Those of these aren't directly comparable to each other, one is something that has to do one's mental health, another more destructive, one glass of 250 wine for a teenager, not necessarily regarding the age, under authority and control of parents can be done once in a while. so there's a reason to why it's being done, but both aren't necessarily recommended for teenage use, both harm development of brain development, regardless of what it is, especially in teenage years, the brain doesn't develop until minimum of 25 years of age and even 30, so if a teenager once to do so either way, he should be given something of low potency with higher percentage of CBD so effects are more tolerable and desirable, but again, as i said, under control. Both of them can be harmful if done in excess and while disregarding boundaries.so a teenager doesn't unkowingly go into a coffeeshop and regard every weed as every strain is different and not every one of them is necessarily predictable, each one may have variable effects.
Regarding weed, a lot of money can be done regarding it and money can go towards positive things such as opening up schools and teaching pupils and children about harmful effects of either of substances, regardless of what it is, it includes adderal and bio chemistry level on sub molecular level without any propaganda against or for and based on scare tactics. so children don't necessarily get into a random school where problems such as whatever is considered as harmful such as bullying so they don't seek towards rationalizations and gearing towards false validations over cigarettes, alcohol, and be it anything, including weed, which in this place there's a corruption.

Just some additions to the information provided: The Weed Pass that was introduced into the provinces of Zeeland, North-Brabant and Limburg have been out of use for the past two years or so due to intense protest and the negative effects they had. They particularly caused a lot of street dealers to pop up, hence increasing the disturbance caused for communities, as Coffee Shops would often take great measures to prevent disturbances. Coffee Shops wont let in people under 18 years of age because if one kid was to get in and the police found out, it would legitimate reason for the county to shut down the business. Double controls are very common, although not implemented everywhere. Weed in the Netherlands is not smoked like in other countries. Where other coutries it is normal to smoke pure weed, in the Netherlands it is common practice to mix it with tobacco, so while the weed in the Netherlands is often stronger, it is also mixed to make it less potent. Weed usage in the Netherlands is around 7% (which is on par with the EU average) while the United States has a regular usage rate of around 13.7% (numbers from 2009, UN World Drug Report) It is allowed to grow up to 5 weed plants for private consumption, but it is not allowed to sell it. But you are allowed to sell it, if you dont grow it. This is the cause of much confusion that people have in the video, as it is not easily explained how this situation came to be.

Azivegu lol what countries were they from? I know that all Europeans, well at least English, German, Dutch and all Eastern Europeans smoke spliffs with weed and tobacco. It might be different in other parts of the world though :)
That's weird because I'm Polish, I study in England and I have met a lot of people from other countries as well. Polish, English or people from other countries only smoke pure weed when smoking a pipe or hitting a bong. Everybody adds tobacco when rolling a spliff though.
Now it's in 10 states, Cali, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, Michigan, Vermont, Massachusetts and Maine. Almost all these states allow 1oz or more, with usually more than 5 plants allowed per person. The dutch, and most of Europe, are behind the U.S. now.
Making it illegal increases illegal activities. At the same time Netherlands is a hub for weed users around the world, i'm pretty sure that they were not conducting themselves responsibly on multiple occasions and helped create the backlash attitude that the Government there currently has. If everyone would have just chilled out and accepted the fact they had it good, i mean really good then the practice would have continued unmolested. I'm angry at both sides because this doesn't help to legalize weed, it makes it look bad.
OtherM112594 Over here in the Netherlands, I'm smoking one too. Nothing has changed, weed is in the eye of the lobbies and it's getting pushed around a bit but it will always stay in Amsterdam.

It's not 100% accurate. Yes it's true that coffeeshops within 250 meters of schools has to shut down but that was a new law that was introduced years ago. The weed pass law has been reversed. No weed pass is required to buy weed within the Netherlands. Please vice, don't scare people off with lies. All the other things are the same as they were.
Of course there are some points that I do kinda agree with but simply banning the use of cannabis is useless cause people from all over like here in Britain will still go to Amsterdam nevertheless
now 2018 The new government will allow legal weed to be distributed in a number of municipalities. The government cannabis is cultivated nationally and then distributed among six to ten municipalities. It is a test to see whether legal cultivation decreases crime and the weed can contain fewer harmful substances.
You'd think at some point the police would have to reflect and ask themselves, 'why was it necessary for my partner and I to completely destroy someone's property over a plant?'. Police, while brave and helpful, seem to have some type of disconnect which prevents them from questioning their pointless, yet damaging tyrannical behavior.
arizonatsunami It's quite sad how the country is moving in the opposite direction of what seems to be a now worldwide trend. It does indeed cause problems when people from all over Europe flood Amsterdam and the border zones of the country, but the problem is exactly the opposite. Europe should liberalize, instead of pushing the Netherlands to become more conservative.
Good luck with the tourist industry. Holland's Liberalism is what keeps it a top destination.Perhaps, the Government could take real control and limit the strength of the weed and then the major argument against it is gone. No more political blushes.
actually we call what you might call republican liberal, the VVD, our biggest party is one of the most liberal parties in The Netherlands. I find it weird how they overlooked all the profits and the government not getting in the way of freedom too much on this subject, but I guess conservatism is getting the better of them
This is one vice post that hits a chord. This summer I went to Amsterdam for the first time, and as a avid believer in the unjust reputation forced of this plant was in my element for being able to legally enjoy what is honestly my favorite form of relaxation. The drug argument aside, the governments actions against the cannabis community in Amsterdam and indeed the rest of the Netherlands will only cause more harm then good, the only evidence to look at is the example of the USA's war on drugs. It sadness's me to see some of the Coffee shops (the high times one being the first one i ever went into, great buds btw) being closed down due to the narrow mindedness of the current politicians. My full praise for the mayor for not bowing down to government pressure and retaining (if not all) the power to allow this practice to continue. Roll on next year for my next visit to the city :D
I remember when I was younger in the early 2000s I had always wanted to visit Amsterdam for their cannabis shops. Oh well, Denver has better scenery and is way cheaper for me. It is pretty sad seeing Netherlands cracking down so hard.

Here in the states, more and more states are putting serious thoughts into (at the very least) decriminalizing weed in small amounts and/or medical purposes. And here Amsterdam is decriminalizing it. The roles are switched.
What I find as funny in this, is that this stinks of US involvement, which is the very country, my country, that said cannabis ought to be illegal to start with. Now, several of the US states have told Uncle Sam to go get smoked, and those states are showing their state authority over the fed. The US is the worst country for saying any drug, natural or not, is illegal, especially if it can cause any euphoric effect. They tried it with alcohol, and the people rebelled, which created much of the organized crime that is here, now. It took a constitutional amendment to create prohibition, and another to douche it down the drain. All that, over a bunch of prudish old bible-thumping women, who didn't like the fact, that their husbands had to get tanked, in order to find them attractive. Remember the Church Lady on SNL? That actually is what happened. After what the US forced Sweden to do, with those running certain websites, it is as plain as the nose on ones face, as to who is stirring the pot. All pun intended. The Netherlands and Sweden need to tell the US, Brits, and Germans to go drown in the sea.
***** The torrent website, Pirate Bay, was there at one time under another ISP, and still exists, but I don't know what ISP carries them now. The US tried to bully them over copyright infringement, and they finally did somewhat succeed, but not after a lengthy court battle. It was the ISPs, who were hosting Pirate Bay that they went after. "Several other torrent related sites including EZTV, Zoink, Torrage and the Istole tracker were also shut down in addition to The Pirate Bay's forum Suprbay.org. "On 19 May 2015, the .se domain of The Pirate Bay was ordered to be seized following a ruling by a Swedish court.[36][37] The site reacted by adding six new domains in its place.[38][39] The judgment was appealed on 26 May 2015.[40] On 12 May 2016 the appeal was struck down and the Court ruled the domains be turned over to the Swedish state.[41][42] The site returned to using its original .org domain in May 2016." also, www.thelocal.se/20151127/swedish-court-we-cannot-ban-pirate-bay
I never knew the Amsterdam weed scene was that hush hush and restricted. Agents dropping off boxes of weed then disappearing? Not allowed to grow it, or buy it in bulk for redistribution? It just sounds like a weed cafe in Toronto's Kensington Market.
I don't know what's wrong with the Netherland government man . As long as people are smoking natural green , bud , it doesn't seem to involve an issue , oh and this is how synthetic weed could be stop from coming out in the markets . Synthetic weed kills you man.
The government here in the Netherlands has a very weird and hypocritical system. Weed can be sold, but it can't be grown. I do understand why they keep it this way though. Our surrounding countries' governments are already unhappy about all the cannabis being exported out of our country. If we legalize it completely they won't be happy (even though it wouldn't change much about the amount exported).
Beceause our Gov is fucked up. We need to pay tax for everything our tax is getting higher and higher. I life in Netherlands and the Politic site is 1 shithole.
Need some help! The Track in 7:00 in the background, what is it called again? Shit man it was popular in the 90's but I totally forgot it's name :o thanks for any help!
Hmm, in case it was unclear: the artist's name is Manu Chao, the album is called "Clandestino". I don't remember which exact track from the album it is, but that should be easy to find out.
Last year me and a group of friends were strolling around Amsterdam. One had a beer, one was taking a piss, and the rest of us were smoking. The cops came by and gave a ticket to the guy pissing, told the guy with the beer to toss it in the trash, but the rest of us kept smoking in front of them while having a conversation with them. Super nice people
It's a shame, because if you ask me, the biggest reason to legalize weed, is so that it can be legally grown and sold, so that you're taking control away from the local gangs, or any other criminals.
I agree completely, its such a beautiful city and being able to smoke weed is almost meaningless in the whole scope of things. its like people people who go to Ireland just to get drunk in a different pub every night, you can do that anywhere, if thats your main goal then youre really missing out.
for all the people watching this, I´m from the netherlands you guys can come over and have nice time while smoking weed, I´ve seen French, Germans, Belgians and many more nationalities come in and buy weed. that weed pas is gone(it was gone after 2 months) and only a couple shops will not sell you any, just go to a different shop and buy from there
Marijuana should be legalized worldwide in my opinion. It's really a joke at this point just goes to show how much power big pharma companies have over the governments.
Calls ganja junk yet bet he drinks alcohol. Would rather smoke weed and feel elevated than drink beer and feel bloated and loose control of basic motor functions.
I guess the Europeans will have to fly to Alaska, Washington, Oregon or Colorado now....Europe goes backwards, America goes forwards....the world is upside down.
i think its sickening people have the cheek to tell others what they can and can't do in their own lives....if human beings want to consume a natural plant then more power to them.
As a Dutchman, I really think they should have added subtitles. His accent is really strong and I'm pretty sure it's not easy to understand for a person who isn't familiar with the Dutch accent.
It's so weird to watch a country that has been the pinnacle of cannabis greatness since I got involved more than 20 years ago move rapidly backwards as the rest of the world moves forward on cannabis. It's temporary though...saner minds will prevail eventually. But the sign is clear: Colorado is the CLEAR leader in the cannabis movement and that isn't going to change.
I loved my trip to amsterdam, Will never go there again if they ban this integral part of the culture. What, you can just get fucked up on alcohol and not get enlightened on cannabis? What a horrible, depressing, backwards, cowardly position the government of Netherlands is seeking.

there is more weed being grown and smoked in wales than anywhere in Holland,i know because,i lived practically 2 hours away from Holland, now i am back home in wales, there isn't a single person that don't smoke weed, there are weed bags all over the streets, people sell it in every street, grow it in every room, even kids grow and smoke it here,i get about ten people nock my door everyday to sell it to me,cheese, kush etc, list is huge and these kids are outgrowing the rest of Europe, the strains are much stronger than Amsterdam, the quality is better too and wales is by far a cheap place, maybe not the cheapest but put it this way in Cardiff you don't look for weed,it finds you
It' ironic the the USA, the country that first pushed for criminalization in 1937 and launched 'The War on Drugs' in 1972, now has several States where it's legal and regulated...and keeps moving forward...Kudos to you.
This is a good report though a little confusing. The coffee shops are still open to tourists. Though there are less then perhaps five years ago.I feel so bad for person who is losing their business. Please hope for the best in America on Monday. Legal in D.C? That may change some things. Look forward to seeing the results.

***** (I can't reply to your comment, so I'll answer here) The ones putting pressure on the government to keep marijuana illegal (it still is illegal) are our surrounding countries. They don't want weed to be imported into their countries. Our government itself plays a big part too. It's a big risk for a politician to be pro-drugs, even in the Netherlands.
I would bet that numerous cities in America were more liberal when it comes to weed than Amsterdam, they just get restrained by the state or federal governments. San Francisco/Oakland, Seattle, Portland, Austin, Denver, possibly New York, LA, and Boston as well. But they can't do anything about it (except Seattle and Denver) because the states as a whole are more conservative than the cities, which apparently is not the case in the Netherlands.
Here's the ONE example where the State will reject a huge influx of money, if that would mean giving up Police Powers. They'd rather criminalize weed again, and lose huge income- and sales tax on weed, than cut police numbers and powers.
NETHERLANDS Dont do this please ! I dont smoke weed but I believe we need the freedom to choose to do it or not. That is your greatest strength, the freedom to choose.

The dutch, and most of Europe, are behind the U.S. now.
or Michigan or half of all US states now that have legalized marijuana completely lol
Great for America. Now the tourist will come with their Euros to Colorado and Washington.
Exactly! Good for the US economy.
And if OR and CA legalized, you'd have the whole west coast as a weed mecca to go to.
The fact that weed is legal in the US is nowhere near a good enough reason to go there! I can't actually think of one.
paulogoddardo1985
Where do you live?
Finally after all those Eurotrippers, it's time for TrippiMERICUH :D
Making it illegal increases illegal activities. At the same time Netherlands is a hub for weed users around the world, i'm pretty sure that they were not conducting themselves responsibly on multiple occasions and helped create the backlash attitude that the Government there currently has. If everyone would have just chilled out and accepted the fact they had it good, i mean really good then the practice would have continued unmolested. I'm angry at both sides because this doesn't help to legalize weed, it makes it look bad.
Interesting. Meanwhile here in the States, Im smoking a bowl this very moment. While taking a shit.
And commenting on youtube :)
TojoFreestyles Yeah if I used the same hand I wipe my ass with.
The country of freedom!
You enjoy that while it lasts. Don't get me wrong I hope it does, but we've got right wing whack jobs for days here in the states.
OtherM112594 Over here in the Netherlands, I'm smoking one too. Nothing has changed, weed is in the eye of the lobbies and it's getting pushed around a bit but it will always stay in Amsterdam.
I just got back from dam, and I am shocked at how bad the coffee shop sector is suffering. Most shops are closing and weed is stupid expensive
Govt and people not standing up for anything
It's sad that they are going backwards on this issue.
Once the tourism level drops greatly in The Netherlands, they'll realize what a mistake it was to go on with this.
"Very unhealthy" unlike the free flowing alcohol that they seem to have no problem serving to minors across Europe.
Have to be 21 for alcohol
why is this doc so short? needs to be much longer and more detailed!!!
Every topic, every person, every angle from this particular doco is very interesting.
Please make a second part to this doco and topic.
I'd love to hear their logic as to why replacing a coffee shop near a school with a bar is acceptable.
Conservatism
You think you would love it
You might find yourself mistaken.
Its control for population regulation of the wtradeorganization also forms for ppl control and minimal free thought/diversity everyone is generic i too wish too eventually adopt this mentality and make sure that in my lifetime i dream only to make up the numbers. Free thought and expression abolish human rights
I'm Dutch and this saddens me deeply.
Of course there are some points that I do kinda agree with but simply banning the use of cannabis is useless cause people from all over like here in Britain will still go to Amsterdam nevertheless
I am dutch but i don't get why all of you are angry drugs should be banned they do no good
now 2018
The new government will allow legal weed to be distributed in a number of municipalities.
Once they banned weed in Netherlands the touring will down 75%
This opened up the eyes of a former NL citizen. Great Documentary!
Wow, for the first time in forever I get to ask "When will the Dutch catch up to the liberal policies of the U.S?" haha
arizonatsunami It's quite sad how the country is moving in the opposite direction of what seems to be a now worldwide trend. It does indeed cause problems when people from all over Europe flood Amsterdam and the border zones of the country, but the problem is exactly the opposite. Europe should liberalize, instead of pushing the Netherlands to become more conservative.
+Amozmusicmaker exactly
as a dutchmen, i hate the accents :/

they mix 2 languages together lol
"Hello ik am peter i com from die nethurlands and i reelly like chese...." uugh i hate how some people are SO BAD at english it is so easy (im dutch)
Whahaha, "because they are under THE 18". Ik kon mn lach niet binnenhouden
I find it weird how they overlooked all the profits and the government not getting in the way of freedom too much on this subject, but I guess conservatism is getting the better of them
THAT'S FINE!!! WE'LL TAKE ON THEIR TOURIST INDUSTRY OVER HERE IN COLORADO!!! ;)
But that's almost the other side of the planet!
Ebb0Productions You would be rather surprised at the number of tourists we are seeing from Europe over the last year or so.
After watching this video I think I understand why a little better.
Don't you have to have a med card though ?
Nope
Yeah believe your own lies hahahahaha, smoking is here is zo different compared to the us. So much better
You call that junk ??? that shit saved me

not a smart move!!! booze is way worse!!!
*****
The torrent website, Pirate Bay, was there at one time under another ISP, and still exists, but I don't know what ISP carries them now.
"On 19 May 2015, the .se domain of The Pirate Bay was ordered to be seized following a ruling by a Swedish court.[36][37] The site reacted by adding six new domains in its place.[38][39] The judgment was appealed on 26 May 2015.[40] On 12 May 2016 the appeal was struck down and the Court ruled the domains be turned over to the Swedish state.[41][42] The site returned to using its original .org domain in May 2016."

I never knew the Amsterdam weed scene was that hush hush and restricted. Agents dropping off boxes of weed then disappearing? Not allowed to grow it, or buy it in bulk for redistribution? It just sounds like a weed cafe in Toronto's Kensington Market.
Netherlands is going one way on weed and USA goes another.
back when vice did real unbiased investigative journalism
The weed pass is gone, so yall can come back and smoke with us!
Brock Lock yaaay 🙄🙄🙄
Soon my friend :)
I don't know what's wrong with the Netherland government man . As long as people are smoking natural green , bud , it doesn't seem to involve an issue , oh and this is how synthetic weed could be stop from coming out in the markets . Synthetic weed kills you man.
I SUPPORT MARIJUANA LEAGALIZATION
zelfde achternaam
The government here in the Netherlands has a very weird and hypocritical system. Weed can be sold, but it can't be grown.
I do understand why they keep it this way though. Our surrounding countries' governments are already unhappy about all the cannabis being exported out of our country. If we legalize it completely they won't be happy (even though it wouldn't change much about the amount exported).
Just when the USA is starting to change Amsterdam is going backwards? The fuck?
Beceause our Gov is fucked up. We need to pay tax for everything our tax is getting higher and higher. I life in Netherlands and the Politic site is 1 shithole.
As a dutch person I'm sad about the fact that EVEN America legalized it (in some states) earlier than holland...
Wait, they are trying to shut down the weed market? 😂😂 Look how tourism drops to 0
Need some help! The Track in 7:00 in the background, what is it called again? Shit man it was popular in the 90's but I totally forgot it's name :o thanks for any help!
Manu Chao, from "Clandestino".
Mhhh probably same artist but different song :( thank you very much though
Hmm, in case it was unclear: the artist's name is Manu Chao, the album is called "Clandestino". I don't remember which exact track from the album it is, but that should be easy to find out.
haha, Jaap sounds like Goldmember.
_Shmoke and a Pancake?_
I'm sick and tired of Marijuana being Illegal, FREE MARIJUANA
I'm only going to Amsterdam for weed. lol its sad but the truth. i dont think in alone. they can say goodbye to alot of tourists if they do it
+Zox Sonic haha i live in the Netherlands XD, smoke in front of the police
+shay wolleswinkel what would happen?
+Zox Sonic nothing, really nothing
Last year me and a group of friends were strolling around Amsterdam. One had a beer, one was taking a piss, and the rest of us were smoking. The cops came by and gave a ticket to the guy pissing, told the guy with the beer to toss it in the trash, but the rest of us kept smoking in front of them while having a conversation with them. Super nice people
I hope u go away stupit junkies in are citys
It's a shame, because if you ask me, the biggest reason to legalize weed, is so that it can be legally grown and sold, so that you're taking control away from the local gangs, or any other criminals.
Weed is overrated and just stupid. People should visit Amsterdam to see the sights, not get high.
I agree completely, its such a beautiful city and being able to smoke weed is almost meaningless in the whole scope of things. its like people people who go to Ireland just to get drunk in a different pub every night, you can do that anywhere, if thats your main goal then youre really missing out.
Amsterdam is niks vergeleken met andere steden in de wereld.
Literally the only reason I would go to Amsterdam is for weed.
James T Well thats a shame
People should visit for whatever reasons they want to visit for, not what you tell them to go for.
for all the people watching this, I´m from the netherlands
you guys can come over and have nice time while smoking weed,
I´ve seen French, Germans, Belgians and many more nationalities come in and buy weed.
that weed pas is gone(it was gone after 2 months) and only a couple shops will not
sell you any, just go to a different shop and buy from there
Come to Colorado. You can buy all buds, handguns, craft beer, and fireworks you want.
A place where human rights exist!? Sounds like heaven!
lol that doesn't sound like a good combination of items
Josh Lysergic Everything in moderation :)
You should also adress one of the most recent changes which limits the strength of weed sold by shops.
Lekker warm he yeah smells good
Hahahaha zo hard om gelachen he
Marijuana should be legalized worldwide in my opinion. It's really a joke at this point just goes to show how much power big pharma companies have over the governments.
Calls ganja junk yet bet he drinks alcohol. Would rather smoke weed and feel elevated than drink beer and feel bloated and loose control of basic motor functions.
BIG FACTS
Crazy. For the longest time Amsterdam was considered the weed capital because of how relaxed the laws were, now this. Hope they get their rights back.
I guess the Europeans will have to fly to Alaska, Washington, Oregon or Colorado now....Europe goes backwards, America goes forwards....the world is upside down.
taebaek Our health care system in the Netherlands is also getting privatized more and more, while you have Obama-care now, LOL. Funny how irony works.
ML8593wy Amen.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I guess il be needed a ticket to Denver instead of Amsterdam soon
Does anything change in Netherlands since then until now?
I think it's pretty sickening how people publicly endorse weed smoking.
what the fuck is sickening about it?
i think its sickening people have the cheek to tell others what they can and can't do in their own lives....if human beings want to consume a natural plant then more power to them.
YoungerBrother Wakeup It's yet another stupid thing teens would grow up to look forward to ruining their lives with.
ooharh _ I never said they shouldn't. 10/10 for entirely missing my point, dumbass.
Obvious troll. I think its sickening when grown men have pictures of little girl toys as avatar.
Your turn.
you guys gotta make more of these kind of docs!
I loved my trip to amsterdam,
Will never go there again if they ban this integral part of the culture. What, you can just get fucked up on alcohol and not get enlightened on cannabis? What a horrible, depressing, backwards, cowardly position the government of Netherlands is seeking.
Washington State and Colorado are now far more liberal then Holland. That's crazy :(
Drives 20 minutes to Denver, gets bud, lights joint and watches video*
one of the new rules this year is that anyone who helps the grow process till the deliverance to the shop is now a criminal ...
hey uhm somebody please please tell me ım so confused on 6:37 he says ''Coffe Shops have to buy in a fully illegal market''
so the coffe shops ı mean the owners or whatever has to buy illegaly?? but howw??? please answer ım so confused
Governments are afraid of weed u know why? Because it makes u think and question reality and the system
Good joke
The guy in the thumbnail just looks soooo Dutch.
there is more weed being grown and smoked in wales than anywhere in Holland,i know because,i lived practically 2 hours away from Holland, now i am back home in wales, there isn't a single person that don't smoke weed, there are weed bags all over the streets, people sell it in every street, grow it in every room, even kids grow and smoke it here,i get about ten people nock my door everyday to sell it to me,cheese, kush etc, list is huge and these kids are outgrowing the rest of Europe, the strains are much stronger than Amsterdam, the quality is better too and wales is by far a cheap place, maybe not the cheapest but put it this way in Cardiff you don't look for weed,it finds you
Wow it's sad to hear this. How could they just change their mind. Who is saying this is a bad thing in the country?
This is really awful!I hope you get a better government soon!
I think it's funny and sad how everyone in the U.S. thinks pot/marijuana is legal in Holland/Amsterdam.
I would like to see how crime increases in relation to the (assumed) increase in alcohol consumption. I hope someone tracks this.
It' ironic the the USA, the country that first pushed for criminalization in 1937 and launched 'The War on Drugs' in 1972, now has several States where it's legal and regulated...and keeps moving forward...Kudos to you.
what song is playing in the background at about 7:05 when there in the coffee shop
It's amazing that the US is actually more progressive than all of Europe on this issue. Usually we are the last to make progress in every way
This is a good report though a little confusing. The coffee shops are still open to tourists. Though there are less then perhaps five years ago.I feel so bad for person who is losing their business. Please hope for the best in America on Monday. Legal in D.C? That may change some things. Look forward to seeing the results.
Ppl are only allowed to purchase 5g from a coffee shop, pause at 4:55 the monitor has a special for 100g for £1100, and he wonders why he got shut down? Their are probably many reason he got shut down the school being close by was just for the paperwork
The Dutch gov't is missing out on the action. Imagine putting taxing legal weed! Holy craps the govt would be rich!
7:50 What is in the bag?
"But the torch of green enlightenment has long passed across the ocean."
I like that. Keep passing that green enlightenment..
I thought skip bayless was on the thumbnail
They are closing the cannabis coffee shops near the school, but they're allowing the one that started selling alcohol instead??! WTF?!
The system isnt made for us to win
I would bet that numerous cities in America were more liberal when it comes to weed than Amsterdam, they just get restrained by the state or federal governments. San Francisco/Oakland, Seattle, Portland, Austin, Denver, possibly New York, LA, and Boston as well. But they can't do anything about it (except Seattle and Denver) because the states as a whole are more conservative than the cities, which apparently is not the case in the Netherlands.
whats the name of the song played at 6:58?
Governments around the world controlled by the old is to blame
Tourists shouldn't try to smuggle it to their own countries, ruining it for everyone else.
Here's the ONE example where the State will reject a huge influx of money, if that would mean giving up Police Powers. They'd rather criminalize weed again, and lose huge income- and sales tax on weed, than cut police numbers and powers.
