I tried this recipe last night and it is the greatest I have ever tried.. But important to mix the corn starch with cold water and then mix in...That makes a huge difference with the smoothness of the sauce.. also the only use 1 tablespoon of the beef bouillon and no more... GREAT RECIPE I loved it..and it is GREAT.. I used Mallards and Speck Goose Breasts.. OH SO GOOD..
How dare you! I finally get the chance to get away for the weekend to go hunting (I got a couple of wood ducks yesterday), and you put that adorable little girl in your video and make me miss my one-year-old baby girl so much I almost started tearing up! But in all seriousness, great video, keep up the good work.
I have cooked something very similar.....used raspberry BBQ sauce and Fresh Raspberries.....I should not have watched that before dinner now I am hungrey......good job
Looks Tasty! I make something similar for my duck but use brandy. I use "some" brandy to deglaze my cast iron pan, then melt the blueberry preserve in it and flambe. When the flames die add some heavy cream to finish the sauce. My family loves it!
Man that looks good! I’ve never been able to make duck taste good other than the bacon wrapped poppers which frankly is a little tired. This looks really good! My wife wants to know how many dishes get dirty though. Haha.
Thanks for another great video Joel, that whole meal looks excellent! I can't wait to try yours out. I like to make a blueberry bbq sauce as well that goes great with just about anything on the grill, especially wild game. I'd like to share it with you and your viewers as well. Thanks again for another great video! Ingredients 2 cups of blueberries (fresh or frozen); 3 tbsp unsalted butter; 1/2 cup diced onion; 2 cloves garlic minced; 1/2 cup tomato puree; 1/2 cup brown sugar; 1 cup apple cider vinegar; 2 tsp dry mustard; 1 tsp cayenne; 1 tsp fresh rosemary. Directions - Heat butter in sauce pot and saute onions until translucent, add the garlic and cook until fragrant (~1 minute), mix in remaining ingredients and gently simmer for 30 minutes. - Allow to cool a little and then add to blender and puree the sauce, return to a cleaned pot and keep warm. - Use sauce just as you would any bbq sauce, brush on while meat is cooking, use as a dipping sauce, place over the meat as in the video, etc... Hope you and your viewers enjoy!
My mother in law gave us an advent calendar from that Bonne jam company with a whole bunch of little jars of different jams, perfect for making reduction sauces
Great video Joel, as always. I would give it a taste, not sure I would try to tackle the recipe... not a fan of asparagus... well... or most green food lol. Oh yeah... loved the cover photo... :)
Can't wait to get some more duck breasts to try these recipes with. Do you always sous vide before the grill? I know you put the link but those looked uncooked. Just don't want to mess em up! Glad to see your little one enjoying it too!
Good question. I do normally sous vide. I just didn’t have the time that day, so it was raw. The difference in cooking time on the grill between sous vide or raw is pretty big. You’re only searing on the grill if you sous vide... because the meat is already fully cooked.
Lol till there’s enough. I just go by taste. I guess it’s about a cup of whole blue berries or if you use blueberry jelly, then about a third of a jar.
YOU CAN DO IT! Let me know if you're going to try it!

Do you have a receipt thats simple
There are a few other recipes videos on my channel that are really easy.
Looks delicious. How do you keep from breaking your tooth on steel shot lol. Shoot em in the head?
Check your meat before cooking. Also, the way I slice it helps me find hidden pieces of shot.
Surviving Duck Season thanks my dentist will thank you
Did you just grill these with no sous vide?
Yes just grilled.
Just wish you said how much blue berry to add lol
Lol till there’s enough. I just go by taste. I guess it’s about a cup of whole blue berries or if you use blueberry jelly, then about a third of a jar.
You didn’t see him do about four spoonfuls?😂
Hes like some sort of kitchen magician!
I'm about to eat my remote...
