Tracey, Thank you so much. I’m in the least bit creatively blessed. But you have made my life a BREEZE!! I have been able to get things in order for my son’s first birthday in a day. You’re a life saver. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Thank you for the video, I was able to make labels for the 8 oz bottles of water for my daughter's quinceanera. I used Microsoft 10 and saved it as a PDF then printed at the copy store. SO grateful!
Hi Tracey, Love your channel. Do you have a recommendation of what printer paper to use? I don't want to use original paper but was unsure which would be best. thanks for you help
Hello Tracy this video was great I got lost a few times but I just stopped and replayed and went step by step until I figured it out. The only part I couldn't figure out is how to get the border around the entire image without it being around the images that I copied and pasted.
When you say "entire image" what do you mean? The border around the label is acutally just a border around the rectangle shape.....the border around the inside circle is just a border around the circle shape. Does that help? I do go a bit fast as the videos would be really long if not...I do assume most will just stop and rewind when necessary...so glad they turned out!
Thank you for sharing! It's very helpful watching your video. Question, when you filled in the box with the polka dots, can you use a pattern fill instead the steps you used?
Not sure what you mean by "pattern fill". There are pre-canned patterns in MS Word which are horizontal strips, vertical, dots, etc...but those don't give you a lot of flexibility to change shapes, colors, sizes....the other option is to "fill" the shape with a background picture. Problem with using that is that the picture will get stretched...if you're using horizontal strips, no problems but the polka dots will get warped...hope that helps.
hey there, believe or not, I was thinking about your question and I did forget that you CAN pattern fill BUT you need to be sure the pattern is cut the correct way. Here's how you do it: Insert a shape > Shape Fill > Texture > More textures > The format picture will come up on the left hand side > Click on > Picture or Texture Fill > Click on Picture or Texture Fill > Insert Picture From > (select your file) > CLICK Tile Picture at Texture (two boxes below) and that will tile your picture. I hope that helps.
Why thank you! That was nice of you to include the steps. Keep the videos coming & I know your channel will attract more viewers . Your channel is so helpful.
I have a tutorial on just that...please take a look at my channel for the video (it uses the other water bottle labels as an example) let me know if you can find it!
You can hold down the shift key and click on each object then left click and do a copy. You could also go to the top and do a select all then CTRL-C for copy then CTRL-V for paste.
I use stock paper (thick paper). Once you cut out the labels, you get the clear masking tape and it should fit nearly perfect around the label. Using the masking tape rather than sticker paper will help make the label look smoother!
If you wanted to create mutiples of the labels , do you have to create them one by one or is there a way to make one label and then copy that one and paste it mutiple times?
Yes, you can do a select all (cntl-A) and copy and paste. It takes a bit of getting used to but once you figure out the spacing not bad....another option is that you can copy objects one by one and paste them on top of one another, that's usually what I do as I find it easer then working the spacing on the select all...I'll try to make a video next week....hope that helps!
Easiest thing to do is purchase clear packaging tape and use that. Cut the water bottle labels out, then get your packaging tape and cut it slightly longer than your label, then you keep it taught and lay it on top of the label so it covers it completely. Then you just secure one edge of the tape to the water bottle then ring it around and tape the other end over...they turn out beautiful!
When inserting the background instead of copying and pasting could I just do 2 inches height and 8 inches width so that the background fits in the original box
No, you cant, it will elongate the picture. There is an option to tile but that wont work with the polka dot background. You can take a look at my most recent video (Star Wars invitations or star wars water bottle labels) to learn how to tile, but again, it will only work with certain stripes and non sequential backgrounds.
Tracey Hull do you have another way to communicate so I can show you what happens when I do change stuff around? If you don’t mind helping me lol I understand if you can’t
Is there a way I could copy a group, like when I group something can I copy that specific chunck and just keep pasting it so I don’t have to keep creating the label
Do you know how I can make miniature labels if I just save Oreo label from google and make it a small size like about the size of a dime and then how do I save it without losing resolution?? I’ve saved logos from google before, went on word and saved it when I tried to print it out it said something like “low resolution” with like a yellow triangle ⚠️ that the picture was not saved. What do I save it under and how do I keep the resolution? Thanks so much in advance
Tracey Hull I don’t think you understand me I said after I save it and take it to the store the triangle symbol appears that then says low resolution and I just wanted to know if you can tell me what I need to save it under in word to print out with normal resolution
You can use packaging tape (the clear tape used to ship packages). All you do is cut the labels out.....put them on a glass or plastic surface and then sticky side down stick the label to the tape (it should fit nearly perfect). Then you just wrap it around the bottle. Works perfect!
Sometimes if objects are layered on top of eachother, they don't copy...youll have to move the object on top over, copy the object underneath then movie it back...kind of a pain but I hope that helps!
hello i am trying to find your video how to download fonts that you have said that you have uploaded in the past i can't find the video if you can link it please

You can hold down the shift key and click on each object then left click and do a copy. You could also go to the top and do a select all then CTRL-C for copy then CTRL-V for paste.
Thank you for sharing, that really was helpful!! One question, what type of paper or adhesive labels to use to print on?

What about the paper that it prints on, the sticky label kind
I actually print on stock paper and use clear packaging tape over it to have it stick to the water bottle and turns out fantastic!
Tracey Hull thanks for the reply and helpful tip, is this the only software that’s free, I’ve only seen trial programs
Tracy can you do a coloring book with an 8.5x11 ?
I do have a coloring book tutorial...feel free to use that and just don't change the paper size!
Tracey Hull do you have another way to communicate so I can show you what happens when I do change stuff around? If you don’t mind helping me lol I understand if you can’t

Do you know how I can make miniature labels if I just save Oreo label from google and make it a small size like about the size of a dime and then how do I save it without losing resolution?? You're using word? You get the yellow rectangle in word when making it smaller, I've never come across that so I cant help...sorry.
Tracey Hull I don’t think you understand me I said after I save it and take it to the store the triangle symbol appears that then says low resolution and I just wanted to know if you can tell me what I need to save it under in word to print out with normal resolution
Where are you trying to get it printed? Are you printing from .pdf or .doc?

How do you fill the whole page with the wraps?
I have a video called how to copy and paste multiple labels...will walk you through step by step.

How can I wrap it around a bottle?
You can use packaging tape (the clear tape used to ship packages). All you do is cut the labels out.....put them on a glass or plastic surface and then sticky side down stick the label to the tape (it should fit nearly perfect). Then you just wrap it around the bottle. Works perfect!
I made my label...but when I went to copy it...the top lettering in my circle dosen't copy..dont know what I did wrong.
Sometimes if objects are layered on top of eachother, they don't copy...youll have to move the object on top over, copy the object underneath then movie it back...kind of a pain but I hope that helps!
Thank you so much...that is a big help for next time...
