Wow, I just came across this interview with Taj Farrant #TajFarrant. I agree he is phenomenal. Fun jam session with Michael. Thank you so much! It is always a pleasant surprise to see who shows up on the Normans Rare Guitars podcast. Norm will love this one. So much fun watching the jam sessions with greats like Joe Bonamassa, the several interviews with Joe, then that special fun session Joe with Josh Smith, Kirk Fletcher inviting Peter Dankelson to the jam. So cool!!! I love it!!! It is so exciting to get to see this "kid" (old soul) growing (litlerlly, emotionally and musically). I am just blown away with his talent and great personality, and fantastic parents, and great sister, a drumming phenom. Thanks to Norm and his staff for these great epic interviews. Blessings!
I agree i used to listen over and over and or watch live performance to learn songs and such. Chord books and things like that. Now its tabs at your fingertips,loopers,UA-cam. I will say talent is needed and my respect to everyone who practices and doesn't give up.
Wow just hard to understand how you can be so good so young Thanks Norm for providing the platform for this kind of inspiring performance. Michael you are a wonderful host and always make your guests shine Bless You
Since I've been following Taj, I've watched him grow from 9yrs - currently today 13yrs and let me tell you, every stage he's stepped on becomes the most entertaining stage possible! When he was 10 he was on AGT playing Purple Rain by Prince and played it just as well, if not better than Prince! One of the judges knew Prince and told Taj, Prince would've been proud!!! I love this young man!!!
I'm a 65 year old woman from BC Canada and I am amazed by Taj. He is also a well grounded young man. Good on his family. I hope he can come up to Vancouver BC.
Lemmo, One great talent supporting another. Taj is the kinda kid that will never forget you and this moment. Two super talents that I thoroughly enjoy!
Love this! I remember his first visit. This kid has already come SO far - he’s amazing now and is gonna be a super sick player as an adult! I also love his wardrobe and hair style. 😱😉🤩
A 13 y/o kid with that much sole and talent is just amazing 😎🎸🎵🎸🎶👏👏👏👏 o yeah, that lemmo guy is pretty damn amazing himself😎 much love from Colorado lemmo!
Yea!!!!!! It’s so cool that all these guitarists are just playing the same stuff from 50 years ago over and over again and not coming up with anything new or different. I mean it would have been so cool if Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix would have just kept playing what the guitarists from the 30s and 40s played. That stuff would still be alive and we wouldn’t have had to listen to all that crap from Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen.
Brilliant, Taj is a virtuoso can play ANYTHING! Been following him about 3 or 4 years now and he's just a mind-blowing talent! Will possibly be the greatest of all time if he carries on as he is, he's already right up there with the best in his playing straight from the heart he's got feeling and technique.. the way he interprets SRV, Hendrix and Gary Moore, with his own spin and little nuances already is incredible! He's got all the tricks down aswell.. brilliant kid! Some great footage of him playing live with Orianthi and also Santana when he was 10, just amazing to watch well worth checking out and his UA-cam channel! Cheers from London England 👍😎🏴
I thought Taj was in his teens back then. Man, he was only 10 and tearing it up ! There's a VG issue i like a lot, Oct '17,,,,LP's, one bit, two LP GT Deluxes bought in '69. One, a workhorse. Barry Baily from ARS (RIP), Worn but not worn out. Used for every thing. The other Jeff Carlisi from 38 Special. Just used in the studio (had an Exp knock off used used on tour) Its like new. my point is, early on in the mag is an ad from Chicago Music Exchange saying "The Electric Guitar Is Dead" remember those days? Caption below, "Come on. When you put in seven decades on the road .....you don't go down that easily" Ahem ;) Taj is a great example of how the guitar still Kicks ass !!
look at him being all pro and NOT noodling at all while lemmo is talking! 🤘(thinking of poor Angela having slide played over her while she's talking...) impressive restraint. you could hear the maturity in the playing as well IMO.

Top little tune / riff and change , if that was just a jam , get it down or I’m nicking it ASAP , great tone , lovely feel , 13 years old , little git (obviously that’s a joke , before I get called out for being a c**t , can’t help that I was born a c**t) !!! Very cool Taj , hope that’s your real name too , you got it all kidder 😎
OMG this kid is phenomenal! If he's this good now, just imagine in another 10 years .. and he'll only be 23. He's gonna go places.
Let’s hope that for his sake that he does.. and is happy… The music biz can tear ya up..!😩🙏🏻❤️
@@joeurbanowski321 Right now Tajy is on his 2nd U.S.A tour and doing great, Very proud of him

Taj is a savant! I’ve been following him for over a year and really want him to go faaaaaaar cuz he has the talent part down
No disrespect intended toward the kid whatsoever…but let’s not get carried away. Savant?
@Sanger TX This kid was killing it on guitar when he was 8 yo

Think about how good you could have been if you had UA-cam
They can learn much faster alone than we could have ever dreamed before this website existed

Amazing duo that play well together. Lemmo’s style fits into the young man’s way of playing.
Lemmo,
One great talent supporting another. Taj is the kinda kid that will never forget you and this moment. Two super talents that I thoroughly enjoy!

Runs through his soul..💜
Taj is freaking *AMAZING*!!!! SUPER cool to see him at Norm's again!!
First time I’ve seen this young man, and I’m astounded. Those magnificent guitars certainly help, but man, I really like his style.
I love watching the young talent, yes that includes you Michael.
Two superb guitars and two superb players!
There’s a lot of really good young talent out there and it’s good news for the guitar world , sounds great guys 👍
A 13 y/o kid with that much sole and talent is just amazing 😎🎸🎵🎸🎶👏👏👏👏 o yeah, that lemmo guy is pretty damn amazing himself😎 much love from Colorado lemmo!
I'm so happy blues is not dead. It's gonna keep going strong even with the new generation of players!

Kids gotta a really cool hat from the 60s though that I’m sure his dad have him to try and make him look cool.

What an amazing talent, Taj! So special, and I sure enjoyed this! Peace, Charles
Kid's got the chops and is already a pro! And can I just say - that ebony 355 would look GREAT with my black LP Custom!

A black 355 is a dream guitar of mine (a black 335 would also be acceptable 😄). I remember the last time Taj was there. Awesome jam!
Just love his facial expressions!
Damn, that's nice!
All the best ones wear black! ❤
Hell yeah!
look at him being all pro and NOT noodling at all while lemmo is talking! 🤘(thinking of poor Angela having slide played over her while she's talking...)

Lol I noticed that as well last episode
Never understood why people play over others talking it bugs me so much lmao
Taj has matured his skills, he sounds more collected with meaningful phrasing. Good job kid.

Blues. Why?
Kid may have the worst head of hair since Mike Campbell 🤣
Well, so the store can be safe and sound, even if some day, Joe Bonamassa retires, Taj will pick up the baton
Out of Sight...
Epiphone all day long over Gibson
HOW?... WHY?... 13, REALLY?... oh I give up!
