Note, I say 'Legion 9' at 4:16, if you comment about 'I.X.' then you're just not paying attention. Now, I'm trying to cover every notable new RPG but some subgenres don't have enough, so here's a bunch! Check out King Arthur: Legion IX on Steam: bit.ly/GamerZakh_KA_IX [ad] Thanks to NeocoreGames for sponsoring.
Wizardry, The Way of Wrath and Felvidek looks really neat and interesting
Felvidek is really interesting, thank you for pointing it out!
Good list again. I'm finding Archaelund a lot of fun on steam in early acess. It's amazing when you consider it's only a single developer.
Wow not sure how I missed the Wizardry remake. Played a lot of the Wizardry games back in the day. Thanks for the list
random trivia: Felvidek is the hungarian name of a part of Slovakia, pronounced Felvid-ache
I wonder if my wishlist will become sentient at some point lol. Thanks GZ!
Great stuff, as always. Really appreciate these videos. Thanks!
Thank you, man. Its always a pleasure to watch your videos.
I already bought sacred fire like a year ago and purposely not playing it until full release... and I forgot about it until seeing it here...
Very cool list again
Thank you!
Felvidek made in RPG maker, super impressive.
I remember originally playing this game, back in the day 😜
It's official release is the 23rd of this month 😝
I'm one of the last of the "true" OG gamer's left 😆
Thanks Zakh !
1440p... nice!
I found UA-cam limits the quality of 1080p videos pretty harshly, so even when I make 1080p videos, it's better to scale it up to 1440p because it still looks way better.
I would like to see you finishing a game of Emperor of the Fading Suns enhanced edition.
I'm currently absorbed into In Stars and Time, but Sacred Fire is very peculiar
Yeah I was researching that game too, released 2023 so can't list it here but people seem to be loving it.
@@GamerZakh Well, you can put it in that indie games of the last few years list that was in the suggestion post you made, or you can put it in the Swirl W@tch list after this year ends, if you end up choosing one of those two for the new series.
thanks!
4 wasn't wishlisted - fixed now ))
P.S. just thoughts aloud: will we ever see next "Skyrim" iteration?
P.P.S. "Sacred fire" would be perfect for phone gaming.
Perfect timing with the video , was wanting to find a good rpg
If you happened to read my comment can you suggest a rpg or any game to watch a walkthrough of that has a good story.
I recently watched this game on youtube "Harold halibut" its set on a alien planet , which i liked the most world rich with wonderful things to explore
Wizardry 🥰🥰
You forgot Helldivers 2!
Too soon?
Haha! I'm sure there won't be an end to those.
wayward realms ?
I've already listed it, check the other RPG lists linked in the description.
It is legion 9 (in Roman style) 😅
Yes, I say legion 9 in the video to show I know it's a number. I often say things how they're spelled because audio-only viewers and people in general should know what to search for. If you search 'Legion 9', you get Lenovo's laptop.
@@GamerZakh No offence. Just stumbled over it.
@@GamerZakh P.S. Lenovo laptop 😅
it’s intentional, to bait out smartass like you to correct him for engagement, he should do it more, very smart
Legion 9.
Yes, I say that in the video.
Oh I wrote a better explanation so I can copy paste it, here you go:
This is copy pasted since so many people obviously didn't listen to the video. It's a lengthy explanation, because inference isn't possible. I clearly say 'Legion 9' at 4:16 in the video. That would mean I know 'IX' is Roman numerals for '9', right? So why would you think I don't know it's '9'? Did you comment so fast in a rush to correct a UA-camr you missed that? Probably. So I say 'I.X.', but I also say '9', so why would I say 'I.X.' if I know it means 9? There must be a reason right? Hmm, let's try Google for 'Legion 9' and see what shows up: www.google.com/search?q=legion+9
Ah, there's a problem. Legion 9 is a Lenovo laptop. Well that's not what I'm telling people to find, that's not even the historical Roman Legio IX Hispana. So I say 'I.X.' so people type it in correctly and know that the game is spelled with Roman numerals.
"But surely anyone watching the video can see it says 'IX' on screen?" I hear you ask. Oh but in reality, a huge number of people watch UA-cam videos, particularly my list videos, audio-only. That's right, a ton of people aren't even looking at the screen. Even if they were though, just because I write 'IX' on screen, if I say '9', people often would embed the number '9' in their brains and when they look up the game, they're going to type 'Legion 9' and not be able to find the game.
"Surely people won't make that mistake so often", you might be wondering. So consider, you left this comment because you didn't watch to the end of the Legion IX segment before commenting. Or you were so distracted by hearing 'I.X.' that all information stopped being processed. People are like that all the time for all sorts of things, so better to just say 'I.X.' and mention 'Legion 9' once so people would understand that I know it's a number but I'm just reinforcing the spelling of the game's title. Turns out, I overestimated people's ability to do that and I should make things even more straightforward.
Anyway, I hope this explanation helps you understand the situation. Thank you for reading.
@@GamerZakh I think it's just a part of being a UA-camr that everyone of them needs to carry through its UA-camr's life 😂
@@igoromelchenko3482 Haha yeah, I always try to cover all bases but there's no end to how unexpected people can be with trying to nitpick details.
"Legion I X", You mean Legion 9 ?
Yes I say 'Legion 9' in the video, did you not watch to the end of the segment? I say I.X. for a reason.
Oh I wrote a better explanation so I can copy paste it, here you go:

Hey, sorry zakh, I couldn't find the previous "thread" where we talked about wokism, so I have to post it here...
Well, the recent ass creed announcement contain another example of what I'd classify as wokism and this time it involves us asians... (I know you're a hybrid, just to say I remember, not to mean anything involving what I'd describe later)
So, I don't play ass creed games, but AFAIK, the previous titles always use a native protagonist from the setting, and despite native characters they were fictional characters.
But now they're doing ass creed japan by giving it a historical black person main playable character, but in meanwhile they also misrepresent him compared to what they recorded in the history. (The real guy was a slave turned retainer, but in the game they make him full fledged samurai)
And some media like IGN even came out with article justifying it saying that we already have too many asian themed games with asian characters...
That's wokism to ne, theyre really trying to incite controversy while misrepresenting people, mistepresenting culture and doing it with holier than thou attitude.
And it just like with last year (or the previous one) where Hollywood came out with a cleopatra movie portrayed by a black woman. Not the same case but both equally insulting to the history and the people where the story and setting happened.
Yeah that thread was deleted because the original poster never defined what they meant by woke. And I don't have much else to say about it in our discussion, I just want you to know terrible people use the word consistently, so unless you explain it, people will think you're a terrible person.
'Woke' could mean anything. Your stance is, "I like historical accuracy when it comes to historical figures". You should say that instead because that's perfectly fine. I personally am not bothered by the casting of Cleopatra or the new AC game's deviation from history, but I can understand that accurate representation is important. See you're okay with an AC game having a woman viking character right? Because there were woman vikings and that character is fictional, so it could be anyone. Most people who say 'woke'? They say the woman viking is woke because they're sexist.
Just for another reference, yesterday someone said Homeworld 3 was 'woke' because the protagonist was a woman and the second character was a black man. I went to their profile and their banner image was literally about supporting nazis and white supremacy. So when you call HW3 'woke', you're standing right next to an openly literal nazi.
Neo nazis, sexists, and racists use 'woke' as a dogwhistle to identify each other and call out. If you study history, you find they always have a word or term they use which if taken literally is fine but they always mean it as something bad. So if you use the word, then just know you are associating yourself with nazis, sexists, and racists, even if you aren't, this is a word they use frequently. You can, that's your choice, you should just know that.
If you need some reference, here's what 'woke' means now:
time.com/6250153/woke-convenient-republican-dog-whistle/
As it says, "Whether it’s a term like “woke,” or more traditional labels like “welfare queen,” “buck,” “thug,” “terror,” “illegals,” “socialists,” or “unAmerican,” the efficacy of a racial dog whistle is not in the fact that nobody knows whom you’re clearly talking about, it’s the plausible deniability that allows you to respond: “Who’s talking about Black people? I’m just talking about leftists. You’re the one making it about race.”"
And you accidentally fit right into that, because when I brought up people being racist to me and calling me 'woke', you said you never heard of it being about race, when it's almost always about race. But this is why I force people to define 'woke' when they use it. I don't allow that plausible deniability, explain or it gets deleted and often banned. What you explained is fine, what many others explained was very much not fine.
Sacred Fire - People say it's only a few hours long and feels like a demo
Wizardry - the old school game was BRUTALLY difficult. I wonder how this will be
love yoou zak
..really depressing, nothing was wishlisted that day.
legion ix..... it's 9 ffs.
I say 9 in the video ffs. Haha didn't listen to the end huh? Lol I'm saying 'I.X.' because if you search for 'legion 9' you get Lenovo's laptop.

legion i.x say it right lil bro
none of them are interesting enough to convince me to play, better stick with mmorpg
That's exactly the opposite of what people say whenever I make an mmorpg list haha. I've listed almost 90 RPG this year you know, check the other lists linked in the description.
That's why you leave gaming to the Real Hardcore Gamers little boy. Now you go play what ever pathetic game you're playing now 😂 I'm betting it Call of Douchey or some other LOSER title 🤣
The choice of RPGs in this video is meh...
These are the best RPGs that don't fit into any of my subgenre videos. What kind are you looking for? I got the other lists linked in the description.
@@GamerZakh thank you for your reply. Yes, I watched all your previous videos! The choice of games there was from very good to average (mostly good) in my personal opinion. And I liked all those previous videos... I believe that 50% of my wishlist on Steam is based on your game reviews. So, thank you so much for doing that, I really appreciate it.
It's just all the RPGs in this particular video look boring. But that's fine. Just wanted to leave some feedback. Also, any comment (positive or negative) helps to increase its popularity on UA-cam (as far as I know). So, I believe that it is just a piece of feedback for you + help in promotion of your video.
( so RPG is dead if its great of 2024
Dude, we literally just got the biggest and most successful RPG in decades with BG3. You seriously think the genre is dead? Have you seen the rest of the RPGs in the other 4 lists? What are you even looking for? First person? Action? Classic isometric? Diablo-like? What you want I got it covered.
@@GamerZakh
If I'm not mistaken =) bg3 came out last August. I’m not looking for anything, it’s just that not a single game from this particular selection even came close to catching my eye. The impression is that the market is overflowing with indie homemade products and junk that belong on mobile phones. Don't take it to heart, I'm just grumbling like an old man
@@E.Grablinski Yeah, it released less than a year ago and you consider the genre dead? Okay you're looking for non-indie AAA games. How about Kingdom Come 2? Elden Ring Expansion? Black Myth Wukong? Rise of the Ronin? Dragon's Dogma 2? Dragon Age Dreadwolf? Path of Exile 2? There's just so much man.
@@GamerZakh There may be translation difficulties. I meant specifically in this video everything is very sad.
So
Kingdom Come 2 isn't out yet. But the first part is great.
Elden Ring is without a doubt luxurious. But this is not even a game from last year. The release of patches and DLC does not change this.
Black Myth Wukong is not out yet.
Rise of the Ronin console.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is the same.
Dragon Age Dreadwolf no release date
Path of Exile 2? Seriously ? Online masturbation...
I wouldn't say it's dead but it's surely dead within AAA+ companies like BioWare and Bethesda, yeah. But that's not necessarily bad thing. Those who care about skins, different kind of monetization lottery and spending dad's money on soulless crap can have their Blizzard and Ubisoft crap all they want. The greatest games in the genre now comes from double-A or Indy companies and BG3 is great example. Then there's Kingdom Come 2 and few other projects that I hope will shine.
