Participating in my first ever track day presented a few challenges, but ultimately resulted in a satisfying outcome.
During the first sessions of the day I was having trouble with traffic which prevented me from having a clean lap and caused frustration and bad driving (from my side). The tires also came into contact with both sides and the top of the fenders, so together with the GripLimit team we attempted fender rolling and pulling in order to clear the side rubbing issue. Despite our efforts, the issue persisted during the following session, leading to a brief meeting during which we decided to lift the boot of the suspension by 0.5 cm. Fortunately, this decision finally fixed the problem.
However, in the following sessions we encountered another issue, this time with the anti-roll bar links, which required immediate attention in order to ensure proper function of the front suspension. Working together with the team, we promptly resolved this issue, allowing the car to perform at its full potential. With only one session remaining, I set out to achieve a perfect lap (although I fell short of this goal).
All things considered, I am really happy with the current setup, and plan to return to the beautiful Serres Racing Circuit in the near future to further improve my driving skills and achieve a new personal best lap time, ideally coming close to 1:34 flat.

Nice save at 1:29 Jesus! At what pressure were those AR-1's working best for you hot.
Haha thank you Nicholas! Unfortunately I didn't play with tire pressure as much as I wanted, but I had the best grip when I used them with 22-23 psi when cold, which went no higher than 30 psi when hot. Ideally they say that 27psi works best for AR-1's when hot.
The aggression is very nice to watch, but the only thing I can say is *relax* and just let the car do its thing. I think you may be able to find even more time by smoothing up your inputs. Nice driving, though! 👍
Thank you very much Joseph! Absolutely I agree 100%, focusing on making smooth inputs as a driver and improving my driving skills overall is a top priority for me now, I am more than satisfied with the current setup of the car and will work now on getting my driving better, which of course will come with more racing hours.
@@Kocacolas2001 Cool! I pointed to that because, honestly, all the rest of what you've got going on looks really sorted. The car doesn't seem to be doing anything errant in it's handling, and your lines look really great everywhere, too. I just noticed you had really abrupt application of the brakes and there was a lot of force in your shifts as well as some of your steering inputs. Just work on keeping a light touch on everything and it should come together. I picked up the habit from riding motorcycles, but I just do a quick shoulder shrug before I go on track as to kind of "set the stage" for keeping my body loose and at ease as to make sure I'm not tightening up anywhere. Maybe do something similar as a way to remind yourself to stay loose.
Thank you mate 🤟🏁
