Thankyou I am a female busker in my 50's and love it, but it is hard going here in New Zealand, I get glared at a lot mostly by older people. But that does not hold me back as music is such a passion for people it is not about the money

busking licences and auditions takes the art away from busking
Honestly it mostly keeps away sketchy people and keeps the talent level decently high.
@@LicksoftheLegend Maybe but licening laws also omit major talent. Now there will be good buskers but not really good ones
@@auntiemoshbcs5892 No that’s just not true. The major professional level buskers who perform in festivals and what not are all licensed. This law in all reality is just keeping people playing the same song over and over trying to get money together to buy drugs off the pier in this case.
@@LicksoftheLegend To me, as a busker and traveller, it goes against the core values and traditions of busking. It criminalises the travelling musician, the vagabond, the hobo. It sets boundaries and limitations on art and the freedom of expression.
