The respect for everybody independently of gender is at the core of eliminating violence, unfortunately women and girls are more vulnerable but men and boys also suffer of violence. GBV continues to be an important issue affecting women mostly. People must understand the importance respecting the rights of every girl and woman. This is the only way of protecting their dignity and restoration of their self esteem and confidence

Violence against women not only impacts women but also children who get desensitized to violenceagainst women as a result. We need multi-lateral approaches and interventions to address this growing problem. Media and creating awareness about the issue using movies, television, social, and digital media is one way of going about it. Strengthening legal and judicial systems to address these problems is another.
According to a UNICEF report last year, domestic violence ( including inter-personal gender based violence) results in economic losses of 8 TRILLION US$ worldwide! The cost of GBV is more than that of civil war and yet it is a problem that has often overlooked for so long. We need innovative solutions and Australia's State of Victoria is leading the way with 'Right to Respect' Act. It is the first state in the world to have a policy focussed on GBV with its comprehensive community based strategies to promote gender equity- home, work place, sports, and schools.
This is a gift for women not only because they are not the only ones that are in the world because they lives in danger God bless them from beauty Kotela son
