Ill Met In Lankhmar is so good. Funny you didn't enjoy the Gray Mouser's intro as much, neither did Harry O. Fischer who created the characters and he wrote a short piece adding to his backstory. Some recommend starting with Swords Against Death but I started here too and fell in love. Lovely review!

Just finished!! And came back to complete listening to your review which I found interesting. The 2nd story moved kind of slowly for me and would be my least favorite. But glad I hung in there I agree #4 was the best. Looking forward to more. I do usually read a series in order published but think I'll be glad I started here with this one. Thanks for the introduction to this author & these characters. 👍😊👍
