Wonderful voice! Reminds me of Dio or Ozzie Osbourne or Jeff Lynne ... your own unique voice though but so good here man :) I vocalize way more often thanks to you. I noticed also for me humming is the best practice to get my breath control right and if I have my breath control right almost everything else falls into place perfectly - just need a little audiation practice and good to go :) I begin by humming high to low over the bridge then hum some Rossini scales as I play the keys. Then run through some vowels, intervals of all sizes, and maybe a scale starting or ending on notes I am focusing on making stronger. Then some inhales inbetween short notes near the places where my voice is weakest like that 4Eb which makes me sound like a monkey or down to 2G or up at 5E. Then I am ready to sing everything from Gnarls Barkley to Leonard Cohen in about 45 minutes or less :) I share your goodmorning voice video with others - it is wonderful :) . Probably the best warmup video on the whole of the internet. Honestly I am amazed at the information in videos like from that New York vocal coach and others... I read books too - I read a lot of textbook style books but man they are filled with drivel and I was amazed at how hard it was to find the good stuff browsing through ...
Is the stuff from the new york vocal coach bad in your opinion? seems like we arrived here the same way. I'm watching about as many videos as I can, but I'm really a beginner at best even if I was in perfect health, and I'm not, and I dunno what is right and what isn't and you seem like you know what you are talking about, so I'd appreciate any thoughts. I also really like that good morning warmup one, came across it yesterday. If you recommend any others, thanks!
@@murbly I don't comment on piers so I'll just say that I recommend you watch all the videos on my channel. I created each and every one for a reason - they all matter.
When I bought your book fifteen years ago I wondered what kind of bands you played in. Cool to see technology has caught up lol
And it only took 30 years!
so good to see you rockin' it up, sensei!
So much fun!
Can you still hit those notes today brother?
I sang an F5 at the end of my "imaginary" duet with Adele's new song. Not bad for 65! ua-cam.com/video/NhG-IDOcm2c/v-deo.html

Thank you!

Your routine is solid Agni! I've got a new book coming out (next year) - hopefully that will help fill in any gaps!
