This is a Hofner 175, not a 176 Selmer-distributed galaxie. 175s were made for about 18 months from 63-64. The 176s that replaced them in the range had individual switches for each pickup, a different bridge and a varitone knob. Selme UKr-distributed Hofner Galaxies were 176s without the Varitone. I just got a 175 yesterday and am really impressed by everything about it. Pickups are so clear sounding and although you can't adjust height on them, there is no actual need to do so. Nice demo though. Really reflects how mine sounds.
