I think couple in the movie drove a station wagon and I think their friends came with them. Except for the windows being broken , just the body of the Caddie is in pretty good shape but the interior and wiring has probable been eaten by mice. Great garage find.
Sigh.... this place is absolutely breathtaking! Maybe if we all put our money together we can buy it!! It’s on the market for 4 or 5 million bucks... chump change!! Lol. Love the woodwork, the old furniture, the stained glass.:.. omg, those old papers!!!!! The Cadillac was just the icing on the cake!!!! Excellent video!! Thank you for bringing us along!!!
J&M Explorations lets buy it!! 🤣 Just gotta get me a few more jobs, lol. Yup.. i love this old house.. sitting there rotting away with a crazy selling price. Thank YOU my fiends. See you sometime soon ☺️☺️☺️
Its a shit spot for that $ literally on an on ramp next to highway 3 sides of it are on main road 1 being the highway other on ramp to highway and main road on the other ... And houses right behind it
Absolutely love this. I saw the movie in 1972 at the drive in theater. Such a shame that this once magnificent house has been left to fall apart and decay.
@@ExplorewithmeMarloC I think it's one of the better psychological horror films out there. I got it on DVD because I like it so much. Great 70's feel to it.
Thank you Marlo another great video!!! I explored this last night and didn't realize it was one of the locations from the movie until I posted my photos and a friend told me! WoW!!! I had visited the movies location in Chester earlier this year which was also very cool but had no idea about this until last night....I see a few things were moved around and placed in staged scenes yesterday after seeing your video. Thank you!!!
Amazing documentary. My wife and I watched "Jessica" on Blu-ray by a secluded pond in Maine last week while on vacation for 2 weeks. We wanted to watch the documentary up there but Smart View wouldn't connect to the cabin's big screen TV. So we just finished watching now and this was sooooo cool, and somehow it adds to the mystique of the film. My wife commented that you have a keen, detailed eye as you approach rooms and objects in the house. Throughly enjoyed, we're new subscribers. Well-done!
Thank you so much & greatly appreciated. This house was amazing to see. This house was mainly used for the outside shots. Again, thank you and welcome ☺️

Fabulous video! Thank you for showing what the inside of the house looks like, while it's still standing. What a beauty it must have been in its day. Let's Scare Jessica to Death is probably my very favorite movie. Never saw inside the Bishop house until your video. What a treat to see inside! It would be so cool if someone bought the property and restored it!
A flash from the past and true treasure trove of relics ... WOW! This old home and property looks absolutely amazing! Stone walls! I'm hooked lol When you climbed the tower I could picture kids using it like a fort ... A secret hideaway. Definitely a special find for sure Marlo! A Black cadillac too!!!!! cray cray! 😲☺️🌲
THE NATUREMAN lol!!!! You actually came to mind when i found the stone wall!!!! Love imagining kids playing fort up there.. or maybe someone writing poetry up there.. great house, lots of character. Thank you my friend ☺️
@@ExplorewithmeMarloC I just found this video. It brought back many memories. I know of the family who lived here. I grew up in that neighborhood near there. I spent many days exploring the old barn a little further back near the old stone walls. The farm house was deteriorating even when I was a kid in the early 70’s. There was a family living in the apartment in the back of the big house back then. We went to school with a couple of the kids. The family who owns the property lived in our neighborhood and owns most of the land around there. We watched them film many exterior scenes of the movie.
@@ttaken2249 it’s a beautiful house. Yes, they just shot the exterior of this house for the movie. How awesome you got to see it in its glory days. Thank you so much for sharing that info.
This is my kinda house 🏠. I love everything about it. Your right they definitely don't build them like this anymore. I'm not going to lie I wasn't expecting you two to find that old car just rotting away like that. Take care you two.
Nicholas Wetherell thank YOU. This was definitely a find. That car was a sweet sight. This was found last month, appropriate for October. Happy Exploring 👻
@ hobie katt I'm sure it still runs with a good charged battery and a tune up. I really liked everything about this explore. Have a nice weekend you two.
Beautiful Italianate architecture. Looks like the only thing that was partially restored was the tower. Has good bones , problematic water damage and mold and requiring new roof and wiring and electrical ... I see it being restored minimally at three million. It’s a good guesstimate. It could sell for about ten when fully restored, based off the notoriety and the desirability of it being heritage property
That Caddy is NOT an Eldorado Biarritz; the Eldorados were only available as a coupe, not a 4 door sedan. What you have here is a 1960 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special.
Awesome video! I love when you get all excited about a place. A lot of the stuff in the house didn't look in that bad of shape considering the age of it. The car was my favorite part and it was unbelievable the condition the body seemed to be in. Stay safe 🤗🌹
Cool explore awesome I think that Cadillac was 1960 ..ive matched "57" "59" and "60 1960 is what it matches up too .glad you passed on that 1 house it was pretty bad see y'all soon .HJ
Funny I went to the other location in Chester earlier this yr and accidently found this location in Old Saybrook yesterday not knowing it was part of the movie until someone saw my photos and told me.
Are there any grave rubbing on the walls, I've seen a lot of scarier movies than this one and this movie came out and I was 4yrs old and this movie still gets me every time I see it. Please no re-makes I don't think it would have the same effect If it was re-made.
That was absolutely amazing!! The architecture of the windows alone....wow Marlo C. I could hear the excitement in your voice!!!! 1970 Sad...it was a beautiful house
Loved this film and would love to see the house. Used to explore abandoned places in East Texas.
That's a turret style portion of the house. So sad that it was left to decay. It's so beautiful 😍
Definitely sad it was left to rot.
That movie haunted my childhood😂
This is a movie I watched when quite young so it still gives me that creepy vibe... Probably my favorite old scary movie for me.
Truth be told.... I have not seen it, just pieces & clips. I’ll have to check out this old cult classic.

At 9:58 in the back left corner is a step stool chair from the late 50s or early 60s. My parents had one when I was a little kid.
Of course there's a lot of antiques that's what the couple did in the movie they sold an antique mirror or picture frame.
