I would never go into a place without permission. Not even to just record and take nothing. Without permission, I'm out.
I was a Realtor for most of my adult life and specialized in foreclosed homes around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. These were mostly long abandoned and I was allowed to take whatever I wanted before the clean outs. Seeing the video was like old home week (pun intended). Came home with many a car load. Been retired from that for about 15 years and still am putting up items on EBay.
It's shocking how much stuff ends up in dumps all over the US.

That military photo - I know that here we have a Veterans building with tons of pictures - if you have something like that they may be interested in displaying the photo for everyone to see

Wow, I would have a hard time leaving things. It would be so hard for me to not become a hoarder thinking that "someday I may need this"
I hate the thought of so much going to waste. But you literally can't take it all.
That's how I got started in Ebay - with an abandoned house that I had permission and encouragement to pick. I brought home cleaning products to use and sold most of it on Ebay. I think too, it's being a good steward to try to keep as much out of the dump as possible. For a mask with mice or bird issues, please get and use an N-95. The surgical mask won't hurt, but it also won't help much (my day job is as an RN).
I have a quality cartridge-style mask and wasn't forward thinking enough to bring it. I need to do better.
This is good because alot of these can rot and end up in a landfill which isnt good. Many stuff from goodwill even ends up being thrown out if shelves become too full. Ive seen it.

Arizona gal here and we have snakes but NOT in our houses! I'm not a wuss but for crying out loud ya couldn't pay me enough to sort the stuff in piles on the floor. 😳😱 No way.

Decades ago my parents sold the farm & house where I grew up in central Texas. The new owner left it to rot. Last year neighbors who live a couple hundred yards away started finding more and more rattlesnakes on their property. They hired a snake handler to enter my old overgrown, rundown house. He caught over 80 rattlesnakes that were living inside it!

The Point Blank box in the closet is for body armor.
Most of the boxes didn't have in them what they did originally. I've had some Point Blank things before. And this guy was a police officer, so body armor makes sense

Loved this video mate, more please. Two of my favourite video subjects coming together (urbex & ebay reselling). Unfortunate about the aviary and smoke residue in the house. He must have been used to that smell 😧
I hate to say it, but after about 3 hours there, I couldn't smell it either. Which is kind of scary.

This was absolutely fascinating to watch. Don't quite know how to make connections in my area. I'm retiring in 2 months and thinking about contacting the owner of a local auction house to see if that is a possibility. Love your videos. I always learn something new. 🙂.
Tell friends and family. Make up and give out business cards. You never know who will know of a situation like this.
You might try talking to some real estate agents. Maybe contact some of the home clearing businesses. It definitely takes time.

Spray and wash and throw it in the washer. Gentle cycle. I turn on the extra soak time and double rinse. Came out pretty decent. I'll leave any heroic efforts to get it cleaned up to the eventual buyer.

Could you please do a video about the fact that I have hundreds of items that eBay has put into " add recommended items specific". It's almost everything I have posted they have stuck in this category wanting me to revise things that I don't want to revise for instance if it doesn't have a character. No my clothes don't have a character. I don't understand if they are really holding my items back because I haven't filled out every single little thing so they stick this stigma on it that it needs revised. They also have me in a bad performance mode and refused to take me out of it and this way they make more money on everything that I sell keeping me in poor sellers performance. Nothing I do can get me out of it no matter how many things I post and try I'm beginning to think it's all a big scam. If they keep you in poor performance they make a lot more money
If I can work it into a video, I'll try and touch on Item Specifics. Bottom line, not filling out the "Recommended Item Specifics" doesn't hold you back unless you are missing relevant information that buyers are looking for. These recommendations are useless if they don't actually apply to you item. They are the biggest waste of time on the eBay platform.
Any poor performance rating wouldn't be related to these item specifics. It has to come from either shipping late, poor ratings from customers or something similar.
I have 100% customer satisfaction a few items and return their money in full items that had a flaw that I couldn't have seen if I tried. They did this to me back in November and told me I would be out of jail in January and because I had one more item come back they've kept me there. I will be glad to email you the report it's beyond ridiculous. I had a coffee cup handle come off when I was washing it getting it ready to ship.

Sad that families don't care about property when their elderly family member passed away..
I think it just gets overwhelming. In this house, they took all the family photos and the furniture. They took a lot of the personal stuff. I feel like this house the family tried. I've had others where it all just got left behind.

I don't think you actually watched the video and listened to what I said. I talked about it twice. I have friends that buy derelict houses. They hated the idea of throwing everything out. So, they invite me to look and save what I can. I pay them some, I sell some, and I donate everything I can.
@@TheChaChingKing oh my apologies, it was late at night when I watching and was drifting in and out of sleep, and woke up to you going thru abandoned houses... your video was in an algorithm recommended list with other's similar vids, who were definitely rummaging in abandoned houses without permission, as it has be becoming more popular for views for influencers. Glad you are one of the honest ones.

@@TheChaChingKing just be careful doing that even with permission, because there can be dangerous squaters in there on drugs with weapons, and neighbors can call police and police often shoot first now...or taze...watch out..or the desperate original owner could be hiding out in there protecting their hoard...???
