Bitragunta is not a Junction friend. It had one of the best loco shed in 60's and 70's. In fact it is the second in India with circular slots for steam locomotives. First one is in Punjab and second one is Bitragunta. Unfortunately due to diesel and electrical locos. It lost its pride. There was a plan of starting coach repair depot. But it did not happen. I still remember we use to get one Anglo Indian teacher coming from Bitragunta to teach English when I was little.

Junction means two or more places to go. It is like Y shapeed. Tranis goes from Nellore to BZA vai Btragunta. SingarayaKonda is in the middle. There is no other destination other than this straight line. @@soujanyakiranteluguchannel
