- The last King Arthur game got great reviews, here's a new dark fantasy ancient Roman themed RPG that brings more good gameplay. Click & see Legion IX on Steam: bit.ly/GamerZakh_KA_IX Thanks to NeocoreGames for sponsoring. This is a turn-based tactical game and after having a lot of the original and this new one I can say it's pretty solid.

I personally love tactical RPGs so this was great. People enjoyed the last one, click here to check out the new one on Steam: bit.ly/GamerZakh_KA_IX [ad] Thanks to NeocoreGames for sponsoring. Also there's launch sales - King Arthur: Legion IX - 10% off, King Arthur: Knight's Tale - 60% off
I didn't play their previous game but as a Roman nerd who thinks daily about the Eternal City I will definitely try this.
Killing the entire enemies without taking any damage is impressive 👍👍
I was trying real hard to play properly haha
The first one was a drag , im hopeful for this one.
damn this looks cool, I wna play this also!
This is a good game.
Always happy to watch your long-form videos where you're playing new games!
Kind of a tangent here but hopefully constructive criticism. Something about your thumbnail design makes me just want to scroll past your videos in the feed. I know its a style you've used a lot, but maybe consider new designs for different types of videos? Maybe I'm in the minority or it's literally just me but for whatever reason the style makes me think of AI generated slop content. Edit: Specifically not having the logo of the game or the official title/font can make it less immediately clear about what the content actually is when scrolling through a feed.
Thanks! And thumbnails are always tricky. UA-cam is supposed to be implementing an A/B system where you can upload 2 thumbnails and the better performing one is picked, but only certain channels have access to that right now. The past year I've been trying a lot, specifically the debate of whether to have the game's title in the thumbnail or not. It's really a case-by-case, but generally what I'm finding is if the game is famous or recognised people prefer seeing the game's name in the thumbnail. Otherwise, an unrecognised name means fewer people click because they don't immediately understand what it is. So in this case I opted for no game name because people don't readily know what 'Legion IX' is.
@@GamerZakh I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to keep up with the constantly changing rat race dynamics UA-cam seems to still subject content creators to. I personally stopped engaging with my own UA-cam channel way back in 2012 because I did not agree with the direction Google was taking the site, even back then. Marketing and advertising is already a soul-draining endeavor without having to deal with the arbitrary whims of a megacorporation trying to squeeze every last drop of blood out your content. I wish social media wasn't so antisocial...
Great game
This game looks interesting, I like the concept.
Is there any music in the game? It seems so quiet as you plan your every move.
What is the purpose of HP, Vitality, Armor? Do they act as their own separate health pools? I haven't played the previous title so some of the mechanics seem needlessly implemented or complex as opposed to a balanced health pool for each character..
Always enjoy your videos, thank you!
Thanks! Yeah there's music, some of it is quite noticeable but a lot is pretty subtle. And those are separate health pools-ish. Armour is first, there are armour points which reduce incoming damage but breaks as you take hits. HP sort of acts like a type of overhealth, which needs to be depleted before vitality. Then vitality is your base health, when that's depleted the unit dies. A lot of abilities and stats are based on vitality, like execution for enemies below 40% vitality or a spell to half vitality, so HP protects from spell + attack + execution combo so you can't just 1-shot massive enemies because the attack would need to get past armour and/or HP first. Also a lot of things only restore vitality, like campfires and potions or vampirism, so this allows starting a mission with a ton of health but as you take damage you can only restore so much. Act too recklessly and you won't have any HP for the final battle, for example. It seems needlessly complex at the start but as you see what abilities and synergies can be done as you level up then you start to see why they need to exist.
@@GamerZakh I appreciate the breakdown, thank you! I am beginning to understand how the various resources can synergize with the game systems. Needless to say I will be keeping my eye on this game!
Первую чать прошел 2 раза. Щас в этой залипаю.
I'll be honest, the first game was a bit of a disappointment and I didn't really like a lot of the systems. It looks like they haven't changed that much, it looks almost identical to the first game still. Might be a pass for me.
That's okay, not every game is for everyone. Even the best games in the world still have 2-5% of people hating them haha, preferences are valid.
"A lot of DOT over time...."
So Damage over time over time then?
No I meant dots of damage, like small ticks.
Arthur? In Roman times? What's next, WWII with Abrams tanks and Apache helicopters?
It's set in Avalon, historical accuracy isn't exactly the point lol
@@GamerZakh I get the idea, since Arthur is more of a myth than actual history.
By the way, the comment about advanced WWII is slightly sarcastic, as in the first Red Alert the Allies do use Abrams tanks and Apache helicopters.
One possible version of a real Arthur was a Romano-Celtic king who resisted the Anglo-Saxon invasion. But yea that would be after the Romans left. Fantasy on top of fantasy.
@@JGD185 Huh. TIL
@@JGD185 IIRC it was after the romans left but the Britons kept their society as Roman as they could
Zakh, give me back my legions!
Wow...
This arthur game? Wheres my Patrick Stewart
Awful American voice acting that completely ruins the immersion.
