Hello, I've used my serger for limited "self" projects because I wasn't happy with the finished stitching. The use of water soluble stabilizer is a great idea and your tutorial is just what I needed. Thank you for sharing your talent and delivering instructions clearly, concisely and in a most pleasant voice. Now, off to make burp cloths for new babies. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for your kind comments! So glad this video could help you! :)
So glad I found your site. Thanks for telling us the thread and needle to use!
Glad it was helpful!❤️
Ooo! So nifty!!
Very helpful. The blankets look cute! I'm looking at buying an overlocker (primarily for cotton and jersey fabric) but if I wanted to use it for fleece blankets, do I need to look for an overlocker with a 'foot pressure' dial please? I don't want to buy a machine with a foot pressure dial if I don't need to :) x
Hello. Good morning! I’m new to this channel. I love the thread. Where can I find it? Also, what’s the name of it? I wasn’t sure what she said! And can I’d like to make a minky/cotton woven blanket. Can I use my serger for those 2 fabrics!
Hi Kenya! Yes, you can use these two fabrics on your serger! The name of the thread used in the loopers is Fruitti, which is a 12wt Egyptian cotton thread in variegated colours. The same thread is also available in solid colours under the name Spagetti. In the needle we used a thinner 50wt Egyptian cotton thread called Konfetti in a matching colour.
If you're looking to purchase them, you can shop online or find a local retailer in your area in the US at shopwonderfil.com or in Canada at shopwonderfil.ca If you're in another country, let us know and we can direct you further :)
Why didn't I think of that
She doesn’t really talk about what stitch she set the machine too. I get that she uses the stabilizer but what stitch does she use initially?
You can find out at 0:37 in the video, it's a two thread flatlock stitch. Most sergers can do this stitch!
