Adult Figure Skating Competition Vlog 2023 ⛸️ | Lake Placid Olympic Center

- Hello friends of the internet! Recently competed at the Empire State Winter Games competition hosted at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, NY! The competition was the first one for my 2022-2023 season and I wanted to share the experience with you all!
It was truly such an amazing experience as the competition was in a similar format to the Winter Olympics with over 23 + winter sports coming together. It was so awesome to see so many athletes from all these other disciplines & sports.
This is the first competition vlog of this season so definitely stayed tuned for more competition vlogs to come for US Sectionals and US Nationals!

Cathy! Thanks for sharing this video - I skated when I was younger but stopped when I was 15 due to lame injuries boo… now in my mid-to-late 20s (idk is 26 mid or late?) and feeling stoked to get back into the sport and maybe compete again?!?? Anyways this and all your other videos are awesome, your courage and joy is inspiring!! GL at nationals, hope to see u there next year
Omg yes!! If your heart says you want to come back again to the sports, you have to do it! I played volleyball growing up my whole life and also stopped due to injury and a multitude of other reasons but I'm glad in my adult life I have redeveloped a positive relationship with it. Thank you and hope to see you there next year if you do come!

I competed in lake placid for the 2023 synchro worlds so to find this video and see the rink again is so lovely ! a truly spectacular rink and location hope you enjoyed it !
I truly did! That rink was so beautiful and it truly felt like a dream to be able to skate there!
So much I’m taking away from your experience. Lake placid holds so many memories for me, and the 1980 rink. I was at sectionals and was able to watch your flight, your skating is very pleasing and improving so nicely!! I know your coach Denise, had hoped she’d be in Florida. On to AN!! 🎉

Congrats on the medal! This looks like such a good event, I’d love to take part but it doesn’t seem to accept international athletes, so if there’s a time you get to go again then have fun on behalf of all of us stuck in the wrong country!
