I'm with CRST as a team driver. We routinely go all the way from coast to coast. We haven't ever stopped half way except to rescue a load because of maintenance issues. But of course this video is now nearly 8 months old so things might have just changed and it sounds like for the better. Thank you for posting
Bro, I’m company team on the dedicated side and have done both consistently. I’m OTR so I PU and DO between distribution facilities, conduct relays, rescues, trailer moves. Unless you have a dedicated lane, you can do it all if your DM is great!
Try running at 55-58mph Dont idle your truck Fuel up strategically to get the best $/gal. Also, dont fuel up a day or two vefore the end of week; use what u need for those days. Expand your load radius. The smaller the zone you have u r limiting yourself. I know its an older video n i hope u r doing better now.
Have they yet tried forcing you to drive teams? Be carful, my hubby's lease was just terminated yesterday as he was in the exact same position as you and then tried to say he wasn't being profitable and wasn't driving teams as he signed on with lease purchase to be solo.
@datboifromdabottom who do u have for your fleet manager? Yea, they've definitely shown they don't care for anyone but themselves. Also watch it as they left him and I stranded 10 hours away from home with no help and a truck full of his belongings 😞
@@nicolesheaner Jamie Martin was my fleet manager and I'm cleaning out my truck as we speak. So I can transfer my belongings to my new truck. 579 Pete with no governor.
That's eliminating over half the country staying below the 40. Plus the rates aren't as good because the other snowbirds that flock south in the winter
You're absolutely right. I only figured that out through trial and error. What doesn't kill me make me stronger in the end though. From now through next winter I'm running so I don't have to run as hard during the winter.
The Relay: Corporations cover fuel for company drivers. They benefit from constant motion and stop the fuel expense before you hit CA fuel prices and mandated 55mph speed limit. They maximize runtime for assets under management. The run: Almost coast to coast, on a SW lane, you would easily hit 650+ consistently. 1500 miles in 3 days should leave you with 40 hours of run time. If you aren't delayed by dispatch, you could line up a decent check (fuel surcharge depending). Freight blackouts that leave you sitting or provide negative revenue in a predominately automated queuing system is a telling sign 🛑 It sounds like a concentrated effort to push all the disjointed loads on drivers that already cover fuel, maintenance, and admin fees. 🛑 The business model: 100% Backend profits for the company: 3-5 year depreciation on a $150,000 asset Undisclosed % of the (total) freight bill All admin and management fees forwarded to the driver Zero fuel expense Complete control of asset loads and miles Auto deducted "maintenance escrow" "Low mile, fleet maintained" listing at auction With no overhead, and a guarantee that they can place a new "enterprising owner operator" in the asset if you go under. They typically run the unit to around 450k miles, then auction it off for 2-300% profit with zero maintenance expenditures. The problem: A fixed and unverifiable load board almost looks like a racket to churn inventory and force a repossession via bankruptcy. An exclusive operating agreement with an in-house lease is a recipe for disaster. They hold all the cards in a stacked deck while you pay to play. 🤔
@@trucker_jayycee I have a meeting with an owner op that has multiple trucks and authority. As long as I'm healthy I'm gonna be just fine. Thanks for asking
Not at CRST not to my knowledge but I was in an older truck. I think I had an inverter though but keep in mind if you get an older model you run the risk of things being out dated and barely working so bring extra fuses and patience
