About Animal Kingdom:

They need to do a prequel spin off of how Smurf raised the kids by herself, the jobs she pulled, and how the kids developed into their characters! Now that’s a 4-6 season series right there!
Last season I would've really disagreed with you but this season I'm loving the flashback scenes, that actress Is a damn smokeshow and has serious acting chops I'd love a spin off. Shows that smurf wasn't always evil, she was visibly shocked killing that cunt.
Problem is there was no Smurf back then. Oh we were all huge fans of cartoons. It's the only thing we watched. Couldn't care less about TV otherwise.
My mother raised me by herself. She used to shoot better than me. Maybe we should make a spinoff about her.
Season 6 has Smurf with teenage Baz,Julia, and Pope in it.

I think this scene is not meant to show the difference between Pope and J, but more the resemblance between Smurf and J. Pope and J are both survivors, but Pope manages to retain his humanity because of the family Smurf surrounds him with growing up. J only ever has his mom as family to surround him. He's practically an adult by the time he develops a relationship with the rest of his family and is alienated because of it. Meanwhile Pope has a reason beyond himself to develop a defensive personality. J only ever gets the chance to develop a defensive personality for his self preservation. Animal kingdom is truly a fitting name for this series.
I can't tell you how much I love this show. Giving us Smurf as her younger self is so superb it's mind blowing. I love that she is so fearless not to mention gorgeous! The show has a perfect way of heightening our expectations and delivering with such savory results. How can anybody resist watching. If you ain't watching animal kingdom you sure are missing out. #hookedforlife

I wish they could extend until season 8 at least. There’s so much potential for us to see how each of the Cody’s developed into who they are and how Janine raised her two other kids plus baz. What jays upbringing was like and what Julia was like due to her upbringing including how she got outcasted. Also how they continue to find their footings post Smurf and how jay will continue to develop.
They have a lot of holes to fill in.
My theory is the flashbacks are leading up to what happened to jays mom probably something smurf did to her, with the next scene cutting to jay taking everything from the Cody’s maybes their lives.

@@kyleu3217 yeah it true she’s even giving her alcohol when she’s stressed or worried coz Julia cared. Smurf’s couldn’t mould her like the boys so she turned her child into a weak addict and abandoned her grandson too. She didn’t love the boys she used them, they were useful to her empire. Julia was the mother she needed to be and she was just a child. Hence why she trusted j over her own kids

Best show I've seen in a very long time. Just watched end of series 5. Can't wait for series 6 on Netflix . If this is the end I like many watchers will be very disappointed when it ends.

Pope & J finish The Process! J Looking Fire with those Sunglasses! At 0:48 The Van Exploded while Pope & J saw that it exploded with flames. At 2:50 Max Slaps Janine. And Guys don't Hit Ladies. And At 3:27 - 3:29 Young Andrew Stabs Max on the Knee and then he Kicks Young Andrew. And At 3:40 - 4:04 Janine shoots & Shots at Max. Young Andrew come to rescue and free her. Andrew watches a lot of TV when he was a little kid. And Their Actingness are going Great though.
