I have a 50,5 CV in my main account and a 49 CV in my second account, I started playing a little bit more than a year ago and I also stopped playing for months. And I also have a 41 CV electro damage goblet ready for when I pull for raiden (in two days).
I also got really lucky on that banner, I was guaranteed for Nahida and didn’t get her too early but I did get Nilou with only a couple pulls after getting Nahida. I guess it was just a lucky banner for both of us lol
I literally had to farm for like 15 days straight to get 1 Nahida and didn’t even get Nilou, it was raining 🌧 the whole time as I was farming to it literally felt like the gods were testing my patience or something even my sister was like why TF is it raining so much in your world… I don’t f**king know why ok lol my sister didn’t farm a damn thing lol came home and just pulled both like it was nothing and didn’t even play them for more than a day. I don’t even play Nahida anymore either 😂 only in abyss
I only own 1 50cv artifact, and it's an HP mainstat circlet. The biggest beauty of how it upgraded is that it all went into crit damage, 44.3%, and has a crit rate of 3.5%. to this day I struggle getting enough crit rate on anyone to get any use out of it lol. 51cv and still cursed in its own way.
It seems like a great yelan piece until you realize that she can only use it at higher constellations or with her weapon iirc and her weapon has crit damage so she would be Struggling for crit rate lol

I actually created a program which simulates artifact rolls! While it is really rough to calculate the probability of specific substats precisely, running that program a million times would give us a pretty accurate estimate on that. If there is demand for it, I can share my code!
I’ve been playing since launch and I’ve only gotten one 50cv piece. A wanderers troupe feather with 14.8 c.rate and 21.0 c.dmg. I’ve never been able to roll another one.

All my amazing artifacts came from bosses I rarely farm artifacts only ten times per patch, maybe a little more if I have a new character :( btw great video as always ^ ^
Same, I have several 45 CV Gladiator and Wanderer's Troupe pieces and only one over 40 out of Domain pieces (and it's 3.5/35 split so still a bit painful)
I usually don't get many good pieces, but I was farming the Emblem domain (again) yesterday, and I kid you not, I think I had the *BEST LUCK* I have ever had in terms of New Artifacts and their substats. 1) Emblem Flower: *Crit DMG / Atk% / EM / Crit Rate;* 2) Emblem Feather: *EM / Atk% / Crit Rate / Crit DMG;* 3) Emblem ATK% Sands: *EM / Crit DMG / Crit Rate / ER%.* These are *Literally* Perfect Pieces. I couldn't think of getting any better pieces (in terms of substat quality) *What could go wrong....?* Well, leveling them didn't go as well as I hoped lollll. The Feather ended up rolling only *Once* into Crit Rate, and the rest went into Atk% and EM. The ATK% Sands rolled *Twice* into Crit Rate, and the rest went 2x EM and 1x ER%. The Flower was the best out of them. It rolled 2x Crit Rate, 2x Crit DMG, and 1x Atk%. (40+CV with amazing subs) So even if you do get perfect pieces, it's still insanely difficult to roll into your desired stats. Don't get me wrong though. These pieces are all still great and will be very useful on some characters. All three of them have *9 rolls* of useful stats (which is the highest you can get). Though my Dreams of getting Perfect (literally) 50CV pieces were quickly shattered Hahahahaha.
I have only one with 51.3 cv (gladiator atk sands with 37.3 cd+ 7 cr), while also having around 30ish artifacts with 40-49 cv since patch 1.0, most of them being from the box (recycled ones), which has a higher chance of rolling 4 substats. My favorite artifacts are the ones that rolls 40+ cv along with the extra substats you need, Xiangling's pyro goblet with 46cv + ER + EM, and Yelan's feathers and flowers with 40+ CV with HP% and ER%
the 10% probability of bonus production is better than the 25% probability of refunding materials, because the quality of bonus produced materials are worth 3x as much as the refunded materials

Back near the start of the game, I was duoing Artifact Domains with my friend and we were having very awful luck. So, due to boredom, we decided to run the numbers on how (un)likely it would be to get a perfect artifact from a single Domain. Not all of the scaling was known back then, so we assumed some parts, but for a 4 line, on-set, specific Element Goblet, all high rolls into crit, the odds were lower than winning the lottery. And that was for a single piece. Granted, you'd have better odds with other pieces as they have less potential stats and even locked main stats, but you need 5 artifacts for a single character, let alone a team of 4, out of the 80+ released characters. Everything else about building a character has a tangible value, and you could spend until your heart's content to sidestep some of the resin constraints, but you may never, ever, receive a single god piece.
I’ve also did maths like these when I had nothing else to do. I calculated that 114 philosophies costs 54 condensed resin if you consider the average drop.
I saw a couple of 50 CV artifacts in my Co-ops, I don't own one myself. The most recent I've seen was an off piece feather (Vermillion Hereafter), 35.7 CD/7.8 CR (35.7 +15.6=51.3) on An Ayato.
Characters that have low investment requirements are such priceless character. Kuki, Nilou are the two I can think of. Slap them with EM/HP main artifacts respectively. Getting HP% substat is just a bonus. Then you are good to go.
I didn't even know a 50 cv artifact was possible... jebus. I've got like 2 or 3 above 40. I think a 43 is my best. Anything over 30 I see as a win, and above 35 is damn good.
about the gravitation force, maybe the code is to accelerate until it get on a max speed, so little high will get a great number, but higher it will get smaller numbers
Yeah there’s a bunch of other factors to that being the probability down even further. The fact of the matter is you’re not going to make a 50 CV artifact out a 3 line starter. 3 line starters are the default for artifacts and 4 line double crit is ridiculously rare. Only then do you have a tiny chance of rolling all crit and high rolls to boot.
He covered 3 line starters in the video, did you not watch it? What are the other factors, not covered in the video, that bring the probability down even further?
Love this video, I've asked the first question myself before. Although I'm not sure how you got the 95 m/s^2 for the gravitational acceleration. Using the first equation and assuming initial vertical velocity is 0, we have that 0 = 2.579 m + 0*t + a * (2.33 ms)^2. Solving for a gets 2.579/(2.33)^2 = 0.475 m/s^2 which is a factor of 1/20th of earth's.
But this is still not true. If you watch closely how you accelerate during long falls it seems like there's no acceleration at all (I don't think it's air friction related). It's like physics in Genshin operate on a completely different principle and maybe we'll get an explanation with "fake sky" in the end or Mihoyo just thought it's more convenient for the gameplay (gliders and shit).
Honestly I'm more confused if it's flat or sphere or inverted sphere. Because the moon reflects the sunlight like we have on earth along with the orbit but the map is laid out in such a way it makes me so confused. All mihoyo had to do was create timezones and it wouldn't be so confusing
Hoyo could allow themselves to be more generous with resin and artifacts and it still woulnd't matter, being RNG locked isn't terrible but being RNG locked and resourse/time locked several times is beyond stingy, why do weekly bosses cost resin? we can only do them once with rewards, why are artifacts as expensive as one time mats? the'res already a Mora sink in place, why don't we at least have a way to secure something every now and then? I've farmed EoSF for months, got a 48CV piece for my Yoimiya, changed XQ, Beidou, Sara, Yelan, Xiangling and maybe someone else I can't remember, I got an amazing set for Hu Tao before even having Hu Tao and my Raiden set still looks like crap, I know it's pretty decent, I think I ranked extremely high on YS helper and akasha but she is at 67/88 LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL, I got destroyed by emblem and pale flame, my Eula set is still terrible, I'm currently being abused by Navia's set and I can't even begging to explain how wasteful farming for artifacts while only looking for a healthy crit ratio is. Genshin having this artifact system in place but still asking for 20 res per run is ridiculous, 3 years and I can tell you that if I had not focused so much on artifact farming on 3 ocassions I'd be working on raising irrelevant talents to 9 (let's say things like MIka basic attacks), I don't refresh regularly and I have 69 out of 76 characters (half of those are prefarmed including Chevy) at 90 with relevant talents at 9 and with a decent set if you exclude Navia who's borrowing Ningguang set until that hellhole blesses me with ANY crit rate helmet or ANY I TAKE ANY Geo goblet of that set. I know some people are gonna say "it's a casual game don't take it so seriously" and let me tell you, I'm as casual as they come, I got all my daily stuff today in less than 20 minutes, on mondays I play mabe twice that and I really get to play when there's new content as I can sit for a while doing quest or exploration during weekeds maybe 3 to 5 hours (thank god Fontaine AQ wasn't as long as Sumeru AQ), I just got decent at managing time, Hoyo needs to tone down the RNG, I've been trapped in sumeru coms due to a single daily, I've been trapped in Navia artifact domain from release, it isn't about how I play, is that I can't do anything to secure a goal. Nevermind getting a 50CV artifact, getting the bare minimun is so tied to luck that I honestly regret this game, I like it, I enjoy playing, I've been here from 1.3 and I still haven't burned out once, but for fuck sake I'd love to feel any semblance of progress after 20 days of Navia non stop farming, I purposely leave achievements and WQ without doing because the daily grind (if we can call doing a 10 sec domain 5 times a grind) is so uneventful that you can go weeks without even raising a piece. Sorry about the essay/rant, the game is amazing but damn I wish Hoyo wasn't in the picture, I see some of the good stuff in HSR and I wonder why they hate Genshin so much, last patch was a step in a good direction tho, late as fuck QoL but still very needed QoL.

I have a few high 40s CV artifacts and exactly one 50 CV artifact. Not only that, it's an atk% sands of the Blizzard Strayer set. My Ayaka has yet to actually touch it though, it's too busy being passed around pretty much all atk scalers in my account, most notably my Fischl. I've been playing since two weeks after launch, with a combined maybe ten weeks that I didn't play in these over three years, and most of the resin I got I spent artifact farming. Also I have a C6 Lisa and I never bought her from the starglitter shop, and I got 5* drops at less than 10 pity multiple times, winning some 50/50s in the process.
I've barely seen 50 crit value artifacts but so many flexes of winning getting 2 or more copies of the banner character in the same 10 pull. Might just be because it's easier to wish than farm lol so people get those chances faster.
A yes, so it'll only take 9000 years of me using 200 resin each day to get one (if I'm within the 50th percentile of lucky people that is). And it'd take some millions of years to get a 54.4 cv artifact. Awesome.
I have only seen two 54.4 cv pieces since I started playing. Both of them are on reddit and I'm very happy for them but I was cursing the owners of those pieces for having great luck
Yeah, after playing for 3 years, I actually have had 9 different 4 line artifacts roll ALL crit...not a single 50cv. All around 44-48. Which, obviously I'm not complaining about 40cv pieces, but DAMN it would be nice to just have ONE 50cv piece.
I started in version 1.1 and i have one 50cv piece, its a blizzard strayer attack hourglass that has 35% crit dmg and 7.8% crit rate. It's currently running as an off-piece for my xiao because its just too godly to pass on. That being said, i didnt expect the probability to be so low... and i always thought im unlucky in genshin haha
i think thw gravitational forces calculation is missing the point that time moves faster in teyvat as well since it only takes a few minutes for a day to pass naturally without player interaction… surely that affects the speed and velocity right?

Yeah, as a player who sank 4000 hours in this game, I have only seen a few dozen pieces that could have potentially been 50CV, only for them to turn into trash once I start rolling them. The closest I got is a 46CV Geo Goblet that my Noelle is using. That piece is about to be 2 years old in a few months. My artifact luck has never been the greatest, so even 40CV pieces are an extremely rare find for me, even after a couple thousand resin's worth of runs. I envy those who have their favorite characters equipped with two to five 50CV artifacts, lol. Dedication doesnt always pay off in this game which is unfortunate as a 1.0 player.

BTW the probability of 2x CRIT is approx 6.693% on a 4-line artifact. This also means to get a specific 4-line item of 2x CRIT + ATK% + ER% is approx 0.0392%. P.S. There are 672 ways of having 2x CRIT on a 4-line, not 258.
your math is SO wrong for the gravity of teyvat. First of all, i counted 31 frames for xingqiu to fall from the very first frame where he started moving downwards to the moment he landed, which is 516ms, so you were working with bad data. it's still higher gravity than earth at ~19.3m/s². that is basically just short of jupiter's gravity. but on the other hand, that means a fall from that height would hurt about the same as falling from 5 meters here on earth. (because he was accelerating at 19.3m/s for just over half a second, he was going about 9.95m/s which is just over the speed you'd be after 5 meters here on earth. xingqiu would get some broken bones IF he was lucky. that drop over there is potentially fatal.
Artifact rng is kinda crazy. I've worked on a program to quickly generate and upgrade millions of artifacts based on the odds in the wiki, and got similar results to this video. Adding on to this, assuming every single artifact is upgraded to level 20 even if it is terrible, about 3% of pieces will end up at 30 cv, just under 0.3% will be at 40 cv, and 0.002% will be at 50cv. Interestingly, 40cv circlets are even rarer, with less than 0.0001% of all artifacts being 40cv crit circlets. Makes the few perfect crit artifacts out there even more crazy, since it seems perfect 54.4 cv artifacts have a chance of less than 0.000003%
Now, I don't really care about getting 50CV artifacts, I just want whatever seems good for my team members. Saves me the pain... mostly. However, a couple days ago, I rolled a really cracked artifact and gave it to Childe. 10.9% CR and 30.3% CD. Right after this video I went to check if this counts as a 50CV artifact, and yeah, this is the only artifact I've ever rolled that has hit that threshold. Goddamn. Makes me wanna build Childe a little more, but uhhhh I still wanna give Neuvillette a better Crit Rate so I'mma just live in the MH domain for a while.
Been playing for over 3 years, the highest CV I've ever got was 46 (45.9 to be exact) apart from that, all of them are below 37 CV, the second highest CV artifact I own is 36,9. It's just depressing.
Across all three accounts i have only 1 artifact that is 50cv (atk sands, 18% crit rate + 14% crit dmg). And it's on my third account that is only 1 year old. My other two accounts are 3 years old, and none of them has 50cv artifacts. I do have some that are really close to 50cv, like 47cv or 45cv. But not many either. So i think it's really rare thing.
my first 50cv artifact is a Wanderer plume with atk%, atk, crit rate 18 and crit damage 14. my second (almost) 50cv is a shimenawa DEF goblet with crit ratio 49.8 cv (i forgot the details because i dont use it on anyone T.T) i hope i still can get my third 50cv
My two best CV artifacts were very recent and incredibly niche. One is my 48.2 CV HP hat for Neuvi and the other is a 46.6 CV DEF sands I rolled “just for fun” on Albedo. I feel like the game lets the not as valuable main stat pieces roll better. Either that, or my luck is just trolling me lol 50 CV is just impossible in my brain.

I saw a couple of 50 CV artifacts in my Co-ops, I don't own one myself. The most recent I've seen was an off piece feather (Vermillion Hereafter), 35.7 CD/7.8 CR (35.7 +15.6=51.3) on An Ayato.
Characters that have low investment requirements are such priceless character. Kuki, Nilou are the two I can think of. Slap them with EM/HP main artifacts respectively. Getting HP% substat is just a bonus. Then you are good to go.

I didn't even know a 50 cv artifact was possible... jebus. I've got like 2 or 3 above 40. I think a 43 is my best. Anything over 30 I see as a win, and above 35 is damn good.
about the gravitation force, maybe the code is to accelerate until it get on a max speed, so little high will get a great number, but higher it will get smaller numbers
Yeah there’s a bunch of other factors to that being the probability down even further. The fact of the matter is you’re not going to make a 50 CV artifact out a 3 line starter. 3 line starters are the default for artifacts and 4 line double crit is ridiculously rare. Only then do you have a tiny chance of rolling all crit and high rolls to boot.

Although I'm not sure how you got the 95 m/s^2 for the gravitational acceleration. Using the first equation and assuming initial vertical velocity is 0, we have that 0 = 2.579 m + 0*t + a * (2.33 ms)^2. Solving for a gets 2.579/(2.33)^2 = 0.475 m/s^2 which is a factor of 1/20th of earth's.
But this is still not true. If you watch closely how you accelerate during long falls it seems like there's no acceleration at all (I don't think it's air friction related). It's like physics in Genshin operate on a completely different principle and maybe we'll get an explanation with "fake sky" in the end or Mihoyo just thought it's more convenient for the gameplay (gliders and shit).
Honestly I'm more confused if it's flat or sphere or inverted sphere. Because the moon reflects the sunlight like we have on earth along with the orbit but the map is laid out in such a way it makes me so confused. All mihoyo had to do was create timezones and it wouldn't be so confusing

Hoyo could allow themselves to be more generous with resin and artifacts and it still woulnd't matter, being RNG locked isn't terrible but being RNG locked and resourse/time locked several times is beyond stingy, why do weekly bosses cost resin? we can only do them once with rewards, why are artifacts as expensive as one time mats? the'res already a Mora sink in place, why don't we at least have a way to secure something every now and then?
I've farmed EoSF for months, got a 48CV piece for my Yoimiya, changed XQ, Beidou, Sara, Yelan, Xiangling and maybe someone else I can't remember, I got an amazing set for Hu Tao before even having Hu Tao and my Raiden set still looks like crap, I know it's pretty decent, I think I ranked extremely high on YS helper and akasha but she is at 67/88 LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL, I got destroyed by emblem and pale flame, my Eula set is still terrible, I'm currently being abused by Navia's set and I can't even begging to explain how wasteful farming for artifacts while only looking for a healthy crit ratio is.
Genshin having this artifact system in place but still asking for 20 res per run is ridiculous, 3 years and I can tell you that if I had not focused so much on artifact farming on 3 ocassions I'd be working on raising irrelevant talents to 9 (let's say things like MIka basic attacks), I don't refresh regularly and I have 69 out of 76 characters (half of those are prefarmed including Chevy) at 90 with relevant talents at 9 and with a decent set if you exclude Navia who's borrowing Ningguang set until that hellhole blesses me with ANY crit rate helmet or ANY I TAKE ANY Geo goblet of that set.
I know some people are gonna say "it's a casual game don't take it so seriously" and let me tell you, I'm as casual as they come, I got all my daily stuff today in less than 20 minutes, on mondays I play mabe twice that and I really get to play when there's new content as I can sit for a while doing quest or exploration during weekeds maybe 3 to 5 hours (thank god Fontaine AQ wasn't as long as Sumeru AQ), I just got decent at managing time, Hoyo needs to tone down the RNG, I've been trapped in sumeru coms due to a single daily, I've been trapped in Navia artifact domain from release, it isn't about how I play, is that I can't do anything to secure a goal.
Nevermind getting a 50CV artifact, getting the bare minimun is so tied to luck that I honestly regret this game, I like it, I enjoy playing, I've been here from 1.3 and I still haven't burned out once, but for fuck sake I'd love to feel any semblance of progress after 20 days of Navia non stop farming, I purposely leave achievements and WQ without doing because the daily grind (if we can call doing a 10 sec domain 5 times a grind) is so uneventful that you can go weeks without even raising a piece.
Sorry about the essay/rant, the game is amazing but damn I wish Hoyo wasn't in the picture, I see some of the good stuff in HSR and I wonder why they hate Genshin so much, last patch was a step in a good direction tho, late as fuck QoL but still very needed QoL.

I have a few high 40s CV artifacts and exactly one 50 CV artifact. Not only that, it's an atk% sands of the Blizzard Strayer set. My Ayaka has yet to actually touch it though, it's too busy being passed around pretty much all atk scalers in my account, most notably my Fischl. I've been playing since two weeks after launch, with a combined maybe ten weeks that I didn't play in these over three years, and most of the resin I got I spent artifact farming.
Also I have a C6 Lisa and I never bought her from the starglitter shop, and I got 5* drops at less than 10 pity multiple times, winning some 50/50s in the process.

I've barely seen 50 crit value artifacts but so many flexes of winning getting 2 or more copies of the banner character in the same 10 pull. Might just be because it's easier to wish than farm lol so people get those chances faster.

A yes, so it'll only take 9000 years of me using 200 resin each day to get one (if I'm within the 50th percentile of lucky people that is). And it'd take some millions of years to get a 54.4 cv artifact. Awesome.
I have only seen two 54.4 cv pieces since I started playing. Both of them are on reddit and I'm very happy for them but I was cursing the owners of those pieces for having great luck
Yeah, after playing for 3 years, I actually have had 9 different 4 line artifacts roll ALL crit...not a single 50cv. All around 44-48. Which, obviously I'm not complaining about 40cv pieces, but DAMN it would be nice to just have ONE 50cv piece.

I started in version 1.1 and i have one 50cv piece, its a blizzard strayer attack hourglass that has 35% crit dmg and 7.8% crit rate. It's currently running as an off-piece for my xiao because its just too godly to pass on. That being said, i didnt expect the probability to be so low... and i always thought im unlucky in genshin haha
i think thw gravitational forces calculation is missing the point that time moves faster in teyvat as well since it only takes a few minutes for a day to pass naturally without player interaction… surely that affects the speed and velocity right?

Yeah, as a player who sank 4000 hours in this game, I have only seen a few dozen pieces that could have potentially been 50CV, only for them to turn into trash once I start rolling them. The closest I got is a 46CV Geo Goblet that my Noelle is using. That piece is about to be 2 years old in a few months.
My artifact luck has never been the greatest, so even 40CV pieces are an extremely rare find for me, even after a couple thousand resin's worth of runs. I envy those who have their favorite characters equipped with two to five 50CV artifacts, lol. Dedication doesnt always pay off in this game which is unfortunate as a 1.0 player.

BTW the probability of 2x CRIT is approx 6.693% on a 4-line artifact. This also means to get a specific 4-line item of 2x CRIT + ATK% + ER% is approx 0.0392%.
P.S. There are 672 ways of having 2x CRIT on a 4-line, not 258.

your math is SO wrong for the gravity of teyvat. First of all, i counted 31 frames for xingqiu to fall from the very first frame where he started moving downwards to the moment he landed, which is 516ms, so you were working with bad data. it's still higher gravity than earth at ~19.3m/s². that is basically just short of jupiter's gravity. but on the other hand, that means a fall from that height would hurt about the same as falling from 5 meters here on earth. (because he was accelerating at 19.3m/s for just over half a second, he was going about 9.95m/s which is just over the speed you'd be after 5 meters here on earth. xingqiu would get some broken bones IF he was lucky. that drop over there is potentially fatal.

Artifact rng is kinda crazy. I've worked on a program to quickly generate and upgrade millions of artifacts based on the odds in the wiki, and got similar results to this video. Adding on to this, assuming every single artifact is upgraded to level 20 even if it is terrible, about 3% of pieces will end up at 30 cv, just under 0.3% will be at 40 cv, and 0.002% will be at 50cv. Interestingly, 40cv circlets are even rarer, with less than 0.0001% of all artifacts being 40cv crit circlets. Makes the few perfect crit artifacts out there even more crazy, since it seems perfect 54.4 cv artifacts have a chance of less than 0.000003%

However, a couple days ago, I rolled a really cracked artifact and gave it to Childe. 10.9% CR and 30.3% CD. Right after this video I went to check if this counts as a 50CV artifact, and yeah, this is the only artifact I've ever rolled that has hit that threshold. Goddamn. Makes me wanna build Childe a little more, but uhhhh I still wanna give Neuvillette a better Crit Rate so I'mma just live in the MH domain for a while.

Been playing for over 3 years, the highest CV I've ever got was 46 (45.9 to be exact) apart from that, all of them are below 37 CV, the second highest CV artifact I own is 36,9. It's just depressing.
Across all three accounts i have only 1 artifact that is 50cv (atk sands, 18% crit rate + 14% crit dmg). And it's on my third account that is only 1 year old. My other two accounts are 3 years old, and none of them has 50cv artifacts. I do have some that are really close to 50cv, like 47cv or 45cv. But not many either. So i think it's really rare thing.

My two best CV artifacts were very recent and incredibly niche. One is my 48.2 CV HP hat for Neuvi and the other is a 46.6 CV DEF sands I rolled “just for fun” on Albedo. I feel like the game lets the not as valuable main stat pieces roll better. Either that, or my luck is just trolling me lol
