That flying boxcar use to be out front where the c-130 is now on display,we use to buy a case of beer and break in and sit in the pilots seats and drink on Saturday nights 2MAPS back in 1980. I also went to silo374 next day after the explosion with a tractor trailer with equipment for the clean up. My DOS was October 1980 from the base..
Damn that’s cool, wish I would’ve checked out the aircraft more when I lived there I love that stuff, artillery park at fort sill is one of the most amazing military weapons on display I might’ve ever seen, they’ve got captured and our artillery from all the wars and time periods, the atomic cannon used to fire nuclear artillery shells is there too with pieces of the shell if I remember correctly. Along with full size air defense missiles and even the ones that used to have nukes in them for enemy bombers, it’s like 5 stories tall
