❤️
A lovely gift from a special friend. Love it!
@@starlasell5698 Juliet is a beautiful person and a dear friend! 🥰
Aww, we love Juliet now too. What a sweet story to go along with your wonderful new edition of Jane Eyre. 😊
@@patriciah8579 oh Patricia, you would absolutely love Juliet. 🥰
What a beautiful friend, your Juliet! Such a thoughtful and beautiful gift.
@@vickicoleman2474 oh Vicki, Juliet is indeed a beautiful friend in every way. 🥰
What a lovely gift from a lovely friend, and certainly a highlight to a great reading week.
@@AlansReads hi Alan. It was indeed the highlight of my week. Juliet is a very special friend. 🥰
@@AlansReads hi Alan. It was indeed the highlight of my week. Juliet is a very special friend. 🥰
I’d never heard of painted cover books so I googled them and wow!!! So beautiful. What a wonderful friend to send the book to you!
@@58calangel yes, the books are beautiful. Juliet is the dearest of friends. I’m very fortunate to have her in my life. 🥰
I second James in the comments:) Wonderful gift, Pat.
Such a beautiful book from a lovely friend.
I enjoyed Oliver Sacks "An Anthroplogist on Mars" looking at patients' case histories with various psychological conditions, "The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat" is on my very lengthy 'want to read'' list.
Yes! Anthropologist on Mars is terrific too!
What a wonderful gift Pat, how lovely of your friend!
@@Ali-AvidReader Juliet is a treasure! 🥰
That edition of Jane Eyre is stunning. What a lovely gift. 💝 You had a busy reading week . :)
@@TheLibraryMouseGina thanks, Gina! Yes, Jane Eyre is a gorgeous gift from a lovely friend.
What a lovely wrap up Pat. The book from your friend is so beautiful and so thoughtful. A good reading week ahead of a very busy February. Great video 😊
@@RaynorReadsStuff thanks, Debs! Juliet is a beautiful, dear friend, and she’s one of the most thoughtful people I know.
Lovely gift. Thanks Juliet.
Juliet is a treasure! 🥰
See, it did manifest! 😄✨ Gorgeous book, I’m not one for sprayed edges but GOLD?! Yes! That’s beautiful, and the artwork as well, of course. You’ve had such a productive week! Will you be judging the booktube prize round 1? I saw the announcement of the books.
Hi Ellen. So I watched the whole announcement video of the 96 books in Round One. When it’s over, you go to your email to see if you are a judge. I didn’t get an email or a ballot, so I’m not a judge.
@@BookChatWithPat8668 Perhaps just as well? With all of your other plans 😊 And hopefully the better books left next round!
I think you're right. You RSVP for each round to say if you want to be a judge or not. We'll see how I feel in two months. I may or may not volunteer for the next one. We'll see....I've got plenty to do already, for sure.
Great update Pat, love the painted cover!
@@Adventures_in_Literature thank you! It’s a beautiful book from a lovely friend! 🥰
I loved Remarkably bright creatures! That Jane Eyre looks beautiful.
Such a beautiful book from the loveliest of friends!
I love Oliver Sacks, a wonderful man, I highly recommend the PBS documentary on his life as well as his books. SPQR is a fun history too, Sacks and Beard are both high-level academics who write well for the general public, good combination! I'm sad I missed the live, will have to watch that on catchup.
@@AaronReadABook hi Aaron! Yes, both Beard and Sacks are very accessible. The livestream was both intense and then silly and fun. It’s very long, though. The Ai discussion is worth listening to, for sure, and the really funny silliness comes closer to the end. No pressure though. I hope you’re doing well, Aaron. 😊
I worry about all the commitments you make but it’s none of my business so never mind. I would like to recommend a book I think you would love to teach tho I hesitate adding more books to your already crowded tbr. I mention the book anyway in case you might want to save it for later. Its title is Perfect by Rachel Joyce who wrote the Harold Fry book. The book is about how two seconds can change a life forever and also about how listening to other people can lead to all sorts of problems.
@@CionMohler thanks for the recommendation. Don’t worry about my reading commitments. If I’m a judge for the book tube prize, all of this will be adjusted, and most of these events extend over several months. This is a discussion of my possibilities for the coming days….I started the Pineiro Project, so that’s one commitment I will not adjust. The others are more flexible. But thanks for being concerned. 😊
Oh let us know if you're chosen for the first round. I'll echo the other comments, what a special friend and present. I like to think we all have that person who goes above and beyond.
@@helenclare3250 I’ll definitely let you know as my reading plans will be adjusted if I’m a judge. Yes, Juliet is a very special friend. 🥰
