- I cant seem to figure out why this lip gave me such a hard time and how its actually supposed to sit on the bumper, but for the most part that lip isn't going anywhere.
Sorry for the late upload, I was debating whether or not I should even upload this video because it wasn't the greatest DIY.

I'd recommend one of the pricey ones, maybe they have a better installation manual and fitment.

I know you probably have it resolved 2.5 years later, but for reference for new viewers: The expanding and blind rivets can be obtained at your local dealer or ordered through a website like FCP Euro. Use www.realoem.com/ to check your part numbers. Harbor Freight has a blind rivet kit, including the rivet tool for about $18. Also check out Kies Motorsports video on this install... He uses zip ties on the outermost holes to hang on to the bumper. I ended up having to do the same thing. All my install was done with rivets. No screws needed.

it looks awesome. one came with my m conversion kit aswell but i have not fitted it yet. need to do it. it looks way better
Micke yeah it was sitting in the house and it was killing me cause as soon as I got the bumper installed I test fitted the lip and it looked 10 times better
where'd you buy your bumper at to get the lip as well?
Hey ! Have you screwed the splitter into the two closest screws to the wheel? In the video you show them at 8.00. Or don't you need to tighten these screws?

After lowering have you encountered problems with hitting the front lip ? i have the same car with the lip and im lowering the car on h&R sport very soon , any advise ?
i like it, the rear bumper needs to match the front and i cant wait to see it, quick question swift do you have a link for the wire for the steering wheel paddle shifters to the passenger footwell? i tried soldering wire recently and failed miserably

I installed this to my 335xi about a month ago and it scraped against a speed bump and came right off. Didn't even last two weeks and Ive got stock suspension too. Hopefully you have better luck with yours!
John Smith that’s crazy man, but you need to know one thing, if there’s a speed bump ahead and you’re driving behind me in a rush, you’re gonna hate me, not only do I take the high ones sideways, I take them extremely slow, so yeah. I make sure to never be in a hurry and even if I am I’ll slow down extremely slow and go over the bump

Bro quick question why did u go with the matte lip instead of the shiny black that match your car.
Don't know if it's applicable to him, but I'll give you my take. I left all of the bottom pieces matte (front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser). The main reason was cost, knowing that those parts (especially the front lip) are prone to easy damage. In the end they will likely need replacement. To me it's not worth the cost of the painted part, much less CF. Now... I use my car as daily and track it from time to time. Perhaps if you or anyone else owns it as a weekend or show car, then aesthetics are a priority. In that case... spend away.

Yo man, any tips for disabling the front fog lights permanently? When I turn the wheel, only 1 light comes on (in the direction that I'm turning) and I've gotten pulled over for it because a cop thought one of my lights were out and I literally had to explain to him thats just the way my car is.
JL Royal wtf? When you turn one turns on and the other doesn’t? Type of shit is that? Try running your fogs on on and see if they still do it, try and look for an answer on the forums cause I have never heard of this
That's cornering light option. Might be able to disable to through idrive. If not, can be coded out.
Thanks for getting back to me man. I have a 2016 428I Gran Coupe. When the lights are set on Auto Mode and the wheels are straight, no fog lights are on (perfect lol) but then when you turn the wheel right, the right fog light will pop on and vice versa. It just looks awful. It happens anytime you put the blinker on too (you should check and see if yours do the same). I almost never set my lights to Auto anymore for this reason and I would really like to lol. I was thinking about just unplugging the foglights all together but I'm not sure the best way to do that. Fog lights are yellow too. Just ugly looking.

It's a cornering light option. It's Perfectly fine. It lights up the street in the direction you turn.
I had a problem installing this lip. The rivet for the end of both side wasn't long enough.
Jacky Chan same, the whole install is just dumb. Only way you can do it is by looking at the holes and finding proper screws/zip ties and just try your best to keep it up

BMW doesn’t put these lips on all M Sports so that they don’t get all scratched and damaged. Have fun scraping the pavement.
Streamlined it scrapes only on driveways and I’m ok with it idc
