- South African radio personality Jeremy Mansfield has passed away.
Mansfield announced on Facebook in January that he had been diagnosed with liver cancer after beating Leukemia 13 years prior.
Born Robert Jeremy Clayton Mansfield on 15 August 1963 in Makhanda, Mansfield had a career that spanned decades, bringing entertainment and laughter to many on then 94.7.

He hosted my favourite TV show growing up, A Word Or 2. His personality was magnetic and he is dearly missed! Rest in eternal peace, Jeremy!

I am a born South African, lived my whole life in SA. Stayed and worked in Gauteng JHB. I now, stay in Germany and have stayed here now for 4 years .. And hearing this above video of Jeremy Mansfield, is just so touching.. 91.9FM was what I listened to for years riding to work every day. It made my days so worthwhile. Awesome days never to be forgotten EVER!! Jeremy Will always live in my heart forever. RIP Jeremy. We Will ALWAYS Love YOU!!!.

I always tuned into the rude awakening whenever I was in JHB, it became routine listening to Jeremy and Sam after a red eye flight in my rental when I travelled to JHB. It's extra sad when the person lost was like the big guy been spoken about in the comments and in this vid, what an awesome guy. RIP my brother.... ☹

He will leave a huge hole in many people's lives. He kept me sane while I worked in Joburg in the 90's. I will never forget his outrageous Carike Keuzenkamp joke. Looking forward to having a beer with him on the other side.
