Lion scientist, Dr. Craig Packer, who was the Director of the Serengeti Lion Project, did some experiments. He got life sized stuffed lions that had Velcro around the head and neck. They would put a stuffed lion with a dark mane next to one with a light colored mane. They played the sounds of hyenas at a kill. This got the lions interested and the females hoped to scavenge a meal. The lionesses would always choose the dark maned male. Dark maned males have more testosterone. They are stronger, have more aggression, they are better fighters and they heal faster. Females need stronger males to defend the territory from other males to they can raise the cubs successfully.
Y’all seem to convince over look when y’all are in the way of the wild life, like they came to y’all instead of y’all got in the way. Come on y’all better than that to lose that much focus
