love that tabletop testing is back 😎
This is the first western channel that makes a tabletop video with high quality, overcoming the japanese channels. If possible or viable, can u put the damage calculation on the screen in the moment of each attacks? Thats would be perfect! Congratulations for the amazing job for the community of TCG and plz continues with more tabletop games.
My takeaways re. Lugia after my City League and a month of locals have been: 2 V-Guard to more reliably deal with the Delphox play into Cinccino by Zard seems prudent (also helps vs. Arc/Tina). 4 Double Turbo feels overkill to me as it's only 50 damage for Cinccino and I'd much prefer a bump to another special energy count.
Radiant Charizard is worth considering for improving your matchups into Future Hands and other big EX's.
Drop a Serena for an Arven and add Max Belt for the same purpose, let Snorlax hit 230 and Lugia hit 270 into things like Moon or Gholdengo. Getting Summoning Star out really isn't as difficult or as necessary as people say when you can swing for 140 with Cinccino or 160 with Snorlax if you have the hand attachments t1/t2 without needing chops.
16 energy total is plenty if played well, even into chunky boys like Zard.
Thanks for sharing very interesting to read!
Just out of curiosity, are these considerations from a Bo1 circuit? I also think Mew ex is an absolute must have in the 60. The amount of times it's won me games against Tina/Zard is unreal. The Rad Zard + Luminous package is incredible, and I think it goes really well with a Luxray + Reversal option for the Zard matchup.
Another consideration, as something I've been running pre-rotation is one Cobalion. It fixes math for the Zard matchup. Mew can OHKO Zard at 2 prizes instead of 1, which is definitely relevant. It would also help against the Ancient Box matchup allowing Snorlax to OKHO baby Moon with booster if there's no Turbo on the Lax.
I will admit, a lot of this is informed speculation until rotation and might not be relevant depending on what the meta looks like, so take it with a grain of salt.
Pleasure! No idea if it's correct, I'm looking forward to EUIC and seeing decks put to the stress test of B03@@OmniPoke
Yeah this is the Japanese B01 circuit. Luxray for things like Pidgeot EX / the Lugia Mirror is definitely viable but there are enough games where you're just up in prizes that it can be a dead card - but still worth considering. Tina is on the down and outs, seeing some play but not a lot. 2 2 Snorlax, Mist Energy and V-Guard are enough to give you a very favoured matchup into it I think. Cobalion+Mew EX are interesting techs but I don't know if they're strictly necessary, although ancient dino box IS tricky as you can run out of attackers quite quickly that can deal with the booster capsuled hp. Rad Zard is an answer there but I do like the Cobalion too for some spice. Balancing the energy intensive Cinccino nukes with efficient late game attackers in Rad Zard and Luxray is a pretty good plan overall @@Turbogremlingaming
Great comments, I do think the mirror will need to be a serious consideration since the up tick in Lugia decks should be significant. I also like Luxray/reversal for that and other niche scenarios against Pidgeot ex and Palkia. I also strongly feel like two collapsed is not enough stadiums, control is still going to be strong, they will run high counts of temple and I think other decks will now have to play temple to counter Lugia's access to jet/mist and gift energy specifically. It feels bad but I think you have to run at least two Mesagoza plus one or two collapsed. If collapsed is your only stadium bounce and you haven't hit Lugia's vstar power yet your board/bench is going to be trash.
I also think in general there are a lot of other great Lugia partners/attackers listed in the comments above like Rad Zard, Mew ex, Wyrdeer, Luxray, Cobalion etc. But it seems to me that you will have to pick a lane with your Lugia build and either go all in on the Cinncino build or play the "colorless" build and include all the above mentioned Mon's.
That's not necessarily bad news it just means that there will be two viable Lugia builds and if you are a fan that's a good thing. I think both builds are strong, which one is better, only time will tell.
Imo, the Cinncino build has a higher power level but less consistent due to evolution requirements. Whereas "colorless" build doesn't require evolution and has more flexibility with various attackers but its power level across the whole meta is lower.
Techno radar and Jacq coming through! 🙌
Although cinccino is an amazing nuke option, is it good to do so early game? Considering that it requires a metric ton of energy (then again, it and lugia are really the only attackers using it besides a snorlax)
The winning list going upto 17 energy enables the aggro approach, possibly rad zard luminous package would help have more fuel with few energy late on!
I have been toying with the idea of Grant as a me and to get the chops in the bin
Would have loved to see luxray into other considerations because of its power in the mirror, to take pidgeot with ease of setup, and just a s a good all around single prize swinger.
Cinccino is the multipurpose detonation machine
I've played a few games with Post Rotation Lugia and seems like it has many issues with beating the Turbo Hands Box (Hands, Crown and Miraidon).
Do you have any ideas on how to improve this matchup? I thought about playing Lost Vacuum to stop their Batons and slow down their acceleration but this may not be enough.
As always, great video and explanation of all plays. Very good sparing partner choice as well, I love Shai ;)
I think the likes of maximum belt and rad zard luminous could chip in but I think it’s always going to be a tricky one!
@@OmniPoke yeah, it seems difficult, right now I'm testing the Master Ball version and I think that this Ace Spec is not necessary and may try Maximum Belt, maybe with Lost Vacuum and Arven as well, I also thought about the Radiant Zard but it won't help in this case because Iron Hands can get 5 prizes in two attacks, even before I will be able to attack with Zard, nevertheless, thanks Joe! :)
Luigia all day
Does Lugia want to go 1st or 2nd?
I think Lugia opts first against zard and the majority of other matchups
Oh you scared me. But my sons testing so far was good against Lugia. :)
Ngl i dont like how you burn the charizard star alchemy so early just to not use the lumineon😢😢😢😢
From everything I've seen thus far there is no doubt that zard is a good deck but Lugia seems to tare it up 8 of 9 times out of 10 my money is on Lugia for bdif
Future box farms both 😂
*swuidward situp* fuuutuurreee!!!
Bruh nah
Both lose to future, just want to put that out there
Ikr bdif my ass
All 3 loses to prime catcher stall 😂
Sure
Is control and mill deck the only true deck that good players play?
Does zard lose though? Especially if it’s the bibarel engine
