Yes they do! In my dorm, the quads all have two small doubles connected with a small common room (there are about 4 quads on each floor). Other dorms have some different configurations and rooms with even up to 6 people, so there are definitely ones with common areas!!
I’m a freshman in high school and I’m really interested in going to Norte dame so I’m trying to work hard. I also play the saxophone and am really interested in college concert, jazz, and marching band. Does Norte dame have a good music program?
That's so awesome, you got this!! The band program has honestly been one of the best things about my college experience at ND, so I can't recommend it enough! The people are absolutely lovely and the directors of all the groups are so encouraging and talented! The marching band definitely requires the most hours out of your week (4-6 days/week), but the concert and jazz bands are usually 2 days/week, and hockey/basketball bands are 1-2 days/week (with flexibility). Being a part of the music program is definitely a lot of hard work, but it is also so incredibly fun and rewarding and you will absolutely will be glad you did it! The sax section specifically is also such a tight knit group and would LOVE to have you join in future years! The music program outside of the band program is also fantastic at ND and while I'm not personally involved too much in it, I have only heard great things! So glad to hear your interested in ND and music! Go Irish!:)
For your freshmen year you are assigned a random roommate in a random dorm but then after that you are allowed to switch roommates/dorms if you would like! This sounds kinda scary at first, but I seriously met my best friends through random roommates so it really does work out!
