Spotter is my friend, next to pirate island, the snag was necessary. Disc don’t come out of those reeds.

Can confirm this as someone who dug discs outta those reeds. Nothing getting through that no matter who threw it

I agree as in most water type reads a disc is not coming out of, same issue I have had with a local course and when water is high and in some cattails. Now when no water on local course, some people will have discs push through if a power player/lucky.

This is a very well-designed course. It is played on a golf course but doesn't play like a golf course. Lot's of shaping and planning are required to do well herel. This is a great destination for a major. I will strongly consider the drive from Idaho to watch it next year.

Of course social media is going to flip out even when Madison said she is fine with it. We live in a society of "offended for... upset on behalf of...." people who aren't effected in ANYWAY by a certain action, and have ZERO regard for the person that WAS effected by the action and what they feel and want to become of the whole deal. LMAO

Isn't Worlds already the "Major that moves around the country"? We already have a major that does that, what we (apparently now) don't have is a strictly wooded major. IMO Northwood Black was a great alternative after the pine beetle tragedy.

Who ever was claiming that Walker's drive was going to make it 'over/above' the reeds needs to have their eyes examined. The spotter was at best about 2.5 feet above the water when the disc was caught. The reeds appear to be about 8-10 feet high.

  • @davidf.1940

Champions cup needs to be at a wooded course. Northwoods fit great for it, but if they're worried about location, why not just use literally any wooded course out west? There's tons of great ones, and they have an entire year to adjust courses to fit pro tour level players. Swenson is just not a good location for that tournament, imo

Out of all the ball golf courses this one was definitely the best. Lots of low lines off the tees, early trees and hella water. Not a boring hyzer course at all.

    • @caseysmith544

Yes, this and one of courses for Texas Waco was next best where was first time using a Ball Golf course for Disc Golf was really strong having seen more footage of course outside of this channel. Sure, course was a hyzer/backhand and forehand course but was also an over the top of trees or gap course as well for 1/2 of same shots. Portland is Worst, playing like how Dynamic Disc Open Ball Golf played when a Ball Golf course was used.

I'd say Jake Wolff is another DD fumble -- he may not have been on lead card much, but he's a fascinating player to watch and market with

A traveling Major would be awesome. But I did love Northwoods Black. The USDGC should be moved there permanently. Winthrop is no longer the gold standard or an elite course.

It’s not perfect but unless you’ve been to the OTB Open, you wouldn’t understand. It’s a good for spectators and tough enough for pros. There hasn’t been a repeat champion in FPO. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of facilities that can handle the elite tour space in the west coast but hopefully that will change. Good place to start the west coast swing.

When you're throwing rollers on almost all holes it doesn't come close to a wooded course no matter how low the canopy is.
I hope the Europeans start their own pro tour and not let the dgpt/pdga ruin their stuff too.

If the players or fans think the USDGC is a good course to play a major at with hole 16 and a bunch of flag OB fairways because they were too lazy to make a real full course then idc what their opinion is on this. Make USDGC on northwood black every year then this can roam.
flagged fairways are the stupidest thing in this sport.

It's tough to be engaged with your commentary when you've already shown highlights of the final round that shows the scores on screen.
Also, that midroll ad with McBeth is double the volume of everything else.
    Thanks for the videos.

Disagree. The 5 minute rule is egregious and is coming into play waayyyy too often. It's not in the spirit of the sport. Make it 5 minutes early with a 60 second grace period

    • @BungalowTruth
      @BungalowTruth 13 днів тому +5

Is it that hard to be on time? My boss expects me to show up for work on time also. We’re not talking about amateurs. They’re professionals. It’s their job. No victims here.
