GREAT VIDEO. NEW SUB HERE
can you mix aspect ratios for your video or once the aspect ratio has been chosen you need to stick with that throughout the video? e.g., can i go from 16:9 for landscape shoot to 1:1 or taller aspect rations? how do you set the pixel aspect ration, is there an option on camera setting for that? i know there are setting in the camera for choosing the aspect ration of your video but how about pixel aspect ration settings in the camera?
Aspect ratios can be mixed, but depending on what aspect ratio you are producing in, there will be empty space either on top or on the sides of your video. People sometimes refer to these as black bars. Some cameras (older cameras) have some pixel aspect ratio options, but most of the time they are tied the compression you are using. Most cameras today shoot a 1:1 pixel aspect ratio, unless you are shooting anamorphic, but thats a whole other bag of worms. Good luck!
