Everything before 2009 was wild. That’s why classic strongman is so fun to watch.
todays strongman is like powerlifting with no rules. powerlifting + :D
You could tell he was genuinely sorry for hurting Nathan. Solid dude.
He didnt hurt Nathan, Nathan hurt himself because he didnt know how to armwrestle in a safe way.
Magnus was my idol when groning up.. Still is, amazing Athlete and human
"I probably broken his arm"
That snap though
this one never gets old
I like how Magnus celebrates hahaha.
Nathan is a dead ringer for Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) from the Rocky series.
He was sweets in heartbreak ridge
He broke his own arm by turning away from his arm. For beginners it's crucial to always look at your hand. This prevents you from getting in that akward position where your upper arm snaps in half so easily.
In general yes... Ive always found that description to be a bit lacking though as you can totally be in the wrong position while still LOOKING at your hand (like, over your shoulder yaknow).
That hurts
VIKING POWER BOY
I remember this incident live: wathced all the "Strongest Man" in those days...
Oh no no
02:20 "he won't win this easy" He didn't win at all. Instead, he destroyed! What an unfortunate moment!
Nathan is pretty tough though, Magnus used all he got and did it in 10 seconds. That's 10 very long seconds
Torfi olafsson my favorite😀😀😀😀🌈🌈🌈🌈
Swedish power💛💙💛💙
Why the hell would this event be in Worlds Strongest man?
Best event they ever had
Because organizers had no idea what armwrestling really is, and thought "oh its a cool thing to see who is stronger!"
Jones should of slipped out. Dude was trying a press against a top roll and had no idea he was doing. Power vs Technique and we all saw what happened.
The real question is why isn’t it! Strongman is about being a well rounded strong man.
@@Strider86 yeah..
Nathan probably should have won that year maybe
Yeah, he probably could've won a few. He had the potential but probably made a lot more money in wrestling and acting.
who the hell decided this event? It is so risky and so stupid to put big strong guys with no experience in armwrestling against each other in a competition
Then there’s me, the ultimate beast who would wreck all of them
It's arm wrestling not eating
Imagine being unable to continue competition because of an arm wrestling accident.
why would that be hard to imagine? Arm wrestling causes tons of injuries
What an astoundingly stupid event to put into a strongman competition 🙄😅 I guess they hadn't yet seen the hundreds of UA-cam videos of drunk people snapping their arms arm wrestling back then 😅
How would they have seen the UA-cam videos when UA-cam was made in 2005...?
@@Finance357 I think UA-cam was around in 2000
@@frv6610 Google it.
@@frv66102005
Horrible technique
Those are the breaks 😂
