I know our girl is too young to know, but Stevie is one of the most iconic singer/songwriters in rock music history. By the way, the guitar player is Waddy Wachtel.
She's the only woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice! Once for Fleetwood Mac and again for her solo work! You have some listening to do! 😉♥️
Stevie Nicks is so badass! She appeared in the Destiny Child video for Bootylicious where they sampled that guitar riff! I love Stevie who is also a member of the iconic band, Fleetwood Mac! She has also had an amazing solo career! She is a legend!❤❤
Oh boy Stevie Nicks one of my all-time favorite female vocalists!! All the girls in school wanted to be Stevie & the boys wished we were Stevie!! That means I’m old but anyway …. She’s stunning!! Edge Of Seventeen means older than a child but not quite an adult. Great song! Stevie’s in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame for Fleetwood Mac & her solo career!! Amazing!! 🥰
The doves are about death calling. This song was primarily written about the death of John Lennon around the death of her uncle John. Same time. “Up the stairs and down the hall” is her searching for a doctor or nurse as he passed. Destiny’s Child sampled it for Survivor. The name of the song is Tom Petty’s wife talking about him and her accent. “Age of 17} became “Edge of 17.}
Welcome to the magic of Stevie Nicks. The guitarist is Waddy Wachtel. She's my favorite female rock performer. She was inducted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame TWICE... as a singer with Fleetwood Mac, and as a solo artist. The only woman inducted in the HoF TWICE.
From " Bella Donna " , this was '81 when Stevie was her most gorgeous & her voice so awesome ! I saw her '81 tour, & she was just luminous -------it was impossible to take your eyes off of her.
Stevie Nicks has always been my favorite female artist. Her free spirit is simply majestic. Can you please react to my favorite song from her, Riannon (live version) It's ftom when she was with Fleetwood Mac. It will blow you away!🌬
She is one of the greatest singer/songwriters in music history. First woman to be inducted twice into the "Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame." She was also called the first lady of rock. She along with the group "Fleetwood Mac" and her solo career were both outstanding. She has so many top 10 hits that you will be on one hell of ride doing reaction videos on her work. Awesome!.
@@TheMike_I Yes, and Stevie's father was with her and did the introduction..."ladies and gentlemen please welcome my daughter, Stevie Nicks." I remember like it was yesterday 🥺😊

Did you know Stevie Nicks is the only woman in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame as both a soloist AND as a singer in a band (Fleetwood Mac)? Wild. She's bad-ass.
That guitar riff is the brilliance of Waddy Wachtel. It elevates the song to a whole other level. Stevie performed this song at her Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2019. This is from her first solo album, Bella Donna. That entire album is fire! I thought you had reacted to Fleetwood Mac? She is one of the main songwriters and singers of FM. Classic like Rhiannon, Dreams, Landslide, Sara, Silver Springs, and Gypsy are all the genius of Stevie Nicks. She is the only woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, as a member of Fleetwood Mac, and as a solo artist. At this point in her career, she is the undisputed Queen Of Rock n Roll!
My favorite songs are Gold Dust Woman and Edge of Seventeen! The way to experience Fleetwood Mac and Stevie is just how you did- close your eyes and let the music wash through you, and let your body move to the beat. The drums and guitar drive this song and keep it going all the way through. Stevie is a goddess. A little loopy, but insanely talented.
Destiny’s Child borrowed that guitar riff for the song Bootylicious. The guitarist is Waddy Wachtel whose been playing with Stevie for over 40 years now.
We had some of the best music in the '80's. Imagine every day, and all day long, songs like this coming on the radio. Great times.....great times.... Life was good.
This song is actually very sad. It’s about her uncle dying of cancer and John Lennon being shot, within the same timeframe. The white winged dove, that’s self explanatory. The dove sing’s like this, ooh-ooh-ooh… To much to explain but you can look up the meaning of the song. Excellent Song, love her! Great reaction video!
Stevie Nicks is the lead singer for Fleetwood Mac. Try Fleetwood Mac-Gypsy (Official Music Video). Or - Rhiannon Fleetwood Mac Live 1976 - UA-cam. You will love either of them. Oh yea Stevie Nicks is one of the greatest Singer/Songwriters in rock music history she wrote the song you just listen to.
It's no wonder I ended up married to a lady with a "Stevie Nicks vibe" as my friends say. Stevie is just too incredible, too cool and a performance force.
As others have noted, this song is tribute to both John Lennon and Stevie's uncle Jonathan Nicks. According to Stevie, the line 'And the days go by like a strand in the wind' refers to how fast the days were going by during her uncle's illness, which was very upsetting to her. The lyric “I went today... maybe I will go again... tomorrow” refers to seeing her uncle at his home the day before he died. When she returned the next day her aunt had some music softly playing, and she thought it was a perfect place for the spirit to go away. The white-winged dove in the song is the spirit leaving the body, and refers to how both Johns were taken. 'I hear the call of the nightbird singing..... come away ... come away....' At the moment her uncle passed she was in the room with him holding his hand, along with her cousin who is a few years younger than her ('I'm a few years older than you, my love").
The song, as she explained it once during an interview is about her Uncle who died of cancer & John Lennon passing before his time and how it effected her. The part of the Dove was when she was looking after her uncle when he passed, she was alone at the time, very distraught & as she ran into the hallway she heard a dove outside.
The reason the guitar sounds so familiar is probably because Destiny's Child (Beyonce) samples it on their song "Bootylicious'. In fact, if you watch real close, Stevie appears for a few seconds playing guitar!
