- My quick tips on how to wash Allbirds shoes in the washing machine:
(1) Remove laces and insoles
(2) Place in washer with towels or other buffer
(3) Wash on cold, gentle cycle
(4) Lay flat to dry (it will probably take at least 24 hours)

Thank you so much! Trying this now.
Very helpful, thank you! I see you also have a "hole" beginning near the big toes of both shoes; I do also! I think this is just a common issue with this type of shoe.
If you stuff the washed, wet shoes with newspaper, they dry much faster.
Thank you 😍
Thank you! 😊
Do you happen to have an recommendations for washing the laces when they do get dirty/stained?
I haven’t washed the laces personally, but maybe try washing them inside a garment/delicates bag inside the washing machine.
Others recommended putting the shoes in a pillow case or delicates bag? Is there any difference with putting the shoes directly in the washer? I don’t want to buy a delicates bag if I don’t have to, but I do have pillowcases I can use if that leads to a better end result.
Good video. Thanks.
Personally I haven't tried a delicates bag or pillow case, but I think a pillow case would probably work.
Before you put the shoes into washer, I noticed they were dirty and how clean were the shoes after you took them out?
Chandra Prakash they are definitely cleaner! I can never get them 100% back to their original state though.
@@MissSarahEK Gotcha. Do the dirt marks on the bottom white sole get cleaned completely or they still remain visible?
I haven’t been able to get them 100% looking new, but definitely cleaner. It probably depends on how much you scrub them and what you use.
The Allbirds website suggests using a garment bag. I see that you didn’t do that. Do you think that is why your shoes are breaking down so fast?
If you live in AZ, they’ll be dry by the end of the day most days 😂
What kind of climate do you live in?
Benjamin Moulday I live in the midwest :)
Sorry doesn't help much since I'm not american, but im guessing its quite cold there. Thank you!
@@benjaminanthonym Sorry, yes we have all 4 seasons where I live! It's quite cold and snowy this time of year.
You are very pretty. Thank you :)
Won't it make your washer dirty?
I haven't found that to be the case. It shouldn't be an issue unless they are very dirty/muddy or something like that. In that case, it's probably best to wipe then off beforehand.
How to wash the sole?
Kenleigh Umali I usually just wipe them off with a wet cloth.
Beautiful lady
When I let them air dry they always end up stinking!
I wash the insoles every single time.
JJ Westgate I hand wash mine cuz I don’t have a life
I would never put shoes in the washing machine even if they recommend you do so. Maybe that’s why you have a hole in them
Maybe! But my thought is they shouldn’t advertise they are machine washable if they can’t hold up to a gentle cycle 🤷♀️
Miss Sarah E K I’m reading what my shoe says. It says they are machine washable but that they are supposed to be air dried. That’s what it says on the tongue. I think that’s what your mistake was not air drying it. Live and learn.
symmetricalastic I’ve never put them in my dryer - only air dried ☺️I think the hole is just wearing down from my toe underneath in that spot 😕
