Honestly the director guy did everything right with the elevator situation… no one’s gonna ask more questions about what happened if he just reprimands her for dressing too provocative. Easy for public to just say it was the woman’s fault and basically trash the other guy’s social status as a rapist. He’s got his priorities right which is to preserve her public reputation, doing it in a way where the other guy isn’t getting off totally scot free. Good script writing and realistic!
