    Thank you for the video, I was able to make labels for the 8 oz bottles of water for my daughter's quinceanera. I used Microsoft 10 and saved it as a PDF then printed at the copy store. SO grateful!

    Hello Tracy this video was great I got lost a few times but I just stopped and replayed and went step by step until I figured it out. The only part I couldn't figure out is how to get the border around the entire image without it being around the images that I copied and pasted.

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  7 років тому

      When you say "entire image" what do you mean? The border around the label is acutally just a border around the rectangle shape.....the border around the inside circle is just a border around the circle shape. Does that help? I do go a bit fast as the videos would be really long if not...I do assume most will just stop and rewind when necessary...so glad they turned out!

    Thank you for sharing! It's very helpful watching your video. Question, when you filled in the box with the polka dots, can you use a pattern fill instead the steps you used?

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  8 років тому

      Not sure what you mean by "pattern fill". There are pre-canned patterns in MS Word which are horizontal strips, vertical, dots, etc...but those don't give you a lot of flexibility to change shapes, colors, sizes....the other option is to "fill" the shape with a background picture. Problem with using that is that the picture will get stretched...if you're using horizontal strips, no problems but the polka dots will get warped...hope that helps.

    • @mamatosh05
      @mamatosh05 8 років тому

      Tracey Hull Got it. Thanks for replying

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  8 років тому

      hey there, believe or not, I was thinking about your question and I did forget that you CAN pattern fill BUT you need to be sure the pattern is cut the correct way. Here's how you do it: Insert a shape > Shape Fill > Texture > More textures > The format picture will come up on the left hand side > Click on > Picture or Texture Fill > Click on Picture or Texture Fill > Insert Picture From > (select your file) > CLICK Tile Picture at Texture (two boxes below) and that will tile your picture. I hope that helps.

      You can hold down the shift key and click on each object then left click and do a copy. You could also go to the top and do a select all then CTRL-C for copy then CTRL-V for paste.

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  8 років тому +4

      I use stock paper (thick paper). Once you cut out the labels, you get the clear masking tape and it should fit nearly perfect around the label. Using the masking tape rather than sticker paper will help make the label look smoother!

    If you wanted to create mutiples of the labels , do you have to create them one by one or is there a way to make one label and then copy that one and paste it mutiple times?

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  8 років тому +1

      Yes, you can do a select all (cntl-A) and copy and paste. It takes a bit of getting used to but once you figure out the spacing not bad....another option is that you can copy objects one by one and paste them on top of one another, that's usually what I do as I find it easer then working the spacing on the select all...I'll try to make a video next week....hope that helps!

    What type of appear is used and also what adhesive is used to secure label into bottle?

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  6 років тому

      Easiest thing to do is purchase clear packaging tape and use that. Cut the water bottle labels out, then get your packaging tape and cut it slightly longer than your label, then you keep it taught and lay it on top of the label so it covers it completely. Then you just secure one edge of the tape to the water bottle then ring it around and tape the other end over...they turn out beautiful!

    what paper do you use to make these

  • @MsWelch12
    @MsWelch12 8 років тому

    When inserting the background instead of copying and pasting could I just do 2 inches height and 8 inches width so that the background fits in the original box

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  8 років тому +1

      No, you cant, it will elongate the picture. There is an option to tile but that wont work with the polka dot background. You can take a look at my most recent video (Star Wars invitations or star wars water bottle labels) to learn how to tile, but again, it will only work with certain stripes and non sequential backgrounds.

    Do you know how I can make miniature labels if I just save Oreo label from google and make it a small size like about the size of a dime and then how do I save it without losing resolution?? I’ve saved logos from google before, went on word and saved it when I tried to print it out it said something like “low resolution” with like a yellow triangle ⚠️ that the picture was not saved. What do I save it under and how do I keep the resolution? Thanks so much in advance

    • @traceyhull4221

    How can I wrap it around a bottle?

    • @traceyhull4221
      @traceyhull4221  7 років тому

      You can use packaging tape (the clear tape used to ship packages). All you do is cut the labels out.....put them on a glass or plastic surface and then sticky side down stick the label to the tape (it should fit nearly perfect). Then you just wrap it around the bottle. Works perfect!
