I absolutely love the room. The labor that went into the mantle, the end result was perfection! I love the elegance the wainscoting brought in. The hutch stain looks perfect. I love love love the color.
Those Eastlake thumb latches are the type of little detail that makes my day. Everything is stunning from the mantle to the china cabinet to the light fixture. I am so in love with that wallpaper with the little bees!
I CANNOT tell you what my favorite thing in the room is because I have the most jaw dropping respect for all the hard work and dedication you both put into everything. My only hope is that the people who bought the house will be gracious enough to allow you guys back in for an update as this house once again becomes a home. There is such a feeling of euphoria with the choices you have made in the decor of the room. Those choices will now be foundations for the rest of the room decor for the new owners. Imagine the search for just the right complimentary china pattern for the lovely meals a family will serve in this room making cherished memories for generations to come. The choice of fabric and colors for the drapery to bring all the colors of the room together and give a calming effect. It's all so wonderous!
Love the “King and I” reference. The wall paper is absolutely stunning. Standing back and looking at the love and heart put into your labor bring back the life of the wood covered for so many years in paint must be such a rewarding feeling . Congratulations!
Everytime you upload a reveal video with before and after like this, it always amazes me how a historic home could live longer, longer than a human could ever live if well taken cared off. The transformation you create is always a day and night difference. It's so gorgeous!
Your care and attention to getting the fireplace and cabinet back to its beautiful wood is incredible. Everything looks stunning! I can't wait to see what magic you perform on the kitchen.
Laine and Kevin, I’m so awkward you’ll feel sauve in comparison :)) I love me an old house and am passionate about what I do, but I never knew how to explain it. We ❤your goofiness. Why do you think we keep watching? It’s like an Old Home train wreck and a history museum, with a side of restoration thrown in for free! LOL I like most that you bought this house fir that light fixture and that mantle! The next person will buy it for those plus the wallpaper :))
The lamp shades, the China cabinet, the wallpaper, the wainscoting-all perfection, but the Murder Mantel is absolutely gorgeous. And the way the wallpaper matches so wonderfully with the lamp shades-lovely touch-and with the tiles on the fireplace. Pulls it altogether. Great work, guys, and thanks for another fascinating video.
My heart is singing Laine and Kevin. Every inch of that room is perfection. My favorite part is the murder mantel. Tiger oak? Wow. But.. I love it all. The wallpaper makes everything more awesome and I thought Pearl was perfect before you did anything. This reveal was worth the wait. You two are amazing 💚💜💚💜
It’s beautiful! The wall paper is perfect for that light fixture. Looks amazing! Don’t feel bad about your social anxiety. I grew up in Natchez. It’s not you. It’s Natchez.
The dining room is STUNNING. Bravo to Laine for all of the hard work on the mantle and china cabinet … injuries and all! That lamp, wallpaper and wainscoting are just more finery for Pearl! ❤❤❤
You put sooo much work into this room, and the results are stunning. This house is beautiful, yet cozy and livable. I would love to live in one of your restored homes. Well done.
Absolutely beautiful! It’s hard to choose a favorite part. It all goes together so harmoniously. That fixture is just amazing and how wonderful that its glass lotus globes have survived all these years. The paper you chose for that space, the mantel, and hutch…*chef’s kiss
This is such a pretty room! I love how the wallpaper really brings out the tile. The fireplace and hutch are awesome! So glad you are not seriously hurt.
You all work so dang hard but it is soooo lovely! The mantle is so beautiful!! I would have never though you would find tiger wood under all that paint. I hope the new owners know how special of a couple you are for bringing back this lovely house. ❤&🙏 🙋
I can not find the words! I love the mantle, the hardware on the china cabinet , the wainscoting , light, but the wallpaper. I could spend hours just getting lost in the pattern. The blue!! That blue!!! The 🐝!!! Well done!!! ❤
I believe the terminology you are looking for is a Knocked Up Noggin. That gorgeous Tiger Oak mantle gave you a knocked up noggin, but you prevailed! The wallpaper choice is wonderful. It has a modern appeal, but the overall effect is very traditional.
Laine the King and I oh my heavens, I'm a old Hollywood movie gal myself... I did watch A team back as a girl. Your channel keeps me company all these lonely nights, distracts me from my pain for a few minutes and is encouraging to my soul, my heart loves everything old, and older the better...Wonderful labor of love.
I am just watching this one now. I am so moved by the beauty of this dining room! Like, I’m at a loss for proper descriptive adjectives! (And I’m rarely at a vocabulary loss!) And the LABOR! Oh, Kevin and Laine!!!!! Every inch, every color, every detail! Toooo many to list! This is a major work of art! Congratulations y’all!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Heroic job on the mantel, Laine. Definitely the best element. How anyone could have ever painted over that beautiful wood is beyond me. But maybe it protected it over the years?
I agree that it's gorgeous. The wainscoting is still period-appropriate, and the dark stained fireplace mantel and dish cabinet are perfect accents. It was all well worth the time and effort.
Incredible!!!! TIGER OAK MANTLE!!!! It's gorgeous!!!! The mantle's my fave, with the china cabinet a close second, and then of course the BEE wallpaper is just the cherry on top!!! Remarkable work, y'all!!
The original function of wainscoting was to protect the walls from being dented thru use by chairs, etc, as far as I know. Lovely to keep the little spindle corner details. Well done.
Beautiful room, my fav was the light and elegance the wainscoting brought to the room! But finishing the fireplace mantle and bringing back the wood to the hutch just made it gorgeous!
The Dining Room is an absolutely astounding achievement! You two should be so proud of yourselves! My favorite is how it has all come together to provide a beautiful and inviting space for entertaining guests for years to come. Fabulous!!!
I love the whole room, you guys have worked so hard on it. The paint removal on the mantel and china hutch was worth it and the wall paper suits the room beautifully. You have done a work of art and if anyone has ever done any refinishing we know what a labor of love it is. Lucky is the family who will enjoy it.
You guys were my favorite part of this room. I love how you are so honest about the work. My second favorite part is the wall paper. Absolutely stunning
I can't find a "favorite". Everything in a that room is beautiful, Everything just came together to make that room perfect. All the hard work payed off. That room is spectacular. I would give almost anything to have that room in my house!!! Well done!!!
It’s all my favorite! Just gorgeous and you can see how much work you guys put into that room. The people that bought this house are so very lucky! What a dream! ❤
The end result is my favorite! I wasn’t sure about the light originally but it works so beautifully with the wallpaper. The room looks like all the pieces were purchased to go together when the house was built to make an awe inspiring room!
It’s so beautiful I almost cried. To see something brought back to life and restored so magnificently, there are no words. Thanks for the inspiration. What a beautiful job, and the wallpaper is gorgeous.
The dining room is Amazing! I love it all! The light fixture, the China cabinet, the wainscoting! But the tiger oak mantle is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful room!
The murder mantle is magnificent! I just can't understand why anyone would paint and or wallpaper over the glass in the doors. The room is stunning. Love the wallpaper and those fixtures are 😍 Fantastic! ❤️❤️
The light fixture - Gasp! Worth the entire room. Sinful to paint that mantelpiece; thank you for putting forth the effort to restore its glory. Even those beautiful floors - sigh. My day is complete at 40:42.
I love how the attention to details make the room exceptionally well designed. The blue tiles coordinate with the blue background of the wallpaper. The color of the light fixture shades are repeated in the yellow flower bunches in the wallpaper. The stained wood of the China cabinet and mantle “warms” up the room (blue is a cool color). I love this room. Well done!
I absolutely ❤️ how you modernize in its true historical look. I've seen many attempts at restoring old homes, but they moderize them and they lose the true historical look that they should have. Beautiful work I can't say I like one thing over another because it all goes beautifully together.
I dunno, the tiger striping on that mantle is hella gorgeous. And I agree with Laine: it's worth a haunting of anyone is dumb enough to paint that oak again after all the work she did to bring it back. Stupendous, truly.
That mantel is absolutely stunning! All of your hard, HARD work paid off on that alone. And how you managed to find the perfect wallpaper to tie in the green and blue colors is amazing. I love it! I love it! I LOVE IT! ❤
When you love a room and a video so much that you have too many comments for it. I can't get over how truly stunning this is. The murder mantel is beyond words. The built in turned out so fantastic and the chandelier is just so beautiful. You've both pulled this room into a true work of art. And how perfect and cute is that wallpaper!?!
The dining room looks fantastic! The wallpaper flowers really compliment the light fixture. It was worth it to strip down the china cabinet and fireplace mantel as it breaks up all the white. Great job! 👍
I love it all but especially how the light fixture goes so well with the wallpaper and the wallpaper with the tiles. About 40 years ago I stripped multiple layers of paint from a large cast iron mantle. It took me a week and I appreciate how long it took you Laine!
the craftsman that made the mantle is smiling somewhere in the woodwork heaven. great job!
The blue tiles of the fireplace just pop with the tiger wood mantle. Looks so much better! Great Job!!!👍
I absolutely love the room. The labor that went into the mantle, the end result was perfection! I love the elegance the wainscoting brought in. The hutch stain looks perfect. I love love love the color.
It Turned Out Beautifully! I just think it has too many doors. Laine & Kevin are miracle workers! I'm sure that the original owner is smiling!
Those Eastlake thumb latches are the type of little detail that makes my day. Everything is stunning from the mantle to the china cabinet to the light fixture. I am so in love with that wallpaper with the little bees!

Absolute perfection in this room. The wallpaper choice could not have been better. Whoever designed that wallpaper, designed it just for you Laine!
Love the “King and I” reference. The wall paper is absolutely stunning. Standing back and looking at the love and heart put into your labor bring back the life of the wood covered for so many years in paint must be such a rewarding feeling . Congratulations!

Your care and attention to getting the fireplace and cabinet back to its beautiful wood is incredible. Everything looks stunning! I can't wait to see what magic you perform on the kitchen.
The amusing anecdotes told by the working class laborers are my favorite part of the room !!!!
“You are very difficult woman!” And just my kind of friend *smiles* Glad you are recovering, Laine!
The King and I! Loved the mantle. To find that wood grain under all that paint was amazing.
I think the wainscoting is perfect and period appropriate. What a labor! Simply elegant!
Laine and Kevin, I’m so awkward you’ll feel sauve in comparison :))
I love me an old house and am passionate about what I do, but I never knew how to explain it.
We ❤your goofiness. Why do you think we keep watching?

The mantle came alive after you took the paint off! Stunning room!
The shot with the hardware to transom and the wallpaper is what did it for me and the tiger wood was very special.
The built in hutch had the greatest transformation, ugly duckling to beautiful swan. The room looks fantastic!
Beautiful room. You truly can’t appreciate the beautiful wallpaper until you see it up close!
It’s beautiful! The wall paper is perfect for that light fixture. Looks amazing! Don’t feel bad about your social anxiety. I grew up in Natchez. It’s not you. It’s Natchez.
The mantel and the wallpaper are absolutely gorgeous! Kevin honestly seems like a super cool dude to kick it with
That mantle is to die for! Wait, maybe not to die for, but it's stunning ...😂
😂😂😂Good one
The dining room is STUNNING. Bravo to Laine for all of the hard work on the mantle and china cabinet … injuries and all! That lamp, wallpaper and wainscoting are just more finery for Pearl! ❤❤❤
What an amazing job! The china cabinet, the murder mantle, that wallpaper! The floors will be the icing on the cake.
My favorite thing in the diningroom is the wallpaper! ❤❤
You put sooo much work into this room, and the results are stunning. This house is beautiful, yet cozy and livable. I would love to live in one of your restored homes. Well done.

Please don't make me pick!! Every inch of this room is exquisite
Love many parts of the room, but for me the highlight is the ceiling fixture. It's amazing.
I believe the terminology you are looking for is a Knocked Up Noggin. That gorgeous Tiger Oak mantle gave you a knocked up noggin, but you prevailed!
The wallpaper choice is wonderful. It has a modern appeal, but the overall effect is very traditional.
I've never heard that expression before but it's so accurate!

You're wonderful just the way you are Laine. Kevin's and your abilities are amazing---revel in your accomplishments and good communication skills!
Boy, you really did a thing here didn't you! My favorite thing is the way it all pulls together to absolute perfection. LOVE it!

Beautiful I can't even pick a favorite. I can't wait to see it when the floors are done. I think it will be even more stunning than it is now
What an inspiration! The fireplace mantel is the star of the work show. The tiger oak is beautiful. Lovely!!
The King and I, Benner and Kerr. Love it.
The Dining Room is an absolutely astounding achievement! You two should be so proud of yourselves! My favorite is how it has all come together to provide a beautiful and inviting space for entertaining guests for years to come. Fabulous!!!
Gorgeous! My favorite thing is the realization of your vision that brings together each beautiful element through hard work. Absolutely amazing!
Love the way the wallpaper pulls all the different elements together. Spectacular job.
What do I like most about the dining room? The two people that transformed it! Second choice would have to be the mantle. Amazing transformation.
Thank you Jay!
I love the whole room, you guys have worked so hard on it. The paint removal on the mantel and china hutch was worth it and the wall paper suits the room beautifully. Laine, Sorry you were injured! 🌸 Battle Scars!
🌸 Wishing you well! 🌸
You guys were my favorite part of this room. I love how you are so honest about the work. My second favorite part is the wall paper. Absolutely stunning
I liked the tiger oak columns on the mantle.
My husband and I love your videos - we just purchased a home built in 1877 - we will be recording our journey- you two inspired us !
That is awesome! It’s really fun to look back when all the hard work is done.
Stunning work-all spectacular but returning the painted surface to its glory is FORMIDABLE!!!Ya’ll rock!
I can't find a "favorite". Everything in a that room is beautiful, Everything just came together to make that room perfect. All the hard work payed off. That room is spectacular. I would give almost anything to have that room in my house!!! Well done!!!

Everything in this room is amazing. Blue is my favorite. The wallpaper is beautiful. I wouldn't want to hang a picture over it. Good work.
The end result is my favorite! I wasn’t sure about the light originally but it works so beautifully with the wallpaper. The room looks like all the pieces were purchased to go together when the house was built to make an awe inspiring room!
One of the best wallpapers I have seen in a long time.
It’s so beautiful I almost cried. To see something brought back to life and restored so magnificently, there are no words. Thanks for the inspiration. What a beautiful job, and the wallpaper is gorgeous.
Even the shape of the light fixture seems to be mimicked in that wallpaper - it's like they were meant to be together. Just...wow, to all of it.
Perfection, exactly as restoration should be. Beautiful wallpaper 💙
The dining room is Amazing! I love it all! The light fixture, the China cabinet, the wainscoting! But the tiger oak mantle is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful room!
Oh thank you!

It is all perfection!! And, Laine, I don't find you to be awkward at all - love your "ramblings"
can't imagine painting over the mantel ......Excellent wall paper ! - love the stained wood that breaks up the painted panels -
I have died and gone to restoration heaven. GORGEOUS!!!!!!
Lane,
Bless you for saving the mantle… ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!
The whole room is amazing!!!! Love it al!...mantle, China cabinet, light fixture, wa ok paper and wainscoting!!!!! You knocked it out of the pa rk!!!!
The wallpaper is perfect for the room. The pattern even picks up the lines of the chandelier.
Wow, wow, wow! The wallpaper is perfection! Okay, the mantel is the best!
How can you possibly choose one favorite thing?? I just can't, please don't make me! It is all simply stunning!
Wow! The mantle is gorgeous. And what a lovely surprise with the china closet. I love the wallpaper. You must be so pleased.
I can't choose! The room is so beautiful; the natural woods, the fireplace tile, the light fixture, the wall paper. It's all just perfect! Bravo!
So much work! I hope the future owners appreciate how beautiful it is.
I love the mantel, the wallpaper and the light fixture. The wainscoting was a great idea. It is a beautiful room. Your hardwork was worth it.
The dining room looks fantastic! The wallpaper flowers really compliment the light fixture. It was worth it to strip down the china cabinet and fireplace mantel as it breaks up all the white. Great job! 👍
the mantle is stunning. So worth all those hours.
The room is going to be stunning when completed, I say floor being finished it is a beautiful room!!
Seriously? Seriously! My favorite part was the WHOLE room! Amazing work as usual.
I love the wallpaper and how the wood looks like, now then it's natural. Be careful, don't kill yourself 😉
I love it all but especially how the light fixture goes so well with the wallpaper and the wallpaper with the tiles. About 40 years ago I stripped multiple layers of paint from a large cast iron mantle. It took me a week and I appreciate how long it took you Laine!
Absolutely, perfectly, beautiful!!!! Like a garden, cottage dream!!!!
Goodness! You are a Saint for restoring that mantel! It is breathtaking! L💙VE it!!!
The wainscoting really adds elegance.
The Mantle and China Cabinet worth all the effort for sure makes the room. Love the light !
