Suzu is a 17-year-old high school student living in a rural town with her father. I am a big soundtrack listener. The soundtrack for Belle was honestly mindblowing how good it is. The sound is mixed in a way I've never heard before, and the vocals are outstanding. Its been almost a year of listening to it and its still my favorite album by a long shot
(edit:) i dont listen to the album everyday for a year. i actually restrict how much i listen to it because i dont want to overplay it and ruin it for me. this is the first time ive ever had my favou songs be far from my top played songs
This album was number 1 in my Apple replay 😂. I listened to it too much but somehow I always come back and love it just the same. Kinda rare for me
The raw emotion in the line “I can finally sing again?!” Along with the singing broke every bone in my body. Like srsly the realization and shock that you feel when you hear her say that, you know exactly what she is feeling
Just got back from watching it in theaters and OH MY GOD IT WAS SO GOOD. Completely exceeded my expectations in every single way
I know it's directed by the same person, but the animation/characters really look like "wolf children" and i love it ❤️

0:12 This line really resonated with me. I lost my mom at 13 and reacted similarly to Suzu. A couple classmates would tell me ever day how they were sorry for my loss and then start laughing. I stood up to them and told them to stop. They replied in a snarky way "what don't you miss your mom?" Loss is huge and everyone reacts to it differently so we shouldn't minimize anyone's greving process. I really enjoyed this movie

I absolutely ADORE the two storylines going on, the out of game troubles with dealing with past trauma and also with her crush, in-game popularity, and the in game popularity and the beast and how and if she can help him

I watched it in french and didn’t understand 80% of the dialogues but i still thought it was a masterpiece, the visuals and music just takes you in the movie, it really feels like you are in U

I’ve been singing my entire life (apparently I would hum myself to sleep as a baby😅) the “I can finally sing again?” Actually makes me tear up. The idea of my singing being taken from me is one of my worst fears. Singing is part of my identity. So I can’t wait to see this movie!

Just saw it in theaters, it was NOT what I expected it to be... it was much deeper... I loved it. The 3rd act was very somber and the beast reveal was pretty raw and emotional.
I fell asleep in the middle of the movie and woke up at the end

Ok I’m not going to lie, the second she started singing in the very beginning of the trailer I teared up…. AND IM NOT EVEN HALF WAY THROUGH THE TRAILER!! When I heard her voice it was just so beautiful and I wasn’t expecting it to be that great! Bravo Kylie McNeill
Such a beautiful movie. Got the chance to see this in its original language in theaters, and was just blown away by the insane level of creativity on display. I don't even know how someone comes up with something this original. Truly incredible.
Looks to me like the English dub is actually pretty solid. Will have to check it out.
Just saw this with a friend. This truly is a spectacle. I came out of this blown away, with my emotions pulled all around. That ending song..... that hit all the feels. Im glad I got to see this film in theaters, it was truly worth it. Now I cannot wait till this is out on DVD and blue ray.
Awesome movie. Way better than expected. And, this is a must-see in theaters, won't be the same on a small screen.

I've heard this a bunch, and really want to watch this in theaters but won't be able to until next week. If it's not playing at that time I'll have to make due with trying to cast it to my tv instead once it comes out digitally.
Nah, it all comes down to personal preference. As long as the movie is great, I immerse myself as if I WAS in an actual theater so it's all good.

my favorite part is at the end when everyone tells her to sing including her "crush???" and then the one scene "let the melody....." where she raises her hand reaching up above her, really shows her determination, as well as pushes the emotion of her songs to a new and deeper level.
Whoever did this animation, deserves an oscar because it's beautiful.

Honestly this movie is so amazing and such a heart warming movie, it really shows a lot of meaning within it! I highly recommend I did end up crying at the end bevause it's so sweet 😭

Just saw this movie and it was… really good. Story is a bit of a tear jerker but in a different way than what I was prepared for. It also poses interesting questions regarding the interesting dichotomy of who you are IRL vs your online persona, what is your identity?
When you truly know yourself, your personality will unleash and you will be true to yourself whether on the internet or in person.
Most people don't really know themselves.
If they did, the world wouldn't be in the state that its in now.

It's like a modern day Japanese version of Beauty and the Beast when you really think about it. A beautiful and talented girl bonds with a beast of sorts, falls in love, and helps the beast in a way only she can. I know I'm not the first to admit it, but Belle herself is gorgeous in U. Sometimes I feel like the Dragon... Shunned, mocked, and even hated by some. I'd rather not go into detail, but I can say there was someone in my life who was basically Belle. She even saved my life a long time ago. I owe her so much for that.
Like? It's literally in the title... Belle is the name of Beauty from Beauty and the Beast...

This trailer is just so beautiful. The animation is amazing, and the music is just so beautiful! The voice actors did a terrific job, and so did the animators! This whole team is amazing, and I’m so excited for the day I finally get to watch this beautiful movie. :)
I rarely ever watch anime, and I've never seen an anime movie, but I 100% wanna see this in the theaters!
just switch from disney cartoons and cartoon movies to anime. Because the most of them are deeper, more realistic, better for your brain.

I just watched the movie. And even though there was clear inspiration from Beauty & the Beast, the movie was so unique and the music was truly phenomenal and moving. I hope they find a way to make a sequel.

In the very beginning when it showed suzu from the behind I straight up though it was the lofi girl overall great movie can't wait to watch it!

I had this movie already pre-ordered, but when I saw it was streaming, I purchased it again, I love this movie that much! Such powerful music, and beautiful animation! I'm telling all my friends about this movie.
I just rewatched this movie for the first time after seeing it at the cinemas a few months ago and it still amazes me as it did when I first watched it. The music and art style really adds to the fairytale feeling of the movie, and I'm always impressed by the visuals!
The animation, the plot. This movie is absolute perfection. I was watching no way home when this ad popped up. I had to watch it. And I enjoyed it along :)

This trailer made me cry, gosh its beautifull. This movie is going on my gotta watch list, because it gave me chills just by looking at the trailer
SPOILERS: This was the most brutal takedown of the Big Bad I've seen in quite a while. A lesser movie would have gone for violence, or a team up beating. But no, Suzu just comes into her own and stands up to him, making him fundamentally realize and understand just what kind of person he is. And it breaks him. No punch or kick could ever defeat him totally like that.
Interesting adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. I'll see it.

I just got this as an ad. Holy crap i need to watch this movie! It looks like a modern-day Internet-based adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and the animation and voice acting are brilliant! Plus I loved Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

I just came home from watching this movie and it really is so good! The music, the visuals/art, and the story line combined makes it into such a beautiful film. I been seeing a lot of criticism on it about the plot and story line being terrible and i completely disagree i think people coming up with that argument just don’t know how to connect the dots when it comes to movies like this. Not everything needs to be explained in fine detail, and not every single character needs to have a backstory. Which is why i felt the biggest urge to leave this comment in support of this movie and to put it out there that even if it doesn’t end up being your favorite movie it is worth a watch. Now excuse me while i spend the rest of the day listening to the ost 😭♥️

This movie was a huge let down they left way too much unnecessary stuff in the movie which made it drag on forever. And less time in the meaningful, plot moving scenes. It would’ve been great if they cut out all the awkward pauses and unnecessary stuff and focused more on the dramatic plot and climax

I was just boredly scrolling in UA-cam, then i suddenly remember Belle, and when i saw that this video is almost 12 months old, i was shocked at how time flies, i fr thought its been just 4 months.

Saw it in the cinema. Every single second of it is totally insane. Nothing makes the slightest sense, not for an instant. The characterisation is thin, the motivations basically opaque. The plotting is a mad scramble. But I loved watching it; I sat there with a grin the whole time as it got more and more stupid.
Finally someone said it 😂 I thought I was going bonkers.
