However, Maxwell must be manually recovered by the player after usage in this fashion. - Attempting to use Maxwell to banish Dupe will result in the same effect, however he never leaves the player's inventory. - Maxwell will always emit Guiding Light particles while not held by a player. - Maxwell will purr softly when held for at least 5 seconds. He stops purring if an entity has spawned. - Maxwell grants a player immunity to Timothy so long as they are holding him. I think the cat should also give you a little ability at the start of the game that disappears when the user uses it. It will stop monsters in their tracks, functioning like the New Cross item.
i think it should get seek AND figure, instead of the crucifix just stopping them in their tracks for a few seconds. it will not function wih any other entities (as in it would stop rush, ambush etc. in their tracks instead of casting them down to hell)

A friend of mine had a concept where there is a group of cats that live in the hotel, if you bring the leader of the group an offering (tuna) they will give you some cats that will help you in looting and some other stuff. (took me 4 hours to edit in something I forgor) This actually looks like you made some of the parts of the concept true

Maxwell uses his cuteness and the monsters leave the player alone for 5 floors (I would have said 10 but I feel that's too many) Oh and he can do what he does to figure at the end of the video as well.
If you die in the game, Maxwell will save you from death and give you another chance, but at cost of Maxwell completely disappear from your inventory. It's a reference of cats having 9 lives, instead you only have one.
