This was another great series between these teams especially the first 2 games. Overall season series is now tied 5-5 and they play 3 more times at the end of September. Something tells me that'll be a series with a wildcard spot at stake. Its always fun and entertaining when the snakes and fathers get together. Cant wait for late September!
Snakes starting to heat up. If they had even 2 starting pitchers, that weren’t injured, the league would be on notice.
If Suarez can hit anywhere close to as well as he did today, you betcha.
Crazy thing is with all the injuries their still middle of the pack. Once everyone is healthy this team could be deadly
@@matthewsilvester4583 agreed, but this does expose a lack of bench depth, DBacks have been a losing team with a few key guys out. That was not an issue for other teams, because the bench kept em afloat. Obviously teams like Phillies/Twins are better with their full lineup healthy, but they have had some pretty big problems too. I think DBacks need to get more guys like Grichuk on the offseason, guys who are not main rotation but very good and not an absolute drag to watch when one of the main guys are injured.
@@ROFLBOB24Suarez feels a little bit like an X factor. If you get production out of him (and Carrol), everything else seems to fall into place

Suarez hitting makes all the difference in the lineup, in fact, the weak part of the lineup by and large did all the work today. Awesome job Nelson for winning the pitching duel today, as well.

Suarez and Carroll both stepped up today, we've had Mccarthy and Blaze steppin up, Thomas and Perdomo just coming back too looking really good. This is gonna be a nice second half of the season.

Good game for the Diamonbacks. Dylan Cease unfortunately did not get his run support. The player mic'd up chats were interesting. Maybe not have Zack Allen on there anymore. Dude sounds a bit too arrogant and full of himself.

Profar not looking very comfortable on defense, maybe it was just the angle but looked like he could’ve hustled to the ball more on eugenios double and couldve made a play on alec thomas fly ball double
Considering he was a shortstop first hopefully hes putting in that hard work hes talkig about on outfielding
He vlearly gives up when he sees the CF will pick up the ball faster but backing up is always good so he shouldn't've lolligagged.

The in play interviews are so DULL and BANAL. Also they absolutely should not be allowed whilst a player is on the field. It’s a distraction and can interfere in the game.
Dbacks came within 2 pitches of sweeping both Padres and Dodgers. Boo Sewald. Time for J Mart to try closing. Torrey, you listening?
Sewald ain't the problem, every pitcher has a bad day. Sewald happens to have had only one all year up to that point. I do think it's time to start rotating closers though, let Sewald come in to lock down a 3 run lead but not a 1 run lead for a little while.
You must not have seen Sewald's ERA & number of saves before....he was very good.
