    my grandma played this for me all the time as a child, i loved dancing with her in her arms until the sun came up early in the morning, such sweet childhood memories. now 30 years later, we are finally getting married. Thanks!!!!

      final update: this is lowest point of my entire life. i went to the store to get something to eat to console myself, they called my an ugly peice of shit and said i was a weirdo for fucking my own grandma, whats worse is my opps stopped me on the way home and had their way with me. low key was fuckin w it. after finally getting home i took a long look in the mirror and explored myself, not like exploring my body on sum weird cay shit but like i wouldnt be opposed to it in the future, looking into my eyes i found a person staring back i didnt hardly know, a man who was troubled by the divorce of his grandma and wife, the death of his unborn son and father, and a man who needed love desparatley. the same love i expeireced dancing to this son all those years ago. Im offically working on forgiving myself for thesed actions even tho i think i was low key valid for allat. dont mattah tho, grandma fucker, father aborter. penis sucka, depressed loser, im starting to accept all these things about the man in the man in the mirror and loving the man that stares back at me. nay hetero. i truly love you and all the things you are.
      edit: who up ticklin it rn?🤔

      In classical and Jazz theory triangle means major triad, and triangle7 means major 7. but in this case i guess the writer actually meant major seventh by the triange symbol.

    • @jaydonwood179
      @jaydonwood179 3 роки тому +9

      @@aleksgodson5125 the triad is normally signified by the letter name only. writing capital C is writing the major triad. the bits at the end are additions(with exceptions for sus chords) so triangle has to be the maj7. triangle7 would be maj7 add maj7, so its a little redundant :) hope this didnt come across as condescending, cheers.

      What? The bass and drums parts are awful. Listen again and compare them to the original real jazz players recordings (sonny stitt, mehldau et al)
      The bass part is flat and totally without syncopation. Likewise the drum part . ( sound like a cheesy 90's casio swing loop).
      The guitar voicing are good, but he way too often lands on the "One" instead of ahead of beat.
      "This kind of comping drags, rather than creating the tension between the instruments needed to make it swing." (Mark Levine: Jazz Piano) It will not benefit you "internal metronome" to saturate your brain with this kind of playing.
      You are what you eat. You will play as you practice.

      @@MarkTarmannPianoCheck_it_out The "right" way ? ? Lol.
      Which version? By whom? Of the 100s (1000s?) of recorded individual performances, creative interpretations and arrangements of this song -- some with chord substitutions chosen by careful consideration, or by accident, or perhaps misheard "in transcription", which version does Mr. Arbiter Of All Righteousness deem the "right" one? The most famous? The loudest? The most obscure? Your particular favorite? The earliest? One perhaps from the original cast album of the short-lived 1939 Jerome Kern musical that introduced this song? (Here's a performance of original orchestration: ua-cam.com/video/Kf80ntbCLCc/v-deo.html ).
      Listen carefully.
      Oh, my my . . . where is the now cliché Bird/Diz intro . . . . ?
      Those naughty lads shouldn't have tampered with the original, eh? Such wrong, wrong chords. Tsk tsk tsk.
      And as for 'transcribing' being the (presumably only) "right" way to learn chords, or a tune, or anything else: Not to diminish the manifold benefits of transcribing for improving one's ear-training to note details, in my opinion, to admonish and insist upon this as the "right way" is simply a moldy fig notion perpetuated by the self-appointed, snobbish, cliquish and apparently dyspeptic jazz police who, in musical performance situations, take not-so-secret pleasures in subtle or overt forms of "vibing" others and in exhibiting other forms of "hipper-than-thou" intimidation. A jack-booting of the spirit.
      Life is way too short in any case, especially when practice and preparation time is at a premium, not to choose from manifold technologies available (print, digital, video, sound, whatever) to quickly obtain and internalize the info one seeks. One method does not preclude another. Several things may be "right". Of course, this is simply an opinion.
      But I guess you learned Giant Steps and ATTYA entirely by ear, never once consulting lead sheets. Good for you! I couldn't . . . was way too impatient, alas.
