The original carb has the electronic throttle position sensor that goes to the CDI,The CDI adjusts the timing curve to compensate the fuel adjustment,it makes them easier on gas from the factory,you can can leave it unplugged from the new carb or change the CDI and eliminate it .
That carb sounds like a good deal,do you have the 3x3 air box mod on your Drz? Mine just has the factory air box with the factory head pipe and a Pro Circuit TS4 pipe.

Yes I just disconnected the TPS. That other sensor was not plugged into the CDI it was plugged into the fan control harness.
