Fun news from students! Tomorrow night our own Herman Rosales will be on the hit Fox show Rosewood, and also now on hold for a national AT&T commercial. And Juli Cuccia filmed a fun new commercial for Credit Karma. Way to go! Congrats!

Hi.My name is Mark Shane Van Niekerk. I am a back ground artist .Thanks for the tip on over acting.I had a shock over acting experience as a Back Ground artist recently. The Director said the crowed back ground acting is very morbid and we must be more happy. My self and two ladies were behind the actor at a table as customers purchasing lamps. We three really were so happy laughing doing the same over and over at every retake of the scene. Then the AD came to ask us our agents name. And we started to Panic as our name as artists is very important. To make it worse I went over to the ad during a directors reset to ask did we do something wrong and the AD reaction was not positive. I have learned over the 28 Years as a background artist that if you not sure what to do do what you think and do it again in a retake if the AD or director does not correct you. What I learned it this incident is that Rather tone down you acting as back ground when the lead actor is nearby than toning up.I love this busyness of acting

I live in Egypt, I've always had the desire for performing, but never had the opportunity to take a step in my culture and society people never get that kind of support from their family, so I went to college had a science degree but I never forgot about the desire of being a performer, I really wanna give it a shot, do you think I should stop thinking about it?! ,any advice?!!, i watch your videos and they really make a lot of sense to me ,and I found out that I want to learn more ,I enjoy your lessons. And I'm 24 now is it too late ,to know that I even can't move to us and start training until I'm 27 or 28 for certain circumstances, so, will it be too late?.

Hi, I'm not so new in the industry. I've actually worked in some commercial in my country and I have a couple of question maybe you can help me:
    1. How you'd handle a Director giving you too many instructions, like over instructing you? for example something like: "ok, you need to look a little sad, but also a little afraid, and a little confused, but a little happy"
    2. I'm planning to move to the U.S. to continue with my career - Talking about being realistic about the kind of character we can be casted for, how do I know what would be a kind of character for me? I'm hispanic -part Italian/part British (with a hispanic accent) but i'm 6'2" and my look is not necessary stereotypical of a hispanic/mexican person.
I really like your videos and think you for all the advice!

Thank you for your kinds words and support to our acting channel. Congratulations on your commercial work! Those are very good questions and it is hard to answer you - regarding casting type, when we have not worked with you. It would be great to work with you and get to know you a little more. You mentioned plans of moving to the U.S. but we would like to remind you that Brad Heller has many students around the world, which he teaches over Skype webcam. If you would like to schedule a day and time, Brad can better answer some of your questions. As you may know, we receive many messages like this regarding advice/direction. For us to answer specific questions is something that we must charge for. However, we are hired to give career advice, guidance, and wisdom. We hope that you understand, and encouraged you to set up an appointment with Brad Heller over Skype. It seems that you take your acting career very seriously and we would love to help you in anyway possible. Thanks again for your interest in the channel, and for more information about the school please visit our website. www.thehellerapproach.com

Hi I am just getting off the ground in regards to acting. I am 40 yo and I have been through everything and done just about everything but nothing I have done Makes me passionately excited about those things.....I feel like I been acting all my life cause I had to please my parents, country as a soldier, RN,addict, carpenter.....but I realize that I rather act like those people then be those people....I always had this thing in my stomach that I feel like acting might be the only thing that keeps me from becoming a reprobate. I have this feeling that if I don’t act I’m to die..... for I feel a buzz just thinking about being part of a family of loving friends with love and care for one another

If you're under 18, most auditions and bookings will require a signature of a parent or guardian. If there are extenuating circumstances, just let the people in charge of casting know. Hope that helps! -Brads Staff

If you find that Brad's video's inspiring, and they resinate with you, than I definitely recommend training at The Heller Approach. Brad Heller has taught many students who have come to him with no training, and have grown and gone on to work as paid actors. I think you will be very impressed with your personal growth, as well as the simplicity of this technique. It would be great to set you up with lessons. Thank you for your support to the channel! It sounds like you live in an area away from LA or NY. However, that does not mean that you can't start taking lessons from coaches in those states through online acting lessons. I suggest this because Hollywood is the #1 place people go to become successful actors, so why not learn form the coaches who have lived, breathed, and experienced the industry first hand. Brad Heller offers online acting lessons via Skype webcam. He has trained many students around the world, and has continued coaching them in the industry. If you are interested in acting lessons I highly recommend working with Brad Heller. On our website you will find a handful of testimonies from actors who have trained under Brad Heller, along with more info about the school, lessons, and cost. Hi Samantha, That's wonderful you are interested in acting. The first advice we recommend is training. It's so important that you have a solid foundation in your craft, and a true understanding of what acting is. Even if you don't live in LA or NY, that's okay. You can still be honing in on the craft, and really developing yourself as an artist. Brad Heller teaches many his students over Skype, which has been very effective for them.
